Desecration(Kasai/Makussu/Iburi?)

Kasai felt himself falling into his friend, and cringed. He would have to think straight next time. Perhaps it was the extreme pain that caused him to act so terribly without thinking. He had known he had substituted right in front of his friend, yet, he had seemed to have forgotten when he fell with his bone sticking outward. It was too late now, what was done was done. 
He then felt himself drifting into a strange nothingness, which he had never felt before. He had passed out before, and he had fallen asleep before, but this was very different. This, he knew, was the feeling one had before they died. 
His breathing slowed, and he felt himself fall further and further from reality. However, he could feel his blood stop flowing back in the world. Perhaps Youka had healed him. That would be nice. he hoped he would heal Makussu as well, that would also be nice. 
Kasai then briefly wondered what kind of impression they had left on Youka, and then chuckled at the thought. Well, perhaps neither of them would die that day. 
Kasai slowly began waking up, though he knew not how long it had been.  Maybe a minute, maybe a week. It did not matter to him, he would wake when he had internally rested and healed enough. He wondered if Youka had moved him at all, or left him in the field of ash where he had been.
Either way, Kasai would slowly come back to his senses, most likely in an hour or so time. Possibly more.

Once the flames were extinguished and all that remained was burned grass and slight embers in the dry dirt the Demon walked over to the weakened Makussu. If anything they had shown that they were tenacious. They boy that could turn himself into paper had tried the same move that had failed to work twice. It showed that he had resolve to see things through. Or that he was stupid and couldn't think of a better form of attack.

Kasai while he did run away for most of the battle he did still show his true instincts and willingness to do what he needed for his own life to be spared. He might have seen it as saving his friends life but at the end of the day your life was more important than your neighbors. Kneeling down to heal the boys battered body back to operating capabilities a new thought popped into his head. He knew exactly what he would do for their next session.

"Take your friend back to the village and rest. Tomorrow you will meet me here again and we will try something different."

With those words he left the two in the plains by themselves, sure they could try to run but he would always find them and bring them back.
