Nova Tournament: Tsunayoshi vs Zeo

It was Zeo's next shot. His growth as a shinobi was nothing to sneeze at. He had become accomplished, worked hard, created new techniques or himself and his village. He was a genius, and that was not him being prideful. However, what he was truly growing was his own abilities. His mysterious Kekkei Genkai-- the Uchugan. He gained great power and grew stronger the more he learned about his abilities. He still had more questions. More mysteries he had to follow. But now, he had a new challenge. A new chance to provide for the village-- as a member of the Nova Corp. An elite squad of shinobi revered as heroes and champions of the stars. It sounded perfect for him, IF he could complete and win. He falled short due to the Chunin Exams. He hoped to redeem himself in his own mind with this exam.

He soon was at the arena. But whom he was fighting was not what he expected. He remembered him from the Chunin Exams. A fellow star shinobi who was extremely formidable in weaponry and space-time techniques. It was daunting that he would be facing him. Zachary compared to him, was modest. He had his usual blue kimono shirt, long sleeves-- sword strapped to his back but just that. His bubble pipe was close in hand under his robes. The blue-haired shinobi had the same cool expression on his face, just as his opponent. He also had a unique kekkei Genkai as he did. A doujutsu said to be formidable next to his space-time powers. It would be a test to feel out one another's unique powers and styles. Sharp as Zeo was, he knew it was a question of strategy, like everything was at times. Too many proud shinobi would charge in without a plan. That never worked. But he was otherwise an unknown. And research only went so far.

He soon entered the arena himself and stopped 10 meters away from his opponent, on the other side of the circular lake. He looked at him, curious to know what kind of abilities he had and his own strategy. All he knew, was he was a renowned champion to Hoshigakure. Zeo would be tested unlike anything he ever experienced, even far morre than Inishi.

He was in silence, unsure what to even say to him. However he raised his fingers in the sign of respect to the opponent, showing his resolve as a shinobi but also his respect to his opponent. "So you're Tsunayosh. It's nice to meet you. I'm Zeo Kamigawa. I honestly dreaded to fight you in the Chunin Exams... now looks like I have no choice here. Either way, I hope we can have a honorable fight, as far as shinobi go," he said, extending his respect to the senior shinobi.

He would wait-- awaiting the moment the protor overseeing the fight would start. He would be ready to respond at a second's notice, as he was sure his opponent was.

Kamigawa Zeo, belatedly made his presence known. From abaft the shroud provided by his helmet, concealing the eyes of the Hoshimura, Tsuna looked in Zeo’s general direction. Without bothering to establish eye contact because his opponent wouldn’t even notice it happening. Instead, he looked to his body, limbs for any hints of brief movements. Zeo was not to be underestimated. 

The Kamigawa presented his offering of respect to the Hoshimura. At which, Tsuna nods in connection with. Zeo faced Enishi in the Chunin Exams, it was a spectacle of a match, left the crowd in awe - both Enishi and Zeo were warriors that Tsuna desired to cross might with. At last, he was gifted the opportunity to do just that, before a roaring crowd no less. “I am familiar with your honor, Kamigawa Zeo. But I do not share your dread in facing you, in fact, I thirst for it. You presented yourself quite admirably in your match against Enishi. I commend you such a display. But I am not Sir Enishi.” 

With 10 meters dividing them, a nebula-like chakra squandered from his body, resembling a cluster of stars in a sea of space. The chakra took the shape of many eyes, Kenseigans that peered out towards the Kamigawa. The Crowd would bare witness to this as well, feeling a sense of unease, but they did not feel fear. Even the Shinobi that spectated would understand what this was. These chakra-like eyes would take various sizes as they coat the body of the Hoshimura. “I only have one snippet of advice for you. Out of respect, I will give it to you…” Above them all, 20 meters up a massive eye with limitless more eyes within it would manifest gazing down at the Kamigawa, at all of them. You are not facing just one Hoshimura, you are facing all of them.” The last six words gradually grew in tone and cadence along with a number of multiple voice like that of a legion. 

The Hoshimura would display the power difference between him and his opponent. And in turn successfully making it known that he would not be the one to make the first move, but it would be up to the Kamigawa to do so. And Tsuna would be ready to respond, no matter what Zeo does.

