The End of it All (Village Destruction)

Keita:

Keita was ready for what was about to transpire, as he had been by his best friend’s side for many years now, and was completely ready to die with him or for him, if need be. But Keita was completely optimistic as a person, and thought that it was going to be fine. He had gotten here with the rest of the group, and he was used to working with Kizmaru, so he was next to him most of the time anyways. Currently, he was sitting in a lotus position two meters away from Kizmaru, feeling the energy of the world flowing into him. He was simply going to sit there, unmoving from his position for a moment as he gathered the energy around him. This would allow him to ride atop the construct next to Kizmaru on the head of the Lotus King while gathering much needed Nature Energy to fuel one of his most powerful moves. He was still aware of his surroundings however, and before this he had checked and rechecked all of his gear to make sure that he was ready for anything.

Keita currently had on his specialty cloth armor, the face mask pulled down, making him appear somewhat faceless to the outside world, but he could still see perfectly fine. It did not look the best, but the protection that it offered was top notch, so he had no right to complain about it. Inside Keita’s armor but still within easy reach into the robes were Keita’s scrolls and pouches, filled with all of his handheld gear and consumables. For now, Keita would simply watch on as his new compatriot mercenary Ibari commented on getting the party started. Keita watched as he rose fifty meters into the air, being on Kizmaru’s left side on the head of the construct as they made their way to the village. Keita thought it made for a good picture in his mind, him sitting on top of a buddha like statue as the energy of nature flowed into him, much like a summoned creature would be able to do for someone.

Keita sat there, and noticed that the sky was a bit overcast and slightly humid, observing the environment. As Keita watched in front of him as they neared the village, he was ready to respond to whatever threat came about. Keita was especially on guard against people potentially being invisible, as something like that had almost killed him previously when they went to go fight pirates. Just being on guard against it would only help so much, however, but it would remain a possibility in the back of his mind.

Souji Hyuuga:

The beginning to a story made in history was finally upon them, yet Souji was unaware of the impact this day would have on his life, should he win or lose. The prince of Suna would stand among his groups, to the left of Keita, just 3 meters. His eye would glaze over, the lilac would be completely painted with the Byakugan activating; 360 degrees of vision was gifted to the Hyuuga lad as he stood with his hands within his pockets. His hair flowing in the gales of wind. He hand no fancy clothing like the rest, only his body. What clothing he had was pants, shoes and unique arm bands that covered his shoulders to his wrist, but left the inner arms visible. 

As the wooden structure raised, Souji took his place on the massive head that housed five other smaller heads. He had to hold on and balance himself fairly well to keep from losing his footing as it erected from the earth. He would notice both Kizmaru and Keita were among him. While Ibari stayed to his own devices. He was not surprised about that. He was still not sure if this was the right thing to do, but he had a great deal of respect for Kenshin and if this was the last memory of a desire he wanted…he had no choice but to help Ibari see it through. Even if it meant to cross his cousin, but then again…Souji never had pleasant bonds with the members of his family to begin with. 

“Old man, I’ll put it all on the line to make you proud. I owe you that much. Therefor, I’ll go all out on this battlefield.” He would make a vow to do his best on this day. For those that know Souji and his skill, that only meant that he would spare no options to seek victory. As he stood stationed on the head of the wood structure he would focus his eye on the village, scanning it from a telescopic degree, thus beyond the 100 meter range it would normally provide. From what he could see, the village was possible surrounded by what could be a lime green bubble, or was faint, nearly nonexistent - hard to say if it was really there, or not. “Kizmaru, Keita, Ibari! Careful, there’s a faint lime green bubble surround the village. About 100 meters out if I’m correct. I’m guessing it’s some sort of village defense system, or maybe something more. I can’t be too sure…but to be on the safe side, I’ll see if I can pinpoint the source. If it’s something of that scale, it should have some sort of emitter that I can trace to the source.” His Byakugan would then dart around to find a connection. His eye would follow the unique chakra source to the largest of buildings. “I followed the trace of the bubble’s chakra to…the kage’s building. Last I was here I recalled it in passing during the Chuunin exams. I can tell what whatever it is it’s near the chambers of the Kage. That much I can say.” He would ease the tension of his eye as he reduced the range of his vision. This information was given before the coming into contact with the bubble. He would then stay on guard for what was to come next, if anything.

