Sentenced to Survive: The Story of Saturn Sentobi

Ulysies strode towards the arena, arms held neatly behind her back, absentmindedly forming hand seals as she strode towards what was no doubt intended to be her death, a determined look plastered across her face even as she thought back on the events that led her to this horrid situation, branded a criminal and left to rot unless she could kill one of the villages shinobi, the thought alone made her blood boil and her desire for vengeance surge, but she clamped down on it, pushing the feelings down. This was life or death and those feeling would do her little good, despite that she was still a show off at heart, a few words to one of the guards and a few more to the announcer of the fight and they had allowed her to enter in a way that was… just a little unorthodox for these fights. As far as they could tell it wouldn’t affect anything, just make things seem a little more impressive, but she was a crafty individual sometimes and so she had found a way to eak out some small advantage even from such a showy distraction. Stepping out of the northern gate with her chakra suppressed, the guards took their cue, pulling a mechanism that released swarms of colorful butterflies from hidden boxes throughout the arena, even as the announcer began to declare the fight to the onlookers.

“Ladies and gentlemen, prepare yourselves for the long awaited match, the legendary mistress of butterflies, Ulysies Uchiha, versus the disgrace of the cloud Saturn Sentobi! The man said, his voice echoing throughout the sealed chamber, audible even through the tempered glass dome that lay across the top of the arena, allowing the jeers and laughs of the onlookers to echo down into the arena through thin perforated slits. Ulysies gave her opponent a slight bow, an incline of her head whilst she kept her eyes still fixed closely on her opponent’s own, even as the announcer’s voice spoke again “Begin!” the voice said, and rather than take the initiative, rushing into the battle she began to stride forward slowly whistling a tune, that even this shinobi would recognise, as she moved forward at a speed of 20, if nothing changed she would continue until she was 25 meters from the entrance she had walked in from, stopping and pointing her hand at her opponent with an ominous black chakra flowing off of her, her sharingan activating as she continued to look at the man.

Uchiha? As soon as the announcer stated his opponent's name, Saturn was cautious. He had read about the Sharingan in the library in Thunderpeak Campus, and he had seen the three tomoed Dojutsu on Zaled, when the old interdimensional traveler taught him how to Gauge his opponents. The Genin returned his opponent's bow, and as he did, he immediately used his enhancer Senses Beyond before he tilted his axe to form the Seal of Confrontation with Flowing Arts to active Mind's Eye of the Kagura. It was his duty, after all, to be very cautious. His heart was pounding. He had visualized already how he would slash his opponent's throat, no matter who stood in front of him, yet looking at the kunoichi made him feel empathetic with her. After all, they were both in the same predicament. There was no time to waste however, and he would shut out his emotions to immediately make his next move.

After Ulysies had covered a distance of 25 meters from the opposite entrance, a distance of 65 meters remained between the two combatants. He would rush 25 meters forward with his newfound speed of 210, and use Gauge without hand seals to read his opponent's capabilities. Chakra: 150, Speed: 100 Despite her unassuming looks, his opponent was no doubt a trained shinobi. Such numbers, Saturn deduced, meant that she possibly had some weaknesses in her Strength and Vigor. As soon as he had covered 25 meters, now 40 meters between him and Ulysies, he would drop his shoulder and use Bull Rush, to cover the remaining 40 meters at the same speed.

Upon reaching his target, he would swing his Minotaur's Labrys with a power of 120 at a speed of 210, aiming straight for her torso. This weapon, if it cuts her, would damage her and also poison her with the Mercury infused within it.

As soon as Ulysies saw her opponent grip his axe with both hands, tilting it in an odd manner she found herself on guard, the motion looked practiced, as if it was intended to do something and yet she saw no visual evidence of any effect so she immediately changed tact, activating her dojutsu and examining the man's chakra. It was flowing in a way that indicated he was using some sort of technique, though she couldn't be sure exactly what that technique was just yet. All the same it warranted a change of plans. Rather than striding forward and extending her hand out as she had originally been planning to do.

Deciding it best to evaluate what the stranger's capabilities were, as well as what this unknown technique was supposed to do Ulysies flicked her wrist and threw a kunai at her opponent, the sharp weapon glinting in the light of the stadium as it's silvery steel blade reflected the various onlookers, the paper wrapped grip the only part of the weapon that hadn't been carefully polished to a shine. The blade was aimed in such a way as to sail right into the man's heart if he didn't block it, a near lethal blow under the right circumstances. Even as the blade left her hands another one identical to the first appeared in her hands, one that she would throw if the man tried to dodge, aiming for wherever he was poised to end up during said dodge, this would continue with more blades appearing in her hand and being thrown if the man continued to dodge until she ran out of weapons, although she was poised to change tactics once again depending on what the man did.