Zeo stood there and met with the armor clad warrior. He was just as intimidating than Zeo imagined by his appearance. However, it was clear with his armor and helm, he was not taking any chances. As he talked, Zeo was able to gather that much as he glared at his opponent. He certainly isn't taking chances. That armor. Counter-Genjutsu tactics. No doubt he learned from my fight and blabber-mouth Enishi decided to share how I used Genjutsu. He won't risk looking me in the eye easily... he thought to himself as he sized him up. It was a relief to hear that he wanted t o fight Zeo. "That's very kind of you. I'll try not to disappoint."

As he talked, Zeo noticed th e starry chakra-- not unlike his own. No-- it was not like his own, but an aura of cosmic power much like he had in appearance. The 'veiled' warning was indeed noticeable as Zeo regarded his opponent and a difference in their experience and powers. The aura expanded, revealing a starry night sky, and several eyes opening to gaze down upon him in judgment.


Zeo's body trembled for a moment, but he gripped his fists and returned his gaze to the aura of power surrounding his opponent. Zeo knew this wouldn't be easy, if at all possible. There was a good chance he would lose. But he kept his nerve and faced the threat head-on. The eerie voices too was enough to freak him out a bit. The sheer difference was clear. Tsuna could easily destroy him. However... Zeo had no intention to back down and surrender. It was not in him. "A strong statement. Now let me return the favor," Zeo said, closing his eyes calmly for a brief moment as he relaxed, allowing the fear from the aura of power to waft over him. "It doesn't matter what powers you have, or how strong the difference is between us. No matter how you try to hide and vamp your powers with those eyes above... " He then opened his eyes-- now revealing the starry darkness of the night sky now eclipsed in his own eyes, revealing all to him. "...I will always see the truth-- with these eyes!"

In that instance, Zeo's vision changed to him, turning the entire arena into a new viewpoint. The chakra he saw was not simple stars and galaxies as his enemy displayed, but it showed him. Him and the strong chakra that radiated off him-- a brilliant, golden, shining hue like looking at a shower of golden sparks and lights. Brilliant, beautiful, strong, prideful, and unwavering. Zeo could tell who he was looking at by seeing and interpreting his aura, and the chakra connected to it. It was no doubt strong, but his vision could see past the 'intimidation' to the core of his opponent's heart and soul. His armor wouldn't help him with that.

Whether it would ever be vulnerable to his skills, however, remained to be seen. He only could wait for the first move, and the match to start. He would respond the moment he had to, but he wasn't going to let himself lose to him.

How could Zeo be so naive? In that moment, right when he thought they would be given right notice-- he struck! Chakra flared, and disappeared. His Uchugan couldn't keep up then and there-- to soon find out his folly as he was baffled by what he saw. He had to act. Though the existence of his chakra was gone-- it didn't hide his Spiritual Energy. His soul. Zeo could still feel it. The slightest flicker of it-- directly above him. That simple hint was all he needed and he acted.

Zeo gave one single hand sign-- and took the gamble by running directly forward ahead.

His body vanished in a blur of movement -- forward. Body flicker sent him flying across the arena. The movement left a splash across the single pond and Zeo reached the edge of the arena-- in the safe space where the gravity-altering chakra wasn't present. He came to a stop, a meter away from the wall of the arena to stop in time, to be sure he didn't make the same mistake he did last time. If he could stick the landing -- he would have gotten out of there just in time as the gravity-defying jutsu hit.

Zeo spun around, realizing the danger he had seen and realized he was in trouble. The fight was on and he was already on the defense. Using his free hands, he wove jutsu at the same time, trying to find his opponent. Luckily he could see it faintly, the hint of his opponent's soul. He couldn't afford to hold back. He had to treat this like a life or death battle now-- cause his opponent was playing for keeps! Thankfully with his one-handed skill, he began casting two jutsu at the same time the moment he successfully stopped.

In that instant, he cast his next jutsu-- and a thick mist began to swell up around him and cast outward. He vanished into the mist, fading from view to give him some cover and allow him to act freely without being seen. A flimsy defense, but Zeo needed it-- seconds if anything to counter his foe.

Inside the mist, the other jutsu took form and he raised his bubble pipe. From inside the mist, he blew out a number of bubbles. The bubbles filled the mist, allowing him another method of defense and offense, should Tsuna decide to invade the territory... but there was more to it than what met the eye.

