Mission Topic: Patrol the Wall

Senba was walking up to the gates after being waked up with
an assignment. He was requested to go to the wall and patrol. He had his katana
and kunai with him just in case something did happen. He was also to report
suspicious activity around the gate if he saw anything. Arriving at the gate he
saw the other guard that he was replacing.


The guard said “There was really nothing. If the kage or
leader comes by just tell him I said that.”


Senba nodded and went on his way. The end of the wall was
pretty far away, but he did not mind. This gave him time to think. He stared at
the clouds and noticed it was cool and breezy outside. Senba really enjoyed it.
He kept his head on a slight swivel just to make sure. He pulled out a kunai
and started twirling it around his fingers. Getting about half way to the wall
he stopped and drank some water then went on with the assignment. Along the way
he heard a rustle in the bushes and immediately readied the kunai that he was
playing with and crept toward the bush. Senba slowly moved the bush and noticed
it was only a rabbit. He chuckled a little and went on his way.


Senba thought to himself “It was just a rabbit. There is no
need to be worked up.”


Senba got to the end of the wall and started heading back. This
was an uninteresting assignment but he did not complain. He would get ryo out
of it and probably not have to do this again. He could not wait to be a chunin
and go on harder missions. He hit the half-way point back and decided to stop
to drink some water. The cool breeze hit and he shivered a little, but it felt
great and put some energy in him. He smiled up at the sky as a cloud covered
the sun. Senba would like it to rain soon though so he could sit home and watch
the rain. He kept fiddling with the kunai with his fingers still looking around
just in case there was something. He was almost at the start of his assignment
and he could see the other guard there.


Senba said to himself “He is early or did they rush when
someone did not show up.”


He got to the start of the gate and greeted the other guard.
Senba told him there was nothing. The guard smiled and went on his way. Senba
headed back home.
