Night Missions suck Empty Night Missions suck

Mon Jun 13, 2022 1:08 am
E-rank mission:
Cho sighed. She had just gotten up. She slept during the day in order to be ready for the night mission. Having to do a night shift mission sucked. At least she wouldn’t be bothered by people. She made her way to the shower. She wanted to relax a bit before she was stuck in the bank by herself. She took her time in the shower, making sure that the heat relaxed her muscles the best it could. She left the shower and began grabbing her clothes. She got changed into her ninja outfit and made sure that her cloak was open. Now dressed in a black shirt with fishnet sleeves and a pair of black shorts, she checked her uniform. She wanted to make sure she got the full amount of the reward for the mission. She then walked over to the mirror and made sure that her hair looked nice. She was satisfied and made her way to the closet where she grabbed her ninja pouch. She was not going to get screwed over due to her looks, nor would she get screwed over because some brigand decided to rob the bank the night that she was working.

She locked up her house and did a sweep through the garden. Thankfully, nothing seemed out of place and the flowers were growing well. She had assembled a good variety of flowers and wanted to make sure they were growing well. She made sure that she had a good variety of colors and designs in her garden. Plants of all types were allowed in her garden, from the smallest flower, to the most deadly poisonous plant. She wanted to have every type of plant in her garden. She also had quite a few fruit bushes and vegetable plants. She did her research to make sure that the plants had the appropriate soil. She wanted to make sure they had every opportunity to grow. She moved to the front of her house and looked around. She sighed and began stretching. There was nothing more that she could do here. Time to go on her first mission. She needed to start getting money for better equipment and furniture. She looked up at the moon and smiled. Once she got far enough, the people would suffer for their crimes. She would get high enough in the ranks to get permission to begin executing civilians for their crimes.

She began walking towards her mission. It was going to be a quick one. There would not be much to do at a bank at night. Most of the jobs would probably have been done during the day. She slowly made her way down the street. She saw the people around her giving her looks. She didn’t care. They would suffer soon enough. The people of this village were accursed and deserved to be executed in the most painful way possible. She will probably get assigned to a team soon enough. They would probably be afraid of her too. Those idiots in the academy where stupid and were probably just as bad as the villagers that she was passing.

She shook her head and finally got to the bank. The manager was waiting out front to hand her the key for the night. “Hello, my name is Cho Gekidoku. I am here for the mission.” Her somber and peaceful tone hiding her hatred towards the civilians that were in the area. She looked towards the manager that was getting a look over her. She didn’t want to show her animosity towards the civilians. She was certain that the manager would treat her differently if he had known her hatred toward most of the village. The people who deserted her when she needed them. They will suffer. They will be tortured for what they did to her.

He wanted to make sure that he was handing the keys over to the right person and not to some trouble maker. He did not want to have to deal with a robbery or mess when he got in the next morning. “Hello. Here is the key to the bank. You will have a few tasks to do. You will need to tidy up here and there. Anywhere that the day crew may have missed. You will need to run a perimeter sweep in about an hour. And finally, you will need to make sure that everything is locked up. I am certain I got everything, but it is always good to have a second check. Your relief will come in about four hours. His name is Akashi. He needed to take care of something family related but he will be here.” The manager finished as he handed her the key. “Do you get everything?”

She nodded as she accepted the key. “I understand. I will complete it efficiently.” She said as she walked into the bank. Locking the door behind her, she watched the manager walk away. “I guess I should begin.” She walked over to the offices and began checking them. She would check each door knob to see if the office was locked. She got through three offices before she found one unlocked. She sighed as she opened it up. She checked the office and organized some paperwork. She was happy that it was quiet. She locked the office as she left and began to check the teller’s stations to make sure everything was locked. When she was satisfied, she continued towards the back to make sure the lower areas were locked up.

She made her way downstairs and began checking doors. She didn’t find any unlocked doors but she did find the maintenance cart. She grabbed the broom and began sweeping the lower areas. The more that she got done, the better she would be. She continued sweeping the area as she kept her eye out for everything. She did not want to deal with an incident while she was working on this mission. The less of a problem this mission was, the better the chance she got to go on stronger missions in the future. While she didn’t want to be obsessed on getting stronger, she needed that to be her goal if she wanted the crimes that the villages committed brought to light.