Either way with Tsuna practically invisible, he had no real way to attack or defend against him. But from inside the mist--- it was another story. He could sneak in, and risk it at his own peril...

He then formed other signs, and finished creating from the very mist-- a series of water clones, which began to move ahead into the mist to spread out and be ready should an attack take place.

There was no time for strategy now, as Zeo had to go on the defense, but he didn't completely leave it to fear. He believed he could recover from this and fought to make it so...

Stats and Actions:

It was…odd. Zeo seemed to have just stood there, perhaps attempting to track the Hoshimura in his translucent state. Apparently waiting there until he could pinpoint the Hoshimura. Tsuna’s prior actions to move from his position was done after his Jutsu were simultaneously launched and activated. Meaning amor clad shinobi waited for his Jutsu to expand, then rise from his position 15 meters up and then crossed 10 meters to hover over the Kamigawa; all which would mean his tech would have expanded far enough to ensnare the boy. It would seem that he would figure that out at the last second after already being caught by the density of Singularity, paralyzing and crushing him to the ground where he once stood. Suffering from the intense force of the Jutsu. 

Tsunayoshi, 15 meters above him, looking down with his seals in hands. He did not desire to give away his position, but something told him that the Kamigawa had a means to locate him. It was quite impressive, he would think. Releasing both Jutsu simultaneously, spawning 3.1 meters in front of the Kamigawa a 30 cm sphere would manifest and overflow with chakra, expelling raw radiation chakra from its location outwards at a  speed of 122 and a power equal to that. This Jutsu resembled that of a white hole as it was destroying the very area up to 20 meters radius. 

As that sphere manifested, a total number of 10 blades manifests 5 meters around the paralyzed and gravitational trapped Zeo in a scattered formation, avoiding the white hole and singularity as they formed. The former at a speed of 127, a dark purple chakra flaring from them as they did. They held a power and heath equal to their speed. With a mental command, one of the blades was ordered to fire and impale the left thigh of Zeo, avoiding the main artery to avoid death from bleeding out. It would create a small crater in the earth’s surface from its impact.

Tsuna formed another set of hand seals individually as he remained unseen, hovering 15 meters over the paralyzed Zeo. He would wait for Zeo to understand his situation and forfeit. If not, he would send all remaining blades to impale him. He need not speak what he wanted, it was clear as the situation grew more dire. It should go without saying that his techniques did not obstruct or clash with one another due to being made of his chakra, the blades being stronger than the white hole and the singularity not capable of clashing with other Jutsu.

OOC: As explained in my post, due to Zeo basically noticing Tsuna over him and not before. By the time that he noticed Tsuna he would have been caught by the effects of Singularity. Claiming the hit and hold on Zeo. Subtracting 50 from his 310 health. 300 health. 10 DR reducing it to 260. 

Pending hits for this post are 122+127=249 which will reduce his health to 11

How did things get this bad? He was about to sneak into one of his bubbles using Hiding In Bubbles, anticipating for him to sneak into the mist while camoflagued.... but that all shot to hell when he soon blasted the entire area with a celestial explosion! The blast blew everything away--- mist, bubbles, clones and him.

Zeo was thrown against the back of the arena wall, seared by the radiation burns despite his resillance and defenses. He shouted through the blast, unable to hold it back. He was down, and his strategies stopped before he could even set it up. He was pathetic and his confidence shot. He could only look up in shock to see the shadow of the enemy, looking down expecting. He was giving him the chance to surrender.

Zeo bit his lip, upset that he had to do this. He never gave up. He never was willing to stop without giving his full effort but this man was FAR beyond him. If this was the calibur of Nova corp had to expect... Zeo was a far cry from ready. What was he even thinking trying to this? Blood fell from his lip from his own self inflicted wound of shame...

"I...." he hesitated, but soon a voice called out to him to do it. To let it go. His life was not worth his pride. A strong voice that insisted he had to do it. "I... I surrender!! I yield-I yield!" Zeo cried out, covered in wounds.

The weight fell off him from shame but he soon fell to his hands and knees with shame and humiliation. He was completely outclassed. He knew this person was beyond him and he walked right into it due to his own naivity... He felt broken....

OC: Defeated. I freaking hate this but that is hwo it it. RIP.
