The First Storm [Village Destruction] - Page 5 Empty Re: The First Storm [Village Destruction]

As the Nazar stood, a kunai had been thrown towards his general direction by the Mizukage. Based on the path it was taking, it was heading towards the smaller Jounin beside Kinzoku. Unsure of why the Mizukage was aiming for his fellow Jounin, Kinzoku was prepared to block the oncoming kunai. But Risako acted quick enough to deflect it with her own kunai. Looking down at Yen, Kinzoku realized why he was the target of the Mizukage. He had been slowly forming hand seals as he spoke to the Kage, but it seemed the Kage wasn't having any of it. Whether the actions of Yen had set off the battle earlier than intended did not matter. The battle was going to happen one way or another. What mattered now was could the Fire outlast the Storm?

The First Storm [Village Destruction] - Page 5 Empty Re: The First Storm [Village Destruction]

Yen completed his series of motions, and spewed his usual speech as if nothing had happend. To him his work was simple and to the point. The kunai being too fast for his normal perception, and being deflected on top of that. Yen would not have occured to him at all. So it would show some huge level of disrespect that he never even noticed it... nor cared. At least what was said was said.

Noting the innocents around him upon a simple mental command yen stopped procucing the serum internally as he needed to conserve his chakra for other usages. (Cancels chakra destructive serum 5 post cooldown)

The crunching of a large object could be heard in the distance. So yen began to weave several other handsigns (ox, ram dragon,) and under the dark grey aura roared to life a second aura as yen was determined to outlast the  invasion. His body acted simply and began to harden as his grey aura was merely an protection. Now sheilded by the seemingly duo defense he needed to assure survival. Subconciously he was aware of the power it would cost. But he needed to end it.

(Body and soul: +40 chakra, +40 health: aura health:85, aura power:110, aura speed:85 (+35 chakra scaling, +25 to aura power from blue tie.)

The lighter aura would rest under yens dark grey aura. Making it look like two shades of grey were sorrounding the aburame. As it would simply act like a layer towards touching yen. As the cost was not as high as his more specificly powerful defense. They both functioned the same. Except the stronger aura being the dark grey one, was sharp and could expand.  The power of yens yang art yang aura would be amplified respectfully to reflect its new power boost.

(Yang art yang aura stats: 165 health, 165 speed, 190 power ( chakra stat which is now 165 thanks to body and soul +40 chakra, and the chakra charm +25 chakra.  Power of the aura is 190 due to the chakra stat, and the +25 from blue tie)

With this done. Yen now slowly walked towards the weaker chakra section not paying the mizukage much more mind. At least perhaps the lesser shinobi from the mist would have a conciousness. But looking up to the large wooden figure beginning to move. Yen doubted that. A bored sigh would escape yens lips as he would begin moving out towards the large thing.

Any war that had ever happened up until now had started with a single action. In this case, in this war, that action would just so happen to be the release of a single kunai towards a miniature man, who unfortunately was not a slick as he thought he was. With war imminent, anything was possible, even the boy’s own death, however, Ita had different plans before that could happen.

Ita would perform the Ram hand seal and his body would disappear from the crowd of Konoha shinobi around him. (235 speed) Reappearing once again 235 meters backwards from where he once stood within the gates of the village. Ita was standing at the dead center of a 300 meter in diameter opening within the village. With no time to waste and Ita focused on what was ahead of him in the distance, Ita would bite his right thumb and form the seal of confrontation. In a cloud of smoke, a girl would appear, most likely an angry one at that. “There is no time to explain, the Leaf is being invaded by a foreign nation and they are at our door steps and war is imminent. If I survive, I will find you. Now get out of here before it’s too late.” Ita would take one final look at the girl, while remaining to look past her towards the army and his allies through the gate with his peripheral vision.

Now that Celeste was freed from potential eternal imprisonment, it was time for Ita to face his opponent, surely someone of his caliber would have sensed his chakra by now and Ita didn’t want this battle to take place near his allies, incase things got messy. Ita’s keen eye’s surveyed the field before him, his hands and eyes ready to react at any sign of the enemy. Also, for good measure, lets assume that Ita performed these actions at his max speed.

Was fighting all shinobi were truly good for?

Ok boys and girls, we are going to address a situation here that has been brought up thanks to the kunai throwing maniac Hikari.  It is now going to be official that for the most part any large AoE's cast in any of the subsequent topics, regardless of their distance from one another cannot crossover to the other threads.  This is under the assumption that the distance required to actually make them separate threads is enough to clear everyone involved.  As well each topic has its own particular timeline and these attacks will be too hard to keep track of for everyone involved.