Five meters behind the green Masakdo Protocol that extended 100 meters away from the gates of Hoshi stood Ayato Hyuuga, the Seventh Hogokage. Ayato had just turned twenty, yet hard as a man of thirty. He was tall, with long lengths, broad shoulders, and a flat stomach even when seated. His thin arms were jagged with muscle. His thick raven hair was tied in a bun behind his head. He had once tried to grow a beard, but when he realized the whiskers on his cheeks wouldn't connect, he razored them and from then on kept a clean-shaven look. His eyes were white-grey, flecked with lavender.  

Clad from head to toe, he wore his armor, the Raiment of Eternal Fortune, all his handheld equipment carried on his person, the pouches safely stored underneath his robes.

A white shadow was direct to the Kage's right side and 5 meters away from him. Dusk Tachibana in an ANBU armor the color of milk, his cloak as white as freshly fallen snow, his handheld gear also on his person. "This seems a bit hardcore." Dusk said, "You'd usually expect a ninja to be stealthy" Though he was the same age as his Kage, what set him apart was the blue hair on his head, falling loose part his shoulders like the crown of a sea king. 

At the Ridge 105 meters ahead, they saw a giant golem slide down a flat surface and sprint towards them. On top of its head stood three of the four mysterious figures. Ayato recognized a few of them with his Byakugan. Aloide Terumi, the Second MIzukage, the man that had sat next to Ayato during the Summit of Sunagakure and argued politics as if his life depended on it. Did he come to live up to the threat he had made to the Hogokage all those years ago? That would be the end of him.

Next to him was a hooded man in white monk robes, very similar to Ayato's darker ones. His disguise would have hidden his identity from most shinobi, but not a Hyuuga of the Byakugan. The last of the known figures was his cousin, Souji Hyuuga. That took even Ayato back for a second. "My blood, how did you become so lost?" 

The fourth mysterious figure, the anomaly that Ayato did not recognize, had taken his seat on one of the golem's smaller heads. That curious fellowship consisted of two Kiri shinobi and at least one from Suna.

Ayato would stay vigilant, focused on the gang, looking for the danger or the opportunity, and ready to react accordingly. When the running Golem was 25 meters away from the protocol, Souji attempted to shout something. Dusk directly in their line of sight activated his mastered Bringer of Darkness. If everything went accordingly, that would temporarily blind the fellowship members stationed in the more oversized head in total darkness.

He awoke that next morning to a bed, the woman he had shared the bed with for the past few weeks lay comfortably…though she was older than he was, there was still grace and beauty in her frame and Yamato smiled to himself softly before getting up to stretch and go to the bathroom to shower.  It did not take him long before the woman joined him and he shared another intimate moment with her before they got out.  Making a light breakfast he was happy with life…he knew his job as a Jounin was still just starting, but he felt at ease in this lifestyle and after finishing his breakfast he moved back to his room so that he could dress.  Putting on his sealed braces, covering his body with a light Gi he then assembled the pieces of the Land of Iron armor, leaving the helmet off of his head as he placed his katana at his left hip, the fuma shuriken at his back and he moved around.  Everything felt easy to move in, and he looked the part of a true warrior now, he had his naginata downstairs and he knew that today was going to be a good day.  Something about it just presented itself differently, he smiled as the woman gave him his helmet and the manipulation fabric.  He put the fabric on his head first and pushed some chakra through to allow it to change to a cloth type facial covering before he donned the helmet and left for the day, he had duty at the gate today.

Grabbing his Naginata he left the apartment complex before making his way to the village gates.  The wind blew through the area and he was keeping to himself as he arrived at the gates.  He received a quick briefing, telling him everything he needed to know.  Then as he stepped outside he noticed one thing that was drastically different from the last time he came out here to let a vagabond into the village…it was quiet…

The wind blew again and with it there was a peculiar scent in the air…three refugees arrived at the gates looking afraid as they approached.  They were short of breath but they told Yamato…that there were more refugees but something about a peculiar group near the borders was keeping the refugees at bay.  That was when he saw it, a creature rise above the treeline…something that even looked to be as big as the so-called towers of Amegakure.  So Yamato’s eyes grew wide before signaling two guards to come up, telling one to escort the refugees inside, the other was to go to Ayato and warn him there will be a cataclysmic  incident on the horizon…

