Training for two (Amaya, James)

James smiles and says, "Okay, okay I won't trick people. Though attacking me would of seen how we compare in regards to our strength and weaknesses so no real lose if you had attacked me. I don't mind if I am beat by somebody better than me."
He then looks Amaya in the eyes, winks, looks at both of them again and says, "Yes, both of you. Saves me the trouble of having to find partners to do the rank up mission with and the trouble of wondering if we can work together. As Amaya knows I don't like teaming up with incompetent allies. They might shock themselves or get bitten on the foot, significantly weakening themselves in a fight. And if the allies don't understand the idea of improvising on the spot when a teammate steps up to give them time."
He then turns to the girl, giving his undivided attention and says, "Oh trust me, the scares we are gonna be faced with, will make you wish that you had enjoyed this one. We are shinobi, and it's our duty to face the scares of this world head on."
He then sighs, relaxing visibly, before saying, "Okay, so then, do you guys wanna train with a spar, or do some jutsu practice then. Heck, if you guys wanna do some serious training, I could teach you two earth element, and that might help balance out your lightning Amaya." He glances at Amaya before turning back to the girl. "Might not though. Uh, I didn't catch your name, and I might not said mine, so mine's James, may I know my teammates name?"
He puts his hand up so that she could shake it. Whether she does or not, he'll then continue, "I know some off hand basic jutsus if you guys want them, they can be useful in the long run and if you use them right."

Amaya closed her eyes and sighed, ignoring James childish views on battle. Amaya knew that innovation was always good in a fight, but at the expense of your team is wrong. She would have to work with what she got. "No, I am not particularly interested in earth. Perhaps water, later, but lightning suits me just fine. As for training, I am up for a spar or should you wish, just practicing or teaching jutsu. My field of study is rather limited currently so I could use some more techniques in my arsenal."
She gave Dastri a reassuring smile, so that the girl would have no problems teaming up with this boy. She didn't relish the thought that the girl thought Amaya would need protection, but it was still good that she wanted to defend her teammates.

Dastri smiled back at Amaya and relaxed a bit more. "Okay... Well, I don't really need a new element right now either, but I've got plenty of taijutsu stuff I need to practice. So I guess I could vote for sparring. Kicking dummies gets kind of old after awhile."

James smiles, then drops the smile and says, "Okay, sparring it is. Now then, I rather not face you two at once, but I think that's a great way to see how far along we all are. Just don't hurt me too much. I'll teach you the off hand stuff I know after we gauge each other's strengths."
He spins around, then walks putting a distance of ten meters between them, before he turns back around, and relaxes, looking at the other two.
"Ready when you are." he says, before bending down, picking up a rock, throwing it up in the air to eye level, then does a one handed tiger, changing the rock into a cane, about five feet long.. He grabs the cane as soon as it finished changing, and twirls it around, like it was a staff. He places it on the right side of him, leaning on the staff, and only holding on with his right hand. He glances at the two, and shrugs. He then tosses the cane up, then puts it across his shoulder, and he rushes towards the two, activating his shoes, to help make him faster. (+25 speed)
Whenver he reaches a meter away from Amaya, he would shift himself to the right, sending out the part of the staff out aiming to make Amaya step backwards. But he wasn't focusing on Amaya, solely, and when he shifts, he looks at the other girl and says, "So you didn't tell me your name, but Amaya says you're training to be a close combat specialist, so I'm curious as to what you've picked up in close combats."
His right hand still on his staff, the fingers closed around it pointing forward, he wrist flicks his can off of his shoulder, twisting it out and around his right side,  letting it go for a second to change his grip to swipe the cane across to try and either hit the other girl or make her back step. If both things are successful, he stop, jumping back, to separating from them by two meters. If not, he prepares to dodge any counters sent his way.

Amaya would sigh as sparring wasn't something she super wanted to do, but it was something. Close combat wasn't quite what she was good at but atleast she could attempt to fight the boy. She rushed at James, her speed 10 without build up and dropped, making a spinning low sweep as he went to hit Dastri. She would effectively be attacking his blindspot hopefully, but at a speed of 17 her chances to hit were pretty minor.