She finished cleaning up the downstairs area and began to make her way upstairs. It was time for her perimeter sweep. While it was probably going to be uneventful, it needed to be done either way. Then she would probably have two and a half hours to continue cleaning and think of some plans that she had.
She began to look around and investigate the offices. She wanted to make sure that every nook and cranny was searched. If she missed something, she would be pissed. She looked at the first office and unlocked it. She began to search it from top to bottom, making sure that she didn’t miss any bugs or issues. She even made sure to check under the desk to be thorough. She left the office and locked the door behind her. She then began to move to the next office. She wanted to make sure that she did the same to every office. She made her way through each and every office on the first floor.

When she finally got past the first floor, she made her way upstairs. There were two conference rooms up here, as well as an office for the branch manager. There was also access to the roof. She began the upstairs sweep by checking the conference room on the left. She made her way into the conference room and began looking for any suspicious activity. The table in this room was open underneath. This allowed her to check quickly for suspicious individuals. Satisfied, she moved to the next room. This conference room had a table that blocked line of sight. She began checking the first part of the underside of the table. She didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary, but she was relieved about it. She checked the next section and quickly moved. She kept checking each of the sides to make sure nothing was up. When she was satisfied, she moved on to the last office. She unlocked the office and began to check through it. She made sure that nobody was hidden under the desk. She also cleaned up the office while she was in the office. The papers were every where and she made sure they were put in a neat pile.

Once she was done cleaning the office, she made sure to head towards the roof. The roof was going to be a fun place to check. There were quite a few structures on top that could be hidden behind. The stairs up to the door were not lit. She made her way cautiously to the roof. She unlocked the door and slowly made her way onto the roof. As she locked the door behind her, she listened for any noises behind her. She thankfully didn’t hear anything and turned around to look over the roof. She didn’t see anyone and there were no animals hiding. She ended up going back through the door and locking it behind her.
She made her way downstairs. On the first floor, she realized she still have another two hours to go. She made her way to the maintenance cart and grabbed the broom. She began to sweep up the first floor as she began to think over the flowers in her garden. She had done her research when finding plants to add to her garden. She was going to make poisons with them. With her knowledge of medicine and her ability to get plants from the one seller in town that was able to procure any type of plant for her, she was going to make sure that she had whatever she needed to make the poisons she wanted for use in missions. Obviously, they wouldn’t be used in the village without permission. However, any one outside the village was open game. The bandits would know terror from her poisons. She did have some fancy names in mind. Lilac Haze, Shinobi’s Wet Dream, Sunflower Field. They would make people think of perfume. Maybe she would get lucky, and she could trick a few villagers into purchasing the poisons as a perfume. Watch a couple people come down with a couple issues due to the poisons. She would get a chuckle out of that.

She had cleaned up a few more offices before she realized the time. It was just about time for her mission to end. She put the broom away and made her way to the front of the business. She noticed that someone was out front, waiting for her to open the door. She unlocked the door and stepped outside. “State your name.” She glared daggers at the man.

He hesitated before he answered. “My name is Daichi. I’m your relief.” He stuck his hand out for her to hand him the key.

She sighed, reaching into her equipment pouch even though she had no weapons. “Leave, or I will make you suffer a fate worse than death.” Her glare seemed to penetrate his soul. Her glare finally gave him the chills as he ran away. She didn’t have time to deal with this insanity. She was about to walk back inside when another person began to walk up to her.

While he looked like he was questioning the sanity of the guy running away, he smiled briefly and introduced himself. “Hey, I’m Akashi. I believe you were the person covering for me.” He said as he looked back to the guy that ran away.

Cho sighed and handed him the keys. “Hello. I was able to get some cleaning done, check to make sure things were locked, and do a perimeter sweep. That idiot was trying to get the keys from me.” He grabbed the keys and made his way inside. She sighed. She didn’t want to have to deal with this anymore. She was going home. She waved to guy and walked off to her house.