AP Usage:

But Saturn never gripped his axe with both hands. In fact, he only had one hand - his left - to work with. The other was sitting in the Raikage's personal collection. Thus, Ulysies never found herself on guard, and never changed her tact. She never activated her dojutsu, and her kunai never left her hand. She had also failed to react to his attack. Upon slashing the Uchiha across her torso, Saturn would deal 120 damage. Subtracting her damage reduction from her 10 strength would mean she would suffer 110 damage from the initial cut. The cut from Minotaur's Labrys would inflict her with Mercury poisoning, meaning she would take an additional 40 damage upon being inflicted. Additionally, Senju Wood would steal 50 AP from Ulysies and return it to Saturn.

Immediately after landing this attack, wasting no time, Saturn would spin his axe around in front of him, using Sky Shredding Dragon with it at point blank range. An air current would expand around him at a speed and power of 210 to cover a radius of 10 meters. If Ulysies found herself in this current, she would be dealt physical cutting damage equal to 210.

Combat Info:

Saturn sensed the surge in his opponent's chakra with Chakra Sensory and immediately surged his own with Raijin's Rage to flood his own body with chakra. When Ulysies appeared to turn into a bunch of crows, then appear all around him simultaneously while gardens seemed to spawn randomly, Saturn did not stop his motion as his target was in his range even within the illusion she had painted. He used his axe to summon the air current anyway at a speed and power of 210. His opponent who had come to a stop 15 feet (4.57 meters) from him would be hit with the initial air current which had expanded 10 meters around the Genin at a speed and power of 210, dealing 210 damage and stealing 50 AP once again with Senju Wood. The air current whose power outweighed that of the Devouring Sphere 3 meters behind him would destroy the space/time technique when the two techniques would clash. 

 If Ulysies were finally defeated, Saturn would stare into the abyss to reflect on what his life had come to before reaching into his uniform to take out a military ration pill and then swallow it whole.

Saturn looked at the blood splattered on the ground, and on his uniform. His eyes were widened, but then he began to chuckle. He looked at the blood on his one good hand. No.. this is wrong... I killed her Why... why does this feel so.. gooood?

'Oh, thats odd, everything feels... cold all of a sudden' were the last thoughts the Uchiha had as the blade intent cut into her, severing her head from her body. The Crowd roared their approval as the uchiha's techniques faded away into motes of light, the chakra that had been sustaining them severed at its source, the last act of beauty the fallen shinobi brought to the arena was the glistening dance of light and butterflies that swirled through the air.

Meiski was not like the others in this prison, she had come here willingly; within her clan it was a coming of age trial to fight strong opponents, the stronger the opponents the higher your standing in the clan. As the daughter of one of the clan's elders she had prepared for this for years, and was expected to fight an opponent strong enough to match her bloodline history, and so she had come here, where the strongest of the country's fighters trained themselves, honing their will like a blade sharpened against the bones of the criminals who languished here.

Seeing the uchiha girl fall she eyed the strange man who had felled her so easily, he interested her in a way she could not quite put her finger on, he showed skill and promise, and that intrigued her, perhaps he would even make a suitable mate, though he would have to prove himself more for that privilege. Standing from the spot she was sitting in the stands she dusted herself off, signaling one of the announcers with a gesture they had arranged earlier, expressing her intent.

"Oh my ladies and gentlemen, we have a treat for you tonight, it seemes out contender has caught the eye of the Demon of sorrow, Meiski Ushitora!" the announcer called even as a crack appeared in the dome covering the arena, splitting evenly down the sides to allow her leway do jump through. Landing on the ground of the arena with a thud right where saturn had first entered the arena the girl turned, giving the man a flourishing bow and a smirk. "I trust someone as skilled as you would not object to a more appropriate opponent" she said, assuming a fighting pose as she eyed the man, waiting for a response. Of course if he simply stood there like a fool without responding or doing anything that might give her reason to consider a different choice of actions she would eventually rush forwards at her full speed, throwing a punch with as much force as she could by combining both her raging oni and lightning jab techniques at full power at the last moment.

He simply stood there like a fool, without responding or doing anything that might give her reason to consider a different choice of actions. The bloodlust on his face had not yet vanquished before she made her move at him. "Damn, she's kinda bad." Saturn thought to himself, as her words like a newborn puppy in an upstream river were drowned in the face of her stunning looks. He would not react at all until the very last moment. As her fist came swinging at him at a speed of 130, he simply weaved to completely dodge the punch with a reflex speed of 180. At the same time, as he weaved to dodge with his own movement, he also used Split Second. From point blank range, it would debuff Meiski (-30/30 Strength/Speed) before he swung his axe at her throat with the intent to kill.
