Odin's Surgery (Akihana Only)

Odin dreamed of himself in a different world.  He was floating on his back in the sky, as if the sky was a sea of water.  He felt a warm glow cover his body.  The warmth felt like wave of love that washed over his skin, giving him goose bumps.  He felt a fire of passion rising in his chest. 

Suddenly, he opened his eyes.  He was back in this reality.  He didn't jump up but just felt the passion of warmth still in coarsing in his body.  He lifted his right hand and touched his bandaged eye.  His free eye blinked repeatively as he felt a weird feeling overcome his vision.  He could have sworn he saw Arata, but maybe he was still dreaming.  He turned his head and the child was next to him, watching him intently.  He smiled at the boy, pleased to see him,
"How've you been Arata?  Hope you are studying well.  I learned some jutsu just for you..."  it hurt a little to look at the boy, he tried not to show weakness to the kid and casually closed his one free eye.  He pulled himself up, sitting up from the table he was on, dangling his feet off the ground. 

"Look what I learned," he excitingly spoke to the kid, showing his own inner child as he spoke.  He used a half tiger seal and built up a small amount of chakra in his chest.  He made it a point to not make a huge flame but had a small stream of fire puff out over the boy's head.  It disappeared immedietly, he felt a wave of dizziness wash over him.  He did not show the boy how unbalanced he was, leaning back and putting a hand behind him to hold him up for balance. 

He smiled at the kid but his fatigue was setting in, his lips twitched as he did so.

Akihana returned to the room only to find not Odin just awake but performing a jutsu for Arata who in turn was bouncing in his chair, his big dark eyes even wider than usual as they focused on the thin flame.

"Whoa," the boy breathed, excitement clear on his way. "Can you teach me too Nii-san, can you, please?"

"Not right now boys," the blonde interjected from the door as she sent a soft jet of water chakra to fizzle out the fire midflame, a soft smile on her face as she watched the both of them fondly. Odin was already sinking back into his bed, no doubt tired after the brief expansion of chakra. "No jutsu in the hospital unless mommy does them. And Odin needs to spend a few days taking it easy," she admonished only slightly, walking over to them and placing the medication on the table beside Odin's bed.

"However," she added when Arata opened his mouth to protest. "You can train with him afterwords. Once Odin has full vision, you guys can spend as much time training together as you like. And Arata will be a genin by then so he'll be able to learn a lot more jutsu too," she added to Odin.

Once she had made sure both boys were settled in and the Onimusha was comfortable enough, she left them alone in the room once more, trusting them to stick to the no jutsu rule. She still had an hour to go before she could clock out and Arata was having fun hanging out with the genin. Akihana knew how important good company was in the process of recovery and with a smile, left the room, leaving the boys to their own devices for now.