Yamato took up a defensive posture and began to scan the horizon, while controlling his breathing and beginning to feel the natural energy of the earth in his veins.  He looked at the other guards, they looked frightened as Yamato whistled before jumping up and using some acrobatics as well as small footholds he scaled the 50 meter high wall until he got to the top, sprinting over to the top of the village gates and called out to the guards below.  “STAND UP WARRIORS OF HOSHIGAKURE!!!”  His voice echoed amongst the gates and the walls in the immediate area.  He took in another breath as he pointed his naginata out towards the golem.  “TODAY…TODAY WE FIGHT AS ONE AGAINST THE INVADERS OF OUR LAND!  DRAW YOUR WEAPONS AND TAKE DEFENSIVE ACTION!  WE…WE WILL BE THE FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE!”  Yamato spoke loudly, it was no glorious speech…he was never the one to do so, and now his blood was boiling…that long locked away mindset was returning, and today Shinrei Yamato…no Miyamoto Terumi would defend his village and redeem himself for his wrongdoings in the past.  The village guards all looked up at Yamato before drawing and raising their weapons. Earth shinobi raised defensive walls, minimal barriers truly, but still…something since they could not activate village defenses.  The guards that needed to raise an alarm moved to their stations and the word was sent to the shinobi across the village.  This mess was likely to get out of hand soon.

Yamato readied himself as he looked upon the golem coming down and towards the village, of course he was shaking, this was a moment that would define him…or see him finally return to the earth having failed his mission.  When he remembered the small family he had taken in at his home, their fear…this was how his family must have thought when they escaped Amegakure…He would make sure nobody else had to go through what he did.  He clenched his fist and he snarled as he let out a defiant roar to the sky.  

He was ready for a fight…

Akabayashi was just sitting at the gates gathering his energy when the giant showed up. It was a slow moving thing wasn't it? It slid down from the cliff and then began its slow run toward the barrier the Terumi thought the thing was a about to barrel through the lime green Masakado Protocol before at roughly 25 meters out from the protocol some kid (Souji) mentioned it. Of course Akabayashi couldn't hear this. (Its just a detail that was left out and assumes you move the distance before stopping.) At present the Terumi was 5m inside the protocol and to the left of of Ayato and Dusk. His distance to them being 10m.


Whether these people decided to stop was up to them the giant was headed in the direction of the kage and his associate and not the Nova. It would have to turn slightly to reach Akabayashi. Luckily he had all of his preplaced defenses at the ready in the event of an emergency. Things were set and he was ready to get a view of his attackers faces from atop the giant. It seemed the Mizukage didn't accept the favor he owed Akabayashi from the looks of it and he wasn't alone. The other one from the first time they had met was with him as well. If things seemed more calm perhaps the Doctor would wave, but today was not the day for such a thing. This was clearly an attack and not a subtle one. It was very convenient for them to hitch a ride together it would be much simpler to take them all down in one fell stroke with something like that.

Sebastian Loghain's Stats:

What a dreary day this would seem to be, the grey clouds hanging overhead kept the sun from shining directly to the ground. Still, he had figured that he could grab a bit to eat in the village, and hopefully the wind would blow the clouds away to allow the sun to properly embrace the earth beneath it once more. The area surrounding the village gates wasn't particularly noteworthy, the solid earth underfoot hard on the travelled feet of the wolf. He was doing a great deal more scouting around the village these days, seeking out threats as best as he could. Walking down the road, the relatively unencumbered man was just wearing his normal clothing of dark breeches and a baggy shirt. No armor adorned his body, though he did have his consumables and other ninja tools on him in his pouches resting on each thigh as they hung from his belt. It would be rather easy to mistake him as a simple traveler if one wasn't paying too close of attention. 

Sebastian Loghain found himself spotting what could only be described as some sort of large, wooden buddha or at least something that closely resembled one. It had quite a great number of arms sprouting from its back, too many to bother with counting just yet. It would emerge from the plateau on Hoshi's outskirts, and begin to step off to slide down the side of what looks to be damn near a sheer cliff. Considering that it seemed to be mobile, it was a ninjutsu of some sort no doubt. And if someone conjured such a massive creature and decided to make their way towards the gates there was no doubt in the young wolf's mind. This was an attack of some sort. He was a mere 110 meters from those starting this wooden giants initial position at the high point of the plateau with the giant on his left peripheral and the gates on his right peripheral. The giant was a mere 200 meters away from his villages gates and at an elevation of 300 meters while on this perch. He was confident that he could intercept it, but judging by the sheer size of the thing it wouldn't be easy. 

He would quickly sprint into action, wasting little to no time. Weaving all of the needed seals as quickly as possible Loghain would activate his chakra nullification and hiding with camouflage as the giant was descending, completing the seals before it even travel a few meters down. The camouflage effect would spread across his body, starting at the side closest to the invaders and quickly spreading. This would render the wolf even more difficult to detect without expended effort. 

