Sunagakure Chūnin Exams - Rain Country

When Kaito pulled out the M.R.Es and handed them out to everyone he would grab his. He'd thank Kaito then listen to him as he explained to Karo that they still had a job to do and Naki understood Karo point of view too they can't just dive into this. Listening further to what Kaito was saying and then the woman made Naki start thinking about how they can approach this. Despite him saying he'll fight a plan is still needed before things get to far out of reach when the large crap line was mentioned Naki would stop eating before looking at his food. He kinda didn't want to continue eating but at the same time he needed to do he would just slowly eat away looking at the woman still. When Kaito took the trash away he would watch his rise to his feet and talk about how he was still planning on going to Amegakure Naki would squint his eyes as he told him he was ready to fight so of course he was going. When he gave the boy the token and went to the door Naki would stand up and gave the kid a fist bump before stepping outside himself. "Now you know I can't let you have all the fun now." He said jokingly as he waits for Karo on if he'll come or not. When Kaito took off so did Naki as he was determined to do what he must. 

When they finally arrived at the pipe before jumping in Naki would take his demon mask and adjust it on his face. This was an amazing purchase as he leapt into the pipe and smelled nothing, luckily. He'd look around and followed Kaito further through the tunnel until they came to the ladder. It didn't take Kaito long to begin his climbing and Naki decided to be right under him. Now when he stopped Naki got curious but he stayed quiet as he focused on listening he could hear one of the ninja bad mouthing an old man. The sound of blows connecting to a body could be heard and of course this was pissing Naki off but they needed a plan before they just went out there. He would open his mouth preparing to say something until Kaito acted brazenly and leapt out giving away some advantage they would have had when Kaito got out of the Naki would pull himself up. Just in time to see this new side of Kaito one he wasn't exactly used to seeing as he watched him singlehandedly take care of the Shinobi. This prompted Naki to move closer to the people as they were thanked profusely though Naki barely did much of anything. The real problem he was currently having was what Kaito did, while yes he did save the people of the village he also could have put them, his team, and himself in danger going out like that. He doesn't know if Karo felt the same way but we feels as if this may come to be an issue later on. When Kaito told the leader about a stop he knew it was the shack. When they get back he would stand in the doorway listening to Kaito explain his eyes to everyone. This just raised another question as for why he didn't use it before but he didn't understand the eyes that much only in a few books he read. When Kaito told everyone to grab him he would as the world shifted around them and before he knew it they were back in from the spire. He would look around before standing straight as he unhooked his sheathe from his armor as he patted Kaito on the head. This 14 year old just gave him a simple pat as if an older brother saying good job to his kid brother before giving his head a gentle but stern wack with the sheathe as well as a look of disappointment before they started to part way. Not often Naki was one to give such a look or be quiet like this.

Karo could only slightly turn his head at the tsk sound that came from Kaito’s own lips. The red head wondering what got his fellow shinobi so riled up in the first place. Was it something that he said? Karo thought it was mostly responsible, but perhaps he had been wrong on that account of the mission. They were meant to scout out for the village. Which meant not to take or do anything that was considered to be rash. But perhaps it was also because of the women and children here. Who could easily be assaulted and killed if left alone for themselves. Kaito’s own explanation made Karo only sigh in response. He couldn’t fight with Kaito now, he didn’t want to fight with a fellow shinobi. But seeing that his plan was simply lambasted as running away had Karo think for a moment. Was he truly running away from this situation? Were they really turning up empty handed as a result of them running away? Why was he so scared of a fight? He shouldn’t be scared of a fight! He’s a goddamn shinobi, someone who fights for his village and doesn’t hesitate to at least help when the time is right.

Unfolding the MRE without much trouble, Karo dived into the bag in order to scarf down the bread and food paste that was given to them. He had to be on a full stomach to fight. That’s the best way he could at least do something when they eventually went towards Amegakure. Handing Kaito the open wrappers of food that they had left as a result of scarfing all of the MRE’s. He only gave Kaito a small smile at the suggestion he’d run back to sunagakure right now.

“The best thing is for all three of us to go on ahead, you two should try and stay safe within the shake, hide yourselves the same way if possible. All three of us should be back before sundown! If someone does come here, transport yourself to the location of Sunagakure’s front gates and explain your situation. Help should arrive by then.”

With that, Karo and Naki as well seemingly followed Kiato towards where the sewer system was. The young shinobi are eager to take out all of these violent brutes as a result of them ransacking the village for their own gains. Karo couldn’t just stand by and watch as the two others went on ahead and did everything. He had to evolve past what his showing was during the exams, something that was saddening given his training before this even happened.

But what he saw during the village made him realize that he’d have to train way harder if he hoped to be on the same level as Kaito. The way he fought was almost monstrous. Like a demon had taken control of him as a result of the old man’s head being beaten into the hard cement floor. Karo could barely make out what was going on with Kaito. His wild movements matched more so that of a violent and rabid wolf then a graceful shinobi. It was a sight that had Karo worried about whether or not Kaito would be consumed by it. But he had faith that Kaito would be able to regain some of his own consciousness in this state. That unique pinwheel design however.

“Never in my life have I seen a sharingan look something like that…. Just what happened to you Kaito?”

Karo spoke mostly to himself, yet was relieved to see that Kaito immediately began to help the old man as Karo checked upon some of the damages around the place. The village itself would be a great place to have some semblance of normalcy for once. That their lives could be way better than it was before thanks to Kaito. More so due to his rather vicious assault on the missing ninja.

Karo held the man up, seeing his ghoulish appearance surprised Karo. His face almost sank into his head from before, yet now he was looking mostly alright. Save for the ragged skin that came due to the age of the old man. It at least helped that he seemed so jovial afterwards. Enough to where they could even make a pit stop where the mother and child were. Karo gives a small thumbs up towards the young boy before handing him something.

“So that way your mom doesn’t get hurt, you should take this just in case. It’s useful for defense and offense, although the best use for it is throwing it at an enemy. Always use it as a last result though, and be safe with it.”

With that, Karo handed the kid one of the Kunai he had brought with him. Smiling before the had vanished from the land of Rain. Arriving back at the wind country right near the spire. Surprised that they could travel this far as a result of the Kamui dimension that Kaito housed.
