The Journey Begins

It was time. His journey to Hoshi would begin today, his bags packed and his mind steady. He had so many things to talk to Akihana about… Finding out the twins had claimed Kumo… the sudden disappearance of both Maku and her husband, Mortarion, having suddenly left the world of the living. He couldn’t truly believe it all.
 
He would never have the chance to kill Mortarion, and if the twins were in charge why was the rot of Mortarion still plaguing the village? He just needed a break from such matters, and to see his mother’s shining face once more. She would likely set everything straight in his head, healing the pain of his loss and struggles. It would seem as though he didn’t have to break his promise to Akihana, if one could try and find a silver lining to it all.

Young Max would look down to his new arm, the metal now gone and replaced with a sickly grey arm made of flesh. It was a vast improvement, as while it may have been a bit less durable, he could fully utilize his techniques while using it. Such would prove useful moving forward.

Of course it was developed with Mortarion's own techniques, his disgusting experiments and atrocities towards people being used for a better cause going forward. At least Max would hope he could manage such a thing...