The now stealthier wolf would run to intercept the giant. Should he get to the interception point (when the giant is only 50 meters away from the defensive bubble) and the giant is still conjured he would utilize Chakra Enhanced Strength and then launch a Spear Hand in attempts to shatter the wood golem in one fell swoop as the giants weight was shifted to its right leg (the leg closest to Loghains position).

The time for Fu The Monster Hunter to carve out a section for herself in Hoshigakure’s history was upon her. Fu stood just a meter behind Ayato, the Hogokage, and 1 meter to his right so that she was not standing in his shadow, placing her in the area between Ayato and Dusk. This was not the first time that Fu had joined Ayato and members of his Nova unit on the battlefield, however their last expedition had been cut short prior to any engagement, leaving her eager to prove herself to her new comrades and show to them what she was made of. If Fu was successful in aiding in the protection of the village, she was sure she would one day earn a place amongst their ranks- or at least prove to the people of Hoshigakure that she was no longer an outsider, but a hero.

A loud rumbling would occur in the distance, putting the entire village and surrounding areas on alert. Fu activated the EMS in her right eye and summoned her Yata Shield at the start of the sound and a Semi-Translucent cloak that shimmered rainbow colors would envelop her entire being, extending 1 inch from her body in all directions.

106 meters away from Fu’s current location, she would watch as a giant monstrosity would be erected from the ground, most likely the origin of the loud rumbling noise they had heard just moments before. “Forgive me Ayato, but destroying that monster is my destiny.”

The monstrosity would begin to move towards the edge of the plateau and with its first step, Fu would summon yet another semi-translucent veil around her body, this time, the arura acting as a source of invigoration in comparison to the protection granted by her Yata Mirror. This aura too extended from her body 1 inch in all directions.

Immediately following the activation of her booster, Fu would quickly weave 5 hand seals (Tiger, Monkey, Horse, Boar, Sheep) and upon completion, would press hard against the ground and shoot into the air at a 45-degree angle in the direction of the assailants.

The golem would begin it’s descent down the side of the Plateu and Fu would travel towards it, passing through the protocol and continuing to ascend while advancing until reaching the max flying height of 40M where she would then begin moving in a direct path towards the Golem whilst maintaining her flying height.

Fu traveled until she came within 50M of the Golem. Fu would then pause her momentum and suspend herself in the air, 40M above the ground. Fu located a point on the golem with her right eye, 25M from the ground and around the golems mid-section and would launch her attempt at destroying the Golem.

A black flame would spawn directly on the Golem’s mid-section and erupt into a fury of black flame that would begin to spread in every direction, until reaching the maximum radius of 25M, from the origin point on the golem’s midsection- with the intent of consuming it entirely and reducing the monster and its commanders to nothing but ash.

Beginning his descent down the mountain with the wooden avatar, Kizmaru had been looking at his destination as the wooden construct slid down. There was no way people wouldn't hear the rumbling by now and so he'd have to keep an eye out as there might be something lying in wait for them. And as if on queue, Kizmaru could spot a powerful mixture of chakra in the distance coming towards his wooden golem. Kizmaru couldn't quite discern if it was one being with two different kinds of chakra but the only thing he was sure of was it wasn't friendly if it was coming from the village he was bent on destroying. Using fifty of the wooden construct's arms, he'd have the construct dig into the side of the plateau at around a hundred meters from the ground in order to further examine the incoming threat. The individual had suspended itself in mid air as it paused for a moment. Kizmaru watched with intent, simultaneously shifting ten of the wooden construction arms to the front of  the construct as the figure looked towards the midsection of the human avatar. Using his Sharingan's perceptive ability, he was made aware of the exact direction the individual was looking at followed by a different color of chakra being focused through his right eye. 

Kizmaru decided to cover the midsection of the human avatar as the epicenter had begun to form, redirecting it to its arms instead. The arms of the avatar had caught fire instead of the midsection, simultaneously firing all ten of them at the individual in a rather unique formation as the flames began to spread. Kizmaru had the wooden construct fire them in a pattern where the ten of the arms bunched up together so it was a giant composite mass of burning black wood that was fifty meters in radius being shot towards the individual, focused with the intent of the individual being in the center. In the same vein, Kizmaru had chuckled before commenting, "That's a neat trick, mind if, I have it?" Using some of his chakra, Kizmaru would simply mimic what he had witnessed from the individual's motions and stimuli when they casted their black flames technique, taking it for his own for the time being. If all was said and done, Kizmaru would halt and stay in that position for a little while longer so his allies may also launch attacks or prepare defenses as well as anticipating the flying individual's next move.

Battle Statistics:
