Entering The Stronghold [Village Entry]

Kaito would arrive with the elderly man outaide of Kumogakure's large gate. The Otokage couldn't help but be 8mpressed with their design, and he hoped thwt somedqy soon his own villqge of Otogqkure could have some just the same.

"This is where we part ways, old man. Thank you for everything."

"Dont you want a ride back home, sonny?"

"No, thanks. I'll take it from here." Kaito would remove himself from the elder's company, going to stand just outaide the gate as he awaited the gate guard to approach him and inquire about his business in the village. All the while he ensured thst his village headband was tucked away and his Rinnegan deactivated to shoe thst he came bearing no ill will and was not a lingering threat.

Jun was posted on guard duty for the first time in his brief shinobi career. "Perhaps they wouldn't trust a mere Genin with such an important task" he wondered at first. But after a few days of nothing very exciting happening, he was starting to get bored. On this particular day, Jun was sitting inside the  gate guard station waiting for the first visitor of the day to approach, and even though the rain poured heavily because of Raijin's Rolling Thunder, due to the Chunin's special connection with the sun, Jun knew it hung at it’s most predominant point in the sky, reaching upwards past and behind the very cloudy overcast, meaning it was almost high noon. The bored Chunin started to think about lunch, as he had some homemade dumplings waiting to be devoured. As the thought of his mother's delicious food invaded his mind, finally something caught his sight.

From afar, Jun could see what appeared to be two people walking through the sturdy Sky Bridge, a ten-meter wide three-meter thick structure that is the only way to reach the Heaveanly Gates. At the end of it extension, the bridge widens into a fifty-meter circular platform, where the walls of the gate divide the platform in two halfs. "Well, hello there visitors..." Jun thought, curious about the pair. He instantly activated his Perfect Tengan to have a better look at the duo, and with his now enhanced visual prowess, he was able to better evaluate them. Out of the two thermal signatures he could see, one seemed to be an elder male by his physical attributes and the way he walked. The other man, on the other hand, was also an male, but he definetely looked younger (or at least he could walk better) and he difenitely carried some ninja equipment and weapons with him. A shinobi perhaps? Things could finally become interesting now.

Jun awaited for both man to approach the gate guard station as he kept anylizing them with his doujutsu. As both seemed like visitors and with them most likely not having the Raijin's Rage/Fujin's Fury tattoo, the pair walked the bridge they would be pummelled by the ever present rain, a courtesy of Raijins Rolling Thunder village defense, that seemed to sap the very strengh from their bodies, making simple techniques and movements way more tiring than regular.

As both man reached the circular platform where the gates stood, it seemed as the younger lad bid farewell to the elder and started heading towards the gate guard station. Jun quickly deactivated his Tengan so that his eyes would appear normal as the man approached. It was time to find out what a foreign shinobi wanted to to in the village. The man was of average height, and had some pronounced canine-esque facial features, having long dark brown hair that he tied off into a shaggy ponytail in the back.

"Hello there, traveler. If you wish to enter the village, I’ll need your name, where you’re coming from and any potential village affiliations. Also, any additional travel documents including your Shinobi ID to help me speed this process up so it would be nice if you have them.” the Chunin politely asked the stranger as he was 5m away from the station, ready to react to anything he could say or do.

From what Kaito could see, Kumogakure’s gate guard seemed very much attentive and alert. This was to be expected, of course, and Kaito couldn’t help but feel some admiration for the lad. He had been employed on guard duties before during his time in Sunagakure, and it had been perhaps the most boring task that a shinobi could be given. It took guts, in Kato’s opinion, to take the job and do it without fuss, and the Otokage was witnessing this firsthand in regard to the blonde-haired boy before him.

“Understood, sir.” Kaito said with a slow bow before righting himself and holding his hands before him to show that he meant no harm. “Please excluse me as I retrieve my documentation from my item pouch.” Keeping his right hand held before him, the Otokage would slowly manuver his left arm to reach into the pouch at his hip, opening it and shuffling through it for a quick moment before slowly removing his shinobi identification papers and his Otogakure headband. He would present the items to the gate guard, allowing the younger shinobi to take them in their own hands if needed, before positioning his left hand in front of himself again in the same manner that he held his right hand. “My name is Uchiha, Kaito, and I represent the village of Otogakure as it’s First Otokage.” Kaito would pause for a moment, allowing the guard to confirm his claims as they were presented on the documentation he had presented and to ask any questions before continuing to speak himself. “To be completely honest, I am here through coincidence rather than desire. Seeing as I have managed to find my way here, however, I would like to request an audience with your Lord Raikage.”

“An audience, you say?”

Her soothing tone of voice would seemingly demand the attention of both the visitor and the Chuunin, as she approached the scene. The woman stood at 5’8 ft tall and long light red/pale auburn hair kept in a loose braid with bangs would sway in the gentle breeze as she stopped merely 10 meters from them both collectively. Her eyes made her stand out more than her hair and other features - they were golden with multiple rings within them. This was no skill, or Doujutsu, merely genetics.

