Even The Dead Must Party Empty Even The Dead Must Party

Sun Oct 16, 2022 1:58 pm

The twins walked up to the man who was, almost casually, sitting outside a ruined building. Eliza was dressed in all black. Black lipstick and black eyeliner topping it off, though she elected to not have any fake lashes or such. Her shirt was, well. Could one even call it a shirt? There were two layers to her top. More two separate pieces of clothing. One, barely more than a bra. More, yes, but barely. Decidedly black, at the least. Atop that was what would be an actual shirt, were it not completely mesh, and a larger mesh at that.

Elijah was... perhaps more extravagant. He had gone all out today. Eye shadow, a tight fitting sleeveless black tee shirt, and jeans that were deliberately too long and wrinkled made the base layer of his clothing. A large red cross necklace accentuated the look, though the the cross was hanging long side up from the over large chain. Elijah was not entirely sure what it actually meant, but he quite liked the way it looked.

The centerpiece of the outfit, however, was what he wore over this. It was an incredibly large, leather jacket. It was far too big for him, and wildly impractical beyond. It seemed as if it could be practically a straight jacket, with how many straps and buckles hung off of it. It would be a wildly terrible straight jacket if one tried, but it gave off a certain look, a certain energy. It gave Elijah the ability to be in the middle of an astoundingly loud and active environment, and look totally in place while just... existing on the side. Taking in the environment and waiting for the moment, and all that without looking out of place.

Throw in a cigarette (...or other smoking device...) and he could easily integrate into some of the other people on the sidelines while Eliza went off and partied it up.

But all that could only happen after they entered. They knew what would be going on inside. Possibly not entire legal, hopefully not illegal enough to be raided.

The bouncer outside, which that is what he was, was dressed as a homeless guy. Ragged clothing, a bottle in a paper bag, beanie and unkempt beard, all was in place. The twins new, though. Either he was pretending to be a bum, or he was a literal bum hired to scare off anybody who was considering looking through the "defunct, destroyed academy" on the spooky month.

After a brief discussion, Elijah and Eliza separately came to the conclusion that they were an actual bum payed to sit there and scare people. There was no effort put into stopping them after he went on a "drunken rant" that lasted all of ten seconds.

Not the best of signs that the party organizers cheaped out like that, but... There were other promising things.

Like the flashing lights the twins could already see as they walked towards the half fallen building, and the pillars of sound blocking materials they saw as they entered into the room.

The volume was loud, the lights were flashing. The party was ongoing, and Eliza wasted no time in leaving her brother behind and finding someone to dance with.

Elijah walked over and leaned against a wall, pullout out a cigarette and taking in the sights.

Even The Dead Must Party Empty Re: Even The Dead Must Party

Mon Oct 17, 2022 11:04 am
Naki was honestly just going about his business tonight. He was bored from being at home doing absolutely nothing and decided to go out and look for something to do. The 5'7 white hair dark skin genin would make his way towards the old building just because he hasn't been out there. As he approached the sound of music was obvious and that made him curious as this wasn't a normal thing.  "Hmmm what's going on over here?" he said as he started to make his way over. He would notice the bouncer and the amount of people who were just walking inside. Naki would take note of everyone's clothes as his were the opposite he would look at his shirt and pants before creating a clone that ran to get him some darker colors.

After about 10 minutes of waiting his clone would return with dark clothes. He wasn't the type to wear eye shadow so from there he'd pull out a notepad before heading towards the building. He would look around before going towards a window out of sight of everyone and opened it slipping inside of it and standing up in men's restroom luckily. He would slowly make his way towards the loud music and saw everything that was going on from the drinking to the smoking. He would shake his head before moving along to a spot that was away from people as he sat on a crate and started to stare at all the hazards that were presenting themselves to him.  "Guess people don't care about safety anymore." He mumbled softly to himself as he watched everyone having a good time.

Even The Dead Must Party Empty Re: Even The Dead Must Party

Mon Oct 17, 2022 8:22 pm
Elijah would never admit to watching guys enter and leave the bathroom.