So, you cannot target anyone outside of the topic you are in.  As well you cannot be targeted by someone outside of the topic you are in.  You can note that an attack occurred within your own topic if you so choose, but that is simply for your own story.  As well, in the case of the shuriken shadow clone, the extra kunai produced from the jutsu exist only in the topic in which they were used.  This goes the same for any other jutsu similar to it.  All threads involved are separate.

There may be exceptions to this rule and that will be handled on a case by case basis.

Any questions please address them Here

The First Storm [Village Destruction] - Page 5 Empty Re: The First Storm [Village Destruction]

Thu Sep 21, 2017 6:27 pm
The next few moments went by in a blur for the young Hyuuga, her body numbing as she continued to kneel down in the muddy earth. Her knee and leg, covered by her black tights, were undoubtedly dirty from the murky, squishy liquid she remained loyal to. The rain cried out violently with a loud roar at the lives to be lost, weeping at what was to come.

The man who wielded the menacing looking weapon had suddenly thrown an explosive tagged kunai at the short Jounin that struck a chord within her very being with his moving words just moments before. She was unsure as to what the man had done to elicit such a reaction from the threatening mizukage, but deduced that something had displeased him more so than the rebellion of the shinobi rising to defy him had.

An inaudible gasp escaped her lips as his words echoed throughout the area, his voice cutting deep within the young girl’s heart sharper than any blade could ever. Let the slaughter begin.

With eyes wide open in disbelief, she watched as the army behind the mizukage marched forwards with the signal of their leader. The war with Kirigakure was finalized. There was no mercy for them anymore. They had lost any chances of negotiations, all that remained would be hardships, bloodshed, and death. She wasn’t sure if any of them would make it out alive, besides the few Genin that had scurried away to safety as the man had suggested. The only remains of Konohagakure would potentially rest in the hands of children, newborns fresh out of the academy. Most had never even seen the outside world, how could they survive as village-less shinobi? Would they become like Mitsui, wandering around from place to place and never settle, always loyal to Konoha? Or would they turn their backs on the village hidden in the leaves, take refuge in another shinobi village, and start over again?

Yet, how could they be so certain that the mizukage wouldn’t continue his invasions, striking every shinobi village until he took control of them all? Hikari had not even the slightest of clue if the kages of the other villages could handle Kirigakure if they ended up not being able to themselves.

Hikari gritted her teeth, anger swelling in her tiny, but proportionate, frame. If only all of these shinobi had listened to their Hokage, they could have avoided the unnecessary fighting. What was so wrong about saving their comrades, or at least listening to the terms of the mizukage before condemning them all to death? They had no idea why he had chosen the Hidden Leaf with his army. Maybe he had visited them for another reason besides war, such as a trading business deal. If not, they could have still waited to hear his terms, as he had seemed like a reasonable, albeit rash, man. His demands might not have even been as terrible as an invasion, he might have just wanted to talk things through with the Hokage but brought his army in case they threatened him? But maybe Hikari was still too naive in her thoughts, wanting to believe that he had good intentions, or as good as they can get when appearing at the front gates of another village with a massive army and just as massive a display of power, when he approached them.

In the following instance two things occurred in rapid succession. The mizukage, with his rather large weapon resting limply on his shoulder, made his way towards their Hokage, quickly closing the gap in seconds. While that took place, the Hokage threw her own kunai, intercepting the attack meant for the eye-patch wearing man. The kunais struck one another, leaving the Hokage’s kunai to fly a few feet past the Mizukage’s. It was then that the explosive tag erupted, although it didn't seem to the kunoichi that anyone had been injured, much to her relief.

As for the target of the attack, he continued weaving his hand signs as if nothing had happened. She thought maybe his good eye wasn’t working as properly as it should be for him to miss what could have been a kunai to claim his life. Instead of caring about, or rather paying attention to, his surroundings, he seemed to be in his own world as a second aura enveloped his body, lighter than the first dark grey one that encased him. He then began walking forward ever so slowly, as if he were hesitant to approach the metallic contraption thundering towards them.

It was around this time that everyone else broke away from their kneeling, er standing by now, running off in all directions to fight the warriors of the Mist. Hikari watched as the battles began, each side knowing exactly which opponent they wanted to fight, while she remained in place. Even if the girl wanted to stand in rebellion and fight alongside her comrades, her body was frozen in place. Despite being twenty years old, this was her first encounter with real bloodshed and war. Everything up until now was butterflies and rainbows compared to the bloody mist. Heck, even finding out about the deaths of her brother and sister, and her closest friends, could not compare to the distress she currently felt. Scenarios replayed over and over again in her head, illusions and memories so real it was like they had already happened.