Normally in her suit and tie-like apparel, so her standing among the other shinobi made her seem a bit more important, but it was merely her way, standing out. She enjoyed the attention she gets, most commanded while the rest earned through harsh acts.

But to the point at hand, this man was at the gates of her home requesting to speak to the Raikage, from what she gathered from closing the distance initially. Ichigo was a dear friend to her, and she didn’t understand why someone that was here by chance also looking to speak with the Kage. But then, she would presume that it would make sense that they sought him out as a sign of respect to being in his lands. She would play the same card, but there has to be more to it than that. She was in no real place to questi- on second thought.  

“And what business do you have with Lord Ichigo? And do not mince your words with me, I take offense to dismissive talk.”

She would slowly glance over to Jun, taking into acknowledgement all that he did today as a gate guard. Granted she didn’t witness any difficulty in their exchange, Jun and the Otokage, but she was never too lenient when it came to outsiders. Should Jun notice he would be granted a genuine smile with an eerie air accompanied by it. Ayuna was the daughter of Aokidanza and Yachiru after all, even if she herself was unaware of it.

He stayed his distance for a moment as he watched the three speak, where danger went trouble was not far behind as it were. When Ayuna arrived to the scene, so too would the doctor of the mountains, the mad medic of Kumogakure, the handsome devil that even defied death and occasionally the Raikage as well. Mukuro Ketsua. For today was like no other and he was bored with work, he found himself tailing his partner, the befitting right hand of the Kage himself. Something about a visitor at the gates from what he could sus out but likely someone traveling. It was not until he had gotten closer, no more than ten meters from the gates that he could finally see or rather hear who the person was. A smiled played upon his face as his facy footwork, and those fancy shinobi sneakers to boot, moved silently from behind the gates until he had been a meter to the right of Ayuna and with a small tilt of his cap he would rest his chin upon her shoulder," Be careful of this one now~ She's all work and no play which means you should probably not fiddle around too much," he looked up for a moment then back to the male before his smile waned and he remembered something. Snapping his fingers he would step from behind the beautiful woman and saunter off toward Kaito and eventually behind him where would swivel on the heels of his feet and place his right hand in the center of his back.

His smile would not return just yet as he leaned in for just a moment, his entire posture relaxed as he relayed a few words to him," This isn't me being funny by the way, but if we are going to have a delegation from a "lost" village then we should at least be able to speak with you in earnest. I may be the easiest to trust, within reason, I am also the quickest to dismember so for the moment answer my lovely partners question please and thank you?," as he spoke he would proceed to surge his own chakra into the male, breaking the then would be genjutsu of the village on the male before stepping back and sliding his hands deep into his pants pockets. To the suspected Kage of the Sound it would feel as if nothing had been done to him,in fact he might have felt healthier but as for the rain that had been pelting him? Well the rain would no longer persist to bother him. Call it generosity on his part. Taking his place back on the side of his partner he would allow her to continue her interrogation of the male, all the while returning his stoic smile as he spun his hat on his fingers.

Kaito instinctively heightened his awareness when two more Kumogakure shinobi made their presence known behind the blonde gate guard. The first of them to speak, a woman, had auburn hair that framed her face. The red seemed to speak volumes about her personality, and she addressed her village's visitor in a very matter-of-fact way. She wasn't playing around, and Kaito knew that if he made even the slightest slip of the tongue, he would have a serious battle on his hands. Not that a battle was his goal, of course, but with tensions always turned up to the maximum in the shinobi world, it was always a possibility.

The second individual to approach was a fair-skinned man with silver hair tucked away behind a backwards-facing cap. From the way the man spoke Kaito could easily ascertain that he was the smooth talker of the duo, but he was quick to assure the Otokage that he would just as quickly kill him if he messed around. Kaito would allow him to place a hand on his back, but he would simply assume that it was a gesture to assure him of the Kumogakure shinobi's authoriity over the situation. What the Otokage realized, however, was that the rain and the heaviness it carried went away almost instantly. The wetness he had once felt went away as well, almost as though it had never even been there in the first place.

'A genjutsu, perhaps?' Kaito thought to himself, not moving a muscle as his eyes shifted over his shoulder to the man standing directly behind him before shifting them back to the woman. She was awaiting a response from Kaito, and the man knew that he could not keep her waiting or risk a swift death at their hands.

"Allyship." Kaito said simply as the silver-haired man took his original position back amongst his peers. "Please forgive my rudeness in nonchalantly walking up to your door without proper invitation, but my village is the newest on the international scene. As the Kage of Otogakure I am looking to develop some prosperous relations among the Great Nations." Kaito would continue to remain on high alert, but he would eagerly await the villagers' response to his inquiry, and he would pray that he did not inadvertently speak out of tone.

