Training with a stranger (P, NK)

There were two responses to this masterful counter. By virtue of their difference, the pair somehow seemed to have both. Saya's eyes grew wide as he released his technique. How had he even summoned snakes without hand seals?! What to do what to do. It was clear her puppet was forfeit and she would have to go the rest of her life forgetting that it had ever existed. He was dead to her, and she was mad, but it was his fault. SHe would need to ensure the same hadn't happened to her.

Pinochio however hadn't really expected him to take the attacks lying down. The moment his palm pointed towards him, a plan formed. This would be one of two things: a spreading technique meant to target a wide area, or a targeted attack where his palm aimed. When the snakes began to fly towards him, stretching out in a cone that aimed to disable his motion, he knew what to do. his wooden feet slid for barelly a moment before he upended himself, diving through the opening made by their specific targeting. With his entire body now in the only space the snakes were not careening towards, and the snakes lack of wings, he'd easily slip through the space. As his palms hit the ground he Brought himself upright.... sort of. Pinochio had a gift. With now flesh body, he had no need for equalibrium. That means his hands holding his weight up while he prepared to awkwardly strike with his feet didn't affect him as it would an untrained fighter. While I would call this technique "demon style" by virtue of it's creation, it would be amiss to attribute a signature style from another time to this young duo. All I can do is gaze longingly out at the horizon in memory....

"Whot." Saya was as confused as pinochio, which was impressive as her harms had shifted and pulled back to facilitate the maneuver. Still, they were still in this. She moved forward. If she wanted to beat her opponent, she would need to use everything in her arsenal... What was in her arsenal again? She'd figure it out.

Now inverted the puppet would spin on his hands elbows dropping his elevation to send a sharpened kick in a downward arc at the same eighty two speed. This would allow him to right himself in a position where he could continue the onslaught, hoping his ability to dodge the snake technique had put him on the front foot.

Shit. For a split moment she was back to erasing the existence of her dear friend. There was simply no way to--wait a minute. The chakra strings went taunt as the snake came towards Pinochio and then he was sent like a rag doll to the left swinging like a chain weapon to bounce once off the ground. Her eyes kept watch on the snakes to ensure this wasn't a two pronged attack, but Pinochio's ability to not be real had saved him from incapacitation... for now. Well widdled fingertips gripped the ground beneath them to stop his momentum. He'd gained a bit of distance with the jump but lost it when Saya was forced to move him from the way unnaturally. More blue threads snaked out to link to the puppet to allow her better control through the use of an entire hand. Then she realized. That meant she had an open hand.

Pushing off from the ground he got back to his feet, changing the angle of his attack slightly, even as saya moved towards her opponent. Awkwardly she formed the seals needed to give her puppet some support. While she tried to concentrate on simply forming them with her free hand she did need to join them together at moments, the dragon and boar seal proving too much for her at current.

Pinochio rotated. It was his intention to leave their opponents field of view. While he was still closing the distance he did so with a much greater rate of momentum towards Travin's side then strait forward, and in moments he seek to find himself in position to attack at the back corner of his calf. Thats when the earth began to shake. Bird. Dragon. Monkey. Boar. Ram. She formed the seals clumsily as her puppet continued to try to hold focus. Unless impeeded he'd send a crescent kick at Travin that would burry the sharpened heel of his foot into the back side of his calf, allowing him to bend the man's knee and use it as a springboard. He'd kep about a meter distance until now, closing from a position just over his shoulder to give him time to react, and Saya timed the technique to fly as Pinoch struck with taijutsu. She clapped her hands to the ground and the earth splintered before her, forming fifteen spears. Five flowed across the ground towards her opponent in a tight arc that spanned about meter, leaving little room between the 50cm wide spears. They moved at a speed of 87, set off center so that the left most spear surged towards his center mass with intent to slice through their opponent if he allowed them.

It was sheer blind luck that protected our dear protagonist from the unknown threat. She was starting to actually focus now and it was evident in the way her eyes tracked the movement of Pinochio. These snakes, however were going to be a problem. WIth pinochio unable to get close, they had to find alternate ways of making him useful. He shifted backwards as the snakes came to challenge him, and then shifted at an angle again. His goal was simple. He needed to kite the snakes to be in line with their opponent so that he and Saya could push him into a pinsir. And so he rotated to line up with Saya's placement unless stopped, putting Travin between himself and the puppetmaster, her chakra threads sliding harmlessly through anything in their path. Now it was saya's turn.

She focused her chakra and called forth one of the first techniques she'd created. Hare. Monkey. Ram. Dog. Boar. From her lips a great gout of water poured expanding quickly to fill a space twenty five meters in every direction. The wave moved at a speed of eighty seven that shot her upward into the air. Turning the flow of water she shifted to her right. She didn't advance towards her opponent, but with this movement she'd try to place Travin between herself and her puppet before the snakes could intervene. The cracked earth spears protecting her buckled under the 87 power of the jutsu, crumbling to nothingness to be swept away in the waves.

Travin was starting to get annoyed and not wanting to hurt the girl he also couldn’t let her win this fight either. Plus that puppet was really starting to get on his nerves which only got more on his nerves by thinking about it. He hated how this girl had managed not once but several times to convince him this dam puppet was real. It was time to end this. 


