Each repetition of handseals he did was driving him absolutely insane. Shigeru could handle repetition, but going for hours without a break was bound to rest even his patience and his limits. He really wanted to practice more jutsu, but it was getting to the point where he was finding his concentration was escaping him. Handsigns were easy enough to repeat, but just boring enough that he wasn’t fully concentrated, and he knew as well as anybody how dangerous that could be. Jutsu could blow up in one’s face quite easily, and he didn’t feel like finding out just what kind of damage spacetime jutsu could cause when performed incorrectly. Blowing up a training field didn’t excite him one bit.

Slumping to the ground and throwing down his hat next to him, the teenager groaned in frustration. Nothing here made sense, hadn’t in a while, but he only felt more confused with each passing day. He wondered how many of the other villagers felt like they were slowly going insane? He surely couldn’t be the only one who felt as though Konoha was the weirdest and most painful kind of fever dream right now. Though it wasn’t as if life hadn’t been surreal for years, now. Nothing had been normal since the invasion.

Things weren’t as bad as they had been, but his home village was still a living hell of sorts, and every day he found new reasons to hate their oppressors. He wasn’t stupid enough to believe Konoha was ready to fight back, but it still frustrates him to no end. He needed to get stronger, he’d made a promise to her a long time ago. He’d become a strong shinobi for her and only her. He was finding it harder and harder to keep himself motivated to do so, though. Closing his eyes, he leaned back against the wall he was slumped near, and tried to calm his own breathing.

The morning horizon basked in the sun's seemingly everlasting glory today in Konoha. It was a large, perhaps jarring contrast to some due to the previous days - even weeks of constant gloominess. A wise elder once remarked that the clouds and horizons took in the general public's emotions; for example, when the common people felt a surge of, the sun was revealed among the clouds. It was vise versa if the common people felt an abundance of negative emotions that day, creating a gloomy atmosphere devoid of any sort of jubilation. No one knew why such a phenomenon existed, and self-proclaimed intellectuals would attest to such a claim routed in just simple observation. However, most people were simply happy that today bore the light of the sun - resonating deep within the inhabitants of Konohagakure no Sato. Perhaps today was a prelude to what was about to come of Konoha; possibly, this day would be the turning point of years of subjugation and humiliation. Nevertheless, time was an irreversible thing - most people did not delve deep into the intricacies of why the sun appeared at this certain date.

Usually, Kaguya Yuki would be at her family's Tea Shop during days such as these - helping her mother and father deal with the influx of customers due to today being such a great date to simply sit down, drink tea, and enjoy the weather. However, today seemed to be a relatively slow day - allowing the Yuki maiden a generous amount of time to perform some long-awaited...training. After performing a streak of menial missions which concluded in having to catch some miscreants who were trying to sabotage a talent show hosted by the Shinobi Academy, the brunette decided that it was time she actually started to enhance her skills as a shinobi for missions that would require her to possibly use skills instead of brains...she hoped that such a time wouldn't arrive. But, for the meanwhile - Kaguya decided to stop at the Advanced Training Facility to get a few exercises in. Her true talent lied in her ability to sense chakra and manipulate the flow of sensing chakra, however, her bloodline - prioritized in Ninjutsu.

As she arrived at the Advanced Training Facility, it was...astonishingly empty. Nah like...imagine that a restaurant was ADVERTISED to be this bustling place of commotion, but when you arrive, it's like an abandoned shelter. The area was completely empty, spare for a single boy who was slumped near a wall...in the middle of the training facility? Was he passed out due to exertion? Did he collapse? Or was he just sleeping in the middle of the area...if so, that was an extremely odd area to say "lol lemme just relax here." Nevertheless, Kaguya was slightly worried; judging by his height, he looked to be about an Academy Student, and unbeknownst of his actual ranking and age, Kaguya felt slightly responsible to look after him before she started training. Walking up to the youthful-looking boy, she'd stop just shy of three or so meters from him before gently calling out,

"...You good bro?"