Dastri watched James and shifted slightly as he made the rock cane, getting ready to move as he came closer. She watched him go for Amaya first and quickly hopped backwards just before he started to swing the cane her way, not wanting to be in it's reach. As the cane swept past her feet she would step forward once and immediatly jump towards him and twisting through the air as she swung her other foot at a speed of 40 and a strength of 23 as she used Leaf Whirlwind. After the first kick she would fall to the ground and swing her foot again in a sweeping motion at the same speed, extending it fully to reach further than the first kick. "I've learned leaf whirlwind for one thing!" As her rotation came to a stop she would transition into her next move immediatly if he was still standing, pushing herself forward if he wasn't too far away, and place a hand on the ground as she launched her right foot straight up towards his face, using Leaf Rising wind, or attempting to as she hadn't fully learned the technique, moving at a speed of 30 with a power of 13 with the simple kick meant to pop her opponent into the air.

James lets go of the cane, it flying through the air between Amaya and the other girl. He then blocks and shoves the other girl's leg, surprised at the force put behind it, with the shove he sends the girl between him and Amaya, preventing Amaya from attacking (this is before Amaya even starts her sweeping attack).
He grins, and says, "Nice kick, but you still ignored the question at hand. So, do I get to know your name, or do I have to win this spar to learn it?"
James grins, then jumping back two meters, he preforms the hand signs of boar then ram, then rat, and with that, a sword appears within his right hands. He tests if a little swinging it back and forth, then grins.
"Amaya, you might enjoy this one. Immaterial Sword jutsu, a space/time jutsu. It creates a sword with two neat abilities,  though for now I'll just use it as a sword, as I don't think I'm quite ready to use this sword to it's full abilities. Instead, I will use this, as my next weapon."
He then dashes towards Dastri, swiping at the legs, before stepping back a step and swiping towards and swiping at her arms. He doesn't put as much speed into his swing as he could thanks to his shoes, but as fast as his base swing speed is.(Both swipes go at 40 speed). He grins, and says, "Not to fast for you, right?"
He then spins towards Amaya, doing a downcut, before jumping back three meters, and says, Having fun yet, Amaya, other girl?"

[twc 1338, 1338/2k Immaterial Sword]

Amaya eeped as she caught Dastri, blushing at being so close but set the girl straight, should she allow Amaya to catch her. Next, Amaya sighed and rolled her eyes at James. "You think there is a space time jutsu I wouldn't know?"
With a cocky grin, she extended her hand. Purple sparks flashed across her arm as the blade would form, those same sparks arcing across the blade shortly. It was a little heavy, being not fully practiced, but even still she could aim at forwards at the boy. "Well Dastri doesn't have a sword...i don't think so be careful on her part."
With that she would rush James, making a slash downwards, designed to hit across his chest in a shallow cut at 17 speed, followed by a quick backwards pull of her blade where she would send another swipe across the bridge of his nose, that would most definitely scar if he let it hit. Should this attack go through, she would gauage his speed and send several repeated thrusts at his chest, designed to where she could pull the sword back if necessary as to not actually seriously injure the boy. Obviously she didn't want to hurt him, but they also needed to be in top shape for the mission that they hoped to do. Her barrage was primarily faced to his front to hopefully give Dastri a chance to go around his back and hit him while he focused on the S/T prodigy.

Dastri was quite suprised when James managed to catch her kick and toss her into Amaya. She blushed as the other girl caught her and laughed nervously. "Aheh... good thing I'm so light huh?" She smiled and breathed a sigh of relief as Amaya set her down. She would then back up so that Amaya could take James head on. "Um, yeah, I don't have any weapons... so please don't cut my head off. And my name is Dastri." She would take a deep breath and watch the two of them sword fight for a moment, an idea slowly forming in her head. She didn't like using her hands to fight, but maybe having a sword wouldn't be so bad. It sure would help when people started pulling out crazy space swords like they were doing now. But getting a sword and fighting a teacher for it would have to wait, for now she stepped back a bit further behind Amaya and started to circle both of them, looking for an opening to attack, not wanting to just charge in and get herself hurt by getting between the two blade swinging Genin while they started to get intense. She felt like a weak rabbit watching two bigger animals fight. Bigger animals with big sharp teeth. She needed a tooth too. But for now, she simply bid her time and waited.

[besides ignoring the fact that i'm moving at 32 speed, ignoring the fact that I attacked Dastri, and you attempting to attack me wouldn't have stopped that at all, i'll continue on]

James yawns, as he parries Amaya's first down slash at him, steps back to dodge her attack across his nose. He keeps an eye on Dastri, but other then that, he attacks once again, sweeping at her feet with a low kick (32 speed, 26 strength), then rises up, and if she falls, pointing the immaterial sword at her, he will say, "Yield."
If she doesn't fall, or dodges, he will send an uppercut towards her, then a downward slash, followed by placing his sword at her neck, he would then say, "Yield."
He would also make sure he kept track of Dastri, ready to activate his armor if need be.