She could see the battlefield, the walls connected to the village gates crumbling and the entire village in flames, civilians screaming in terror as they ran for their lives, bodies fighting everywhere as they roared their battle cries. One body in particular stood out to her the most.

The brilliantly snowy white wolf fighting alongside the blonde haired beauty, fighting the man that had been seen fighting amongst his fellow shinobi previously. He wore a mask, and was the one the mizukage had offered to fight the brave Jounin woman who stood against him at the beginning. Those two ended up fighting in the end. It seemed they were destined to clash, although who was destined to come out alive was yet to be revealed..

Hikari saw the masked Anbu slash through the shoulder of Salzem, his pure fur slowly becoming tainted with his own blood, the red liquid spreading down his body and falling to the ground where it pooled in deep puddles, mixing with the rain and softened earth. The man they fought was getting the best of them, disappearing and reappearing over and over again at inhuman speeds, striking them each time he appeared with the same blade that he had used against his comrade. They were unable to detect his movements, and even with Sal’s lycan senses, he was untraceable. Knowing they were outnumbered and outmatched, yet continuing to fight no matter what, reflected the Will of Fire within their hearts, burning as loudly as the village behind them.

Hikari found the strength in her legs as Salzem missed another attempt at slamming into the man with his fists, her body shakily rising from the earth. She had to get over to him, to save him from the assailant rearing down on them. Even if she was no match for the man, she thought she could stall him long enough for Sal and the woman to counter him, hopefully taking him out in one immeasurably powerful combined attack.

Her small legs were as heavy as lead while she ran, pushing herself as hard as she could to reach them. Time seemed to slow down, the fight in front of her worsening by the second, her white eyes full of concern for the well being of her remaining family.

The woman attempted to use some kind of earth jutsu to hold the man in place, the ground beneath him coming to life and wrapping around his left ankle, to keep him still while the remaining earth wrapped around his other appendages. With the man locked in his spot, Hikari watched as Salzem used one of his higher level taijutsu techniques, one he had never used against her in battle. He came in close to the man, his arm striking him in the temple, instantly knocking him out and sending his crippled body rolling several meters.

Or at least, that was what should have happened.

The moment Salzem’s large arm was right beside the man’s head, the ANBU disappeared from his earth bindings, only to reappear behind Salzem milliseconds later.

“Salzem, behind you!” She cried out, her voice hoarse and barely louder than a whisper. Yet her words would not have reached the lycan in time even if her voice had yelled at the top of her lungs.

They were too late, and had been from the beginning.

The man’s blade pierced easily through Salzem’s flesh, striking his heart instantly as it went out the other side of his chest. His blood ran cold down his back and chest, his body falling limp as his legs gave out. His large frame crashed down to the ground with a deafening thump, mud splashing up from the impact. He laid motionless on the ground,no sign of life coming from the young boy shifted wolf. The ANBU wiped the blood from his blade and turned his attention to the blonde, but Hikari lost track of what happened to them, caring not about their fates. She only cared about one thing, and that was the broken shinobi currently bleeding out from the wounds he sustained.

Tears blurred her vision as her legs picked up the pace, suddenly feeling time speed up as she reached the fallen man in seconds. She instantly activated her medical ninjutsu, her hands glowing a faint blue hue for her mystical palms technique. Her hands rested on his opened back as she pushed a large majority of her chakra into him, willing his body to begin the healing process with her help. His body refused to respond, the tissue indifferent to her chakra and the feelings laced within.

Her tears mixed with the rain as she poured more chakra into Sal, crying aloud in gumbled noises, wailing at the life she was desperately holding onto. Hikari was becoming desperate as her attempts failed, not wanting to accept his death as reality.

Seconds, minutes, hours. Hikari lost track of time, her grief consuming her whole being. She begged any God to hear her prayers and bring life back into him, to have his chest rise and fall steadily. Even pleading with the Gods above to answer her one request and offering her own life in exchange for his, turning herself into nothing more than a sacrificial lamb.

But no God answered her prayers.

Only the cries of shinobi slaughtering one another and the stench of fresh blood greeted her as she came back to reality. Her drained eyes blinked back to her senses, the world coming into focus around her.

Salzem was dead.

She had failed to save him, being too weak and slow to do anything. Unable to fulfill the one vow she had ever made to change the course of history, combating the curse of death for all those she cared about. Due to her own faults, she was left alone in the world once again, bringing her back to the times before she had met any of her friends in Konoha, before she gained two brothers and a sister, before the war.