Well, not unless the result was likely to be spicy.

But anyways, Elijah would likely never admit it, but it was not necessarily untrue.

More true than not, really. He wanted to be in on it, after all. It did not take much more than a side eye and a slightly angled head, puffing away at his cig in the meantime. Eliza was probably off somewhere finding a dance partner.

Or a dance partner.

Either way, Elijah had no real say nor care in the matter. What he was interested in was someone exiting the bathroom who was... holding a notepad.

Now he was not paying enough attention to know if the guy had gone in. Totally possible, Elijah was really on the lookout for things that may be juicy. But he was also on the lookout in general. And notepad guy was a noteworthy guy. Noteworthy enough to go meet, even.

He dropped his cig to the floor and smashed it underfoot. Really ground it in. Sure, the floor was dirt, but hey, he was trying to be a deviant, not an arsonist.

"Hey, doll face," he said as he approached the crate that Naki had sat on. "Lookin' a bit outta place here. Want some tips?"

A wide smile was spread across his face. Nobody would really be fooled into thinking it was a welcoming smile, but he was not going for that. The guy had confidence, walking up in here with a god damn notepad and what Elijah really hoped was a hastily put together outfit.

If that was the guy's style, well.

Oof.

But hey, hot people problems. They look good in basically everything, so gotta really put effort in to get good feedback on looks.

Even The Dead Must Party Empty Re: Even The Dead Must Party

Naki eyes would move towards the person who decided to join him. He would flip his pad closed before looking at the person who joined him. Hearing him call him doll face made him blink a bit before he snapped back to reality and gather his thoughts. "That's a first. Though yeah it's my first time here. Kinda wanted to come out and check it out expose myself to something new." He said as he placed a hand on his chin as he holds the notepad still. "But sure what's a good tip?" He asked though his passive sensory was going crazy with the fact this guy was so close to him. Naki would move his long hair to the side as he didn't think he was out of place but then again his natural silver hair made him stick out irregardless unless he used a jutsu bit that was doing the most.

With his passive sensory going he could sense all the chakra around him as he looked at this dolled up person as his eyes moved up and down his body. "Though I think you're more doll like than me. You spared no expense huh? It fits you." He teased him as he adjusted himself before looking back out towards the floor noticing the mess that was a mixture of sweat, drinks, and trash. As he was talking to him he would notice that a very similar chakra signature to this person's that was on the dance floor and moving around. His eyes would squint slightly before going back to normal as he thumbed the side of the notepad.

Even The Dead Must Party Empty Re: Even The Dead Must Party

Ooh, he was saucy. He was sitting but... Elijah had a good guess that he was pretty average height. Probably about as tall as Eliza, even.

"Not used to compliments? Ouch, says a lot about who you hang with." Elijah would bend down, leaning arms on knees for balance, but staying on his feet, mostly his toes. This would leave him a bit lower than Naki's head, but he had no issues looking up for something.

"But a tip, ey? First one has to be put the shit away and go have fun. You're just watching!" Elijah grabbed a pill out of his pocket, that was just hanging in his pocket. It was a sugar pill, but this guy didn't need to know that. He popped it into his mouth and swallowed. Then, he reached into his pocket, and pulled out an identical pill.

It was still a sugar pill, but Elijah planned on the placebo effect being pretty strong, well, assuming the guy took it. He held it out to Naki, motioning for the guy to take it, before standing up. If Naki did not take it, Elijah would shrug and down it himself. Freak the newcomer out for chump change.

"Oh, and by the by, I don't think we'll get far calling each other doll face. Name's Elijah," he said, standing back up. "You got a name, cupcake, or you want me ta' keep using nicknames?" The sudden turn and squint by the unknown person caught Elijah's attention, however.

"Ooh, someone catch you're eye? That's a good way to get involved! Let's go meet them~~"

Even The Dead Must Party Empty Re: Even The Dead Must Party

Sun Oct 23, 2022 8:52 pm
There is something intoxicating about the way the lights, the sweat, the heat, the sounds, the feelings...

They way it all comes together.