"Uchiha Kaito...Otokage..." The stranger's words got stuck into Jun's head as he revealed his identity. So, the mysterious man trying to enter the village wasn't just a regular shinobi, he was an Uchiha, from the same clan of the man Jun and Saturn faced at the warmonger's arena, and not only thatm but he was also a freaking Kage of another freaking Hidden Village. Yes, it's true that Jun never heard of any Otogakure or Otokage, but still, for a ninja to reach Kageship in any hidden village, it meant that he was tremendously powerful. And being the very first Otokage also meant that this man founded or helped found this "new" hidden village.

Before Jun could process the information, two of Kumogakure most famed Jounin appeared out of nowhere: Ayuna Chinoike and Mukuro Ketsua. Ayuna had the most unique set of eyes Jun ever saw, being both gold with multiple red rings within them, and she gave Jun a smile when the Chunin turned to see the owner of such sweet yet incisive voice. Mukuro appeared right after, speaking in a more threatening way. Jun never met both of them in person before, but they were well known among the village, specially among the shinobi forces. And just the fact that the two appeared suddenly conveyed to the young Chunin the magnitude of the situation, as well as the efficiency of the village's security when dealing with potential foreign treats.

Both Jounins inquired the Otokage what kind of business he had to discuss with the Lord Raikage, with Mukuro even breaking the rain Genjutsu of the village's defense in a display of power and good will, making the rain pummeling the Uchiha to stop.

"Allyship" was the answer provided by the Otokage, which Jun barely listened as he was examining the documents and the unique Headband from Otogakure in his hands, touching the symbol engraved in the metal with his fingers.

"Well, Otokage-Sama... it seems to me that you are speaking the truth... and if both my esteemed colleagues agree, I don't think the Lord Raikage would refuse an audience with another Kage, specially one coming in such good faith... but given your position and rank, and for your safety as well, I do believe that they will need to accompany and escort you through the Village to meet our leader. Do you have any objections regarding this?"

As she pondered upon what the response for her inquiry was she would sense Mukuro the moment he stepped within 5 meters of her chakra sensory passive range. But instead of acknowledging him right away, she decided to let him feel that he held the advantage over her. As his chin found her shoulder she would release a short irritated sigh, shifting those unique eyes of her’s to find his. She pierced those tunnels with overwhelming presence. She wanted him to mentally check that she will not let that slide.

Opting to remain quiet, deciding that should be convincing enough for him. That brief pause when Mukuro looked up was when this took place. He broke his gaze to continue speak as he removed his person from behind her. She presumed that he was going to do something honorable to make the visitor understand he’s not a threat, but then she chuckled as she thought he could have just stayed hidden. Mukuro being here just over complicates things…he’s just as dangerous as she is, with nearly no such understanding of self control. Let’s hope the Kage of Rice don’t say the wrong thing.

Her eyes would now meet with the Otokage, such a young and handsome boy he was, and such a wonderful toy he would make for her. She smiled softly as she intensified her gaze. The words that parted from his lips did not move her. Ally-ship? Has it already spread wind that Kumogakure known claims ownership over the volcano country? Or was there something else, she pondered. What does he hope to gain from saying that? What does kumogakure stand to gain from such an alliance and she says such because she was utterly certain that she could singlehandedly annihilate the entirety of Rice herself.

“I see… Just in time, eh Dagon?”

She said, firstly responding to the Otokage and finishing with her personal bodyguard, Dagon. Who made his way over to her from above, landing  right before her facing the Otokage. She did not have to question if he completed the assignment she gave to him, he was thorough. She did need to hear what he thought about what Kaito said. Dagon was not only her trusted guard, he was also her most trusted advisor. She enjoyed watching his gears go. But, she rather not doddle. Placing a hand on the shoulder of Dagon he would step aside.

Jun was speaking truth as they would have to escort him. So why not now.

“How cute, but he doesn’t have a say in the matter. Though he is considered a VIP guest being the leader of another nation, he is also a high level threat because he is a leader of another nation. Don’t like it, you may leave. Now, let us be on our way. We have a diplomat to deliver.”

Turning she would proceed to guide Kaito. Dagon would follow close behind her.

He had seen the look that his companion gave him and that was enough to simply smile and wink as he moved passed her and toward the Kage in earnest. He was not necessarily scared of the look, but it did make him wonder why she was so...terse. No matter the case he would continue with his aforementioned actions and when he came back to the side of Ayuna he did not say much. In fact h he had left the situation alone until her vassal came into the scene. He gave a small glance over to the male before he had chuckled and went back to his own musings. Seeing as the delegation was about to be let in he would let Ayuna and her bodyguard take point. Shuffling over to the right side of the Otokage he would glance him over for a moment before smiling," I do hope you like to drink." He would not elaborate any further as to why he had said that he would only hum to himself as they group began to go into the village.