Hikari felt numb, her body growing as cold as the one her hands gripped tightly, and her jutsu was deactivated as she could no longer save him from the clutches of death. She had come to grips with the fact he had passed on, hoping he would finally find peace in the afterlife from the battle he fought within himself. That was when she felt a hand on her shoulder, a gentle touch bringing her attention away from her younger brother.

If seeing Salzem fall victim to murder before her eyes was not enough torture, the sight before her was even worse. A shiver ran down her spine, her widened eyes frozen like ice.

The ground all around her dotted itself in crimson as bodies littered the mud, eyes void of life and unmoving as statues. Not one shinobi remained alive, Kirigakure had in fact slaughtered the entire village’s army force.

However, the agony did not stop at the bodies of the fallen warriors. Kiri shinobi were leading the villagers out into the middle of the battlefield, demanding they obey their orders quietly if they valued their lives. Some of the villagers obeyed, sinking into the wet earth in submission, but others stood as mighty as the blonde Jounin had, a fire burning within their hearts.

The fire wanted to be heard, and so it did. Along with the jumbled contortions of pain the villagers screamed out as they were brutally murdered in cold blood. Kiri had no qualms about killing innocent people, valuing loyalty above human life.

In the end, it seemed the Mizukage wanted to make an example out of the entire village, a punishment for anyone defying him. With the swift motion of his hand, the soldiers beheaded all of the villagers, even children among the butchered flesh. Blood rained down upon the Kiri forces, their faces twisted in pure ecstasy as they soaked in the warm liquid, bathing in all its grotesque glory. They wanted more scarlet to dance in the air, more screams of pleas for mercy, more bodies to add atop their growing collection. They were not yet satiated, still craving for lives to take.

Yet only Hikari remained, breathing amongst the dead. The lone survivor of the war, meant to live with the burden of their deaths till her own life came to an end.

Before she could bat an eye the Mizukage himself stood in front her, his ominous blade smirking down at her. It was then she knew her life would come to an abrupt end, at the hands of the enemy, yet she feared nothing. She stared up at him, her expression empty and emotionless. Her life held no meaning to it, just a vessel for a soul that no longer belonged among the living. Death no longer threatened her for she already felt dead inside, wanting nothing more than to die alongside those who fought for their village, despite knowing she didn’t truly belong with them.

The man swung the shark-like weapon down with ease, slashing into her left shoulder and draining her chakra when the sword bit into her. She didn’t wince in pain as her legs began to crumple below her, her body crashing to the floor as her mind went blank. She heard laughing from above as they were mocking her for being such a failure. Hikari didn’t blame them, they were right about her, abandoning her village to grieve over a fallen shinobi went against the shinobi code of conduct. In all of the ninja world, she was no better than garbage now, and death would be a sweet friend compared to the cruelties of being a prisoner and having to live with herself.

Thus as the weapon crunched into her skull, shattering the fragile bones, she closed her eyes and welcomed death with open arms, a blissful smile resting upon her mutilated face. Hikari hoped she would be able to see all of her loved ones in the afterlife, or be reincarnated in the next life as an ally to them.

The last thought that crossed her mind as she faded away into nothingness was Kuro, her ever so faithful companion. She hoped he had escaped the village and ran off to save his own skin, finding a new home in the forest or another village. If he had died, she was thankful he didn’t die in front of her as Salzem had. The pain that would have brought her added on top of the pain her heart was already shattered by, would have tipped her over the edge. She might have saved them the trouble of finding her by going on a suicide mission to avenge the deaths of every lost soul.

Salt mixed with water as tears rolled down her cheeks, the world around her slowly coming back into focus, her eyes frantically searching around. Hikari had been lost in thought for what seemed to be eternity, but, with a sigh of relief, was only a few seconds as she noted everyone was in roughly the same positions they had been before her mind took control of her. She almost smiled as she saw Salzem and the blonde still alive, but any traces of her smile vanished as she saw both of them were fighting the masked man. Her hands clenched, fear taking control of her as her eyes grew wide for the umpteenth time.

What if what she saw was not just her mind making imaging things, what if it was a premonition of the outcome to the war? Would she have to watch as everyone died before her mercilessly, sacrificing their lives to protect their home? Could she handle witnessing Salzem die a second time in a row, knowing there was no way it could be reversed? What about the rest of the Konoha shinobi, could she stomach their deaths? Or the deaths of innocent people who never agreed to risk their lives for their villages? Was there really nothing she could do to contribute to the war?