Travin ran with the rock spears to the end and stepped off of them placing him at the 5-meter mark away from the girl now. Well within his kill range, as he stepped off of the end of the rock spear Travin had already been making hand signs with his left hand back to be hidden within his kimono. Rat, Dog, Dragon, and portals opened up within the sleeves of his kimono but nothing happened at the point. Standing directly in front of the girl as she watched Travins movement preparing to fire more of the rock spears from Travins perspective. He activated his genjutsu Binding with a power of 90. The Girl should be Frozen for a few seconds which would be all that he needed, and to make sure that the genjutus had taken effect Travin would attempt to move one of his own fingers. If was able then the jutsu worked if not he would be forced to try something else. 

If the Genjutsu worked Travins next move would be simple with the girl frozen she wouldn’t be able to move her puppet and it should fall to the ground. Then Travins new snakes would slide out from Travins left sleeve and move over to bit the Girl on her arm. The venom would only take a second to kick in and she would be paralyzed if everything went according to plan.

Heck. He was advancing on her. In a panic she allowed her ace in the hole to protect her, Raw mokuton chakra flowing through the secondary chakra point in her back to spring into life. The already split earth erupted with six large wooden totems the moment his own touched down against the stone jutsu creating a wall 12 meters thick between herself and her opponent. She dropped to the ground, allowing her body to more quickly shield itself behind the Foo Dog heads, and when his foot left her stone jutsu, allowing him to stop movement and capture her in his genjutsu, there was no girl to be seen. The dog heads curved downward, taking advantage of the five meters between herself and her target. Half of their total length was used to shield Saya's hunched form from danger as the other half shot off towards her opponent, but it wasn't exactly the dog heads he needed to worry about. While the sea of dog head mokuton flowed like a wave at a speed of 92 towards him, jaws open bare down across his chest and arms, the puppet dropped.

For some reason she'd lost control of Pinochio. The chakra strings flowed back towards her, leaving the small puppet and then her plan became clear. As stated before, Pinochio, whose movement remained unimpeeded as he shifted his full focus to the girl, completed his task of putting Travin between them, and then was simply released. The chakra strings that were harmlessly inside of his body pulled back at a speed of 82, easily crossing the short distance kept between the two combatants and then latched onto Travin's body. The three extra strings she'd added earlier proved his fatal mistake as they stole his own movement with a power of 85 that would only grant him movement if his strength were great enough to break the bond. The moment she felt the strings snap taunt her arms shifted, compelling his body to kneel in defeat, though her head never peek around the curved barrier of the foo dog statues that had risen directly in front of her.

The snakes on Travins arm vanished in a puff of smoke as their duration ended. Running along the tops of the rock spears Travin watched as the girl pulled the rest of the spears up to create a wall separating the two. He didn’t know what she was planning but everything in the fiber of his being said that he would not like whatever she had planned for him next. So he quickly took a deep breath activating his Seigan upwelling followed by a simple hand sign with his right-hand Snake. With the girl unable to see what he was doing his water Replacement jutsu created a short-lived clone of him made from the water just a second before the end of the rock spears. With his new speed of 135, Travin made a quick right turn off the side of the rock spears while his water clone landed on the ground. Travin was able to clear the distance looking back to see his clone being slammed into by 6 massive foo dogs made of wood. Well shit, he thought to himself as he noticed that the distance between them was now a solid 12 meters. She was outside of his kill range with his current jutsu. 


Travin made another hand seal Dragon and water molecules would start to move out of his body at a speed of 130. The water molecules are invisible to the knacked eye and filled a 30-meter area around Travin quickly. If the girl Saya was unable to escape the range of the genjutsu a thick mist would appear over her eyes blocking site almost completely to the point that she would be unable to see the end of her own nose. While Travin stood still to the girls left for a few seconds Watching the jutsu take hold “You know these eyes of mine allow me to see the future right and manipulate space at my will” his voice would appear to come from her right the opposite side that Travin was actually on, and a shadow would appear in her vision to the right.  

He stood in the shadow of the nearby building waiting to see what the girl would do he knew that he didn’t have a lot of time as he could only maintain this level of power for a short burst of time. He would have to end this quickly now, as he didn’t know what those wooden foo dogs could do, but he did know that he did not want to get hit by them. Until the girl reacted Travin would hold still not making a sound but focusing on every single movement the girl made in preparation for the attack to come.

The water replacement was a problem that she wasn't sure how to answer. Mostly because she hadn't actually seen it. Behind her foo dogs she was sure that he was doing something, but she wasn't sure what, and then she felt a subtle shift in her fingers. The puppet fell to the ground as she pulled back. In his decision to dodge her attack he'd let down her guard and ran directly into the blue strings that held pinochio. The moment she felt them touch his body she clenched her fist and the five strings gripped his body. The tips shifted across his form even as they held him tightly in her grasp with a power of eighty seven the strings would shift to more adventageous positions, curling around his arms and legs to make the single seal needed to cast his genjutsu an impossibility. The noses of the dog heads shifted at their nose at a speed of ninety two, turning on a dime to rush towards their opponent. His her strings connected she knew where he was, and could fully confirm the end of the fight. Pulling her arms in she'd draw her new puppet to kneel on the ground, assuming everything went as planned, stopping the foo dogs just before their sharp teeth bit into his skin. She'd scrambled to the other side of the wall of wood that protected her, ensuring it stayed between the two at any time, and squeaked a soft question into the air.

"DId... Did I do it? " His replacement had been the nail in the coffin, the movement to dodge her mokuton putting her directly into a spiderweb of her chakra manipulation.