The gears in her mind started turning, an idea popping into her head as her questions brought about change. What if she could heal multiple people at once, instead of only being able to heal one person while three more get injured? It was then she watched at least a hundred kunai flew past her right side, aimed at the same shinobi targeted before by the Mizukage. His words, along with those of the courageous woman, came to mind. Rise, unless you have forsaken your families and home. Now is your defining moment [as shinobi of the Hidden Leaf village]. Our safety now means nothing later when we’re so quick to claim defeat every time someone comes knocking down our doors. Hikari felt the same intense desire to fight, to risk her all for those who could not, and stand among her allies against the army trying to oppress them. The Will of Fire had yet to be extinguished from this young girl’s heart, and was burning it’s brightest as the other Will of Fires’ had in those who chose to stand the first time.

Hikari was determined now more than ever to make her technique physical, her lilac tinted eyes shining with renowned strength as she thought about her fire chakra affinity, how she could form several balls of fire at once and aim them in any direction, controlling them at will. As if lightning struck her, the jutsu she wanted to create appeared flawlessly in her mind. She knew exactly what she wanted to do, her only problem was how to do it. The kunoichi had never made her own jutsu before, always learning techniques from books or other people. She felt as if it could be similar to reading a jutsu from a book, and as such, treated it that way when she began to craft her saving grace technique on the battlefield.

She continued to kneel, hiding behind the guise of her betraying her village in order to keep safe while she mentally working out the finer details of her technique. This jutsu, one she deemed the Will of Fire Healing Style from the origin of its birth, would be one that almost combined her mystical palms and great fireball techniques into one. However, instead of burning whoever touched the fireballs, they would be healed as long as she believed they were an ally of hers. If they were an enemy, she would negate any healing effects her chakra produced and her fireball would disperse at her will. Hikari chose the snake, dog, tiger, and dragon hand signs to perform the technique, feeling the utmost imaginary power from those seals, and thought about how far she could throw her fireballs in a controlled manner, establishing her limit to be roughly twenty meters.

With the majority of the attributes for her technique resolved, she slowly began to rise to her feet, a fiery glare in her eyes as she analyzed the battlefield with her Byakugan activated. Her snowy eyes detected all the shinobi around her, and as she had memorized all of the Konohagakure signature’s while they awaited the Mizukage, she sensed where her people were fighting. Many were equally paired in their fights, three versus three or two versus two, and thus, she was unsure as to where she should go.

Ultimately she remembered her duties as a medical-nin, and knew her place belonged among the healers, and not the fighters. Yet the heart is a fickle thing, and despite her brain telling her to lay low, her heart told her to stay near Salzem, within range of being able to quickly heal him should he need it. One might say she was playing favorites, and they would be correct. But how could an older sister stand around and watch her baby brother get injured? If that was the shinobi way regarding siblings, Hikari was unaccustomed to it, never having been taught such rules when she was but a young Genin.

Therefore, Hikari dashed off at a speed of 55 towards the direction of Salzem and the blonde Jounin, her hand in the ram hand seal lest she need to Body Flicker towards anyone in need of assistance, including Salzem himself. She would remain roughly ten meters away, staying out of the fight as of this moment, from Sal and the Kirigakure shinobi he was clashing with, whoever that may be, unless her attention was brought towards another Konohagakure shinobi in dire need of her assistance.

The First Storm [Village Destruction] - Page 5 Empty Re: The First Storm [Village Destruction]

Mon Oct 30, 2017 3:27 pm
Walking back through the fray, multitudes of shinobi stopped their fighting when he passed by them, the exhausted Hokage bridal carried in his arms. The fight was clearly over. One leader had defeated the other, and yet that wasn't the end. A masked head hung limp at the side of Xyxer, bouncing with each step he took. A simple reminder of Kirigakure's brutality, and Xyxer's love for the old ways his village wrought as tradition. Death, change, and adaptation had come all at once for the lovely village that nestled itself in the leaves. The storm had started to die down by now, yet the rain pattered just as hard as it did before. In fact, Xyxer was momentarily confused as to why buildings in the village somehow maintained their ability to burn despite the weather that could drench entire mountaintops. Yet, it wasn't for him to judge. Water had never been detrimental to him anyway.

Granted everything was to go as intended, the shinobi from other topics would soon flock towards the final resting place before Xyxer, kneeling, as they were about to be instructed by NPC ninja from Kirigakure, and maybe even PC ninja, wouldnt that be exciting. He'd wait for now, however, with the defeated leader in his arms, so that her people could witness the sight themselves. Hikari was to be moved towards the line where people were told to kneel, this time not in order of rank, and Kotsuzui was to remain some distance behind him, flanked by the forces of Kirigakure. He wasn't going to want to miss this.. if the girl had been capable of healing him up enough to be conscious, that is.