Dozens of people packed tighter than sardines, all doing what barely counts as dancing, sharing in the moment, being engrossed in the songs, the people. How there gets to a point where you cannot tell whether the shaking of the floor is from pounding bass lines, or from so many jumping and pounding their feet in unison, sometimes making you wonder if they will bring down the roof.

There is something in the air. A sort of euphoria that is entirely its own. Its own thing, its own being.

There is something about the people. How you can blink, and everyone around you changes, the mass of bodies more like a liquid, pushing, pulling, never going in just one direction.

There was something in the camaraderie. Everyone was here to have fun. To enjoy it. And everyone was here to make sure everyone else enjoyed it. It was not a mosh.

Though there likely was one, or several, somewhere.

But there was still a level of connection and... belief.

Incredible, beautiful.

Horrifying, in some ways.

If one really thought on it.

Horrifying that dozens of people, in a place so loud they cannot speak, the music and screams drowning out all, dozens, even hundreds, of people all deciding to dance together. Keeping a rhythm. Yet being aware. Being willing to, on a moments notice, stop, and stand, and guard. Wall off someone if they were sick, or hurt.

It was quite an emotional thing, being part of something bigger.

Something emergent.

Eliza danced harder.

Even The Dead Must Party Empty Re: Even The Dead Must Party

Naki would smile a bit as he examined this person a bit more as they got to his height level them lower. He'd listen to their "tip" and chuckled softly while yes he's been taking notes about the area and such he also had a way to get people to leave him be if they believed him. "Well, I wouldn't say just watching." He assured him as he reopened his notepad flicking through a few pages revealing a sketch of a few random people he made awhile ago but it matched some of the people that were there. When he took the pill from his pocket Naki eyes would squint slightly before turning down the one he was offering him. Naki wasn't a drug user and he wasn't gonna change that anytime soon especially if it meant he was gonna join the popular kids. He just wasn't the type to do it though this person offering him one made him wonder what he was thinking about.

When he asked him for his name he'd shrugged his shoulders a bit. "Name is Raijin, but most call me Naki. Feel free to use either or Eli." He said with a soft smirk on his face then when he brought up that someone caught his eye he would chuckle a bit before standing up. They shared similar chakra so maybe it's a clone trying to have fun as Naki never met a twin before so this was gonna be an experience. "You know what. Sure, let's go meet them." He told him as he adjusted his hair and began walking towards the dance floor. It didn't take long for him follow the rhythm towards the beat and mesh well with the others showing Elijah that Naki could dance.

Even The Dead Must Party Empty Re: Even The Dead Must Party

Mon Oct 24, 2022 9:36 pm
"Ooh, so you're drawing half naked people without them knowing!"

He looked at the drawings a little more closely, though, and whistled. He whistled fairly loudly, so there was a good chance he was heard over the hubbub of the stuff around, but still. "You've been here long enough to draw all those? Damn, how are you not AT LEAST drunk by now?"

"Naki, eh?" was all Elijah had to say about the name. He wanted to ask about the story behind a name so different from his actual name. But sometimes, a puzzle was worth more than the solution. He would by trying to piece it together the rest of the night.

And playing a little game to never let Raijin catch on.

"And Eli, ooh, that's a choice." If questioned about that, Elijah would simply respond "You'll get it if you get it. And if it don't come up, it don't come up."

And then Naki. Said. Sure. Oh, this had so much option for spice. And a THEM, too! Naki was being secretive or uncertain.

Both of those promised to be spicy unto themselves!

Elijah would step out of the way as Naki drew forwards into the surging mass of bodies, easily hopping into the dance and rhythm. Elijah shrugged as he walked forwards, using the shear energy of confidence and swagger to create enough of a path to easily walk through.

At one point, someone bumped into him. He gave the poor chap a piercing stare, standing totally still. It was like he'd turned the guy to stone, until finally he stepped away, and, fear on his face, turned around to disappear into the crowd.

Even The Dead Must Party Empty Re: Even The Dead Must Party

Naki would chuckle to himself as he maneuvered around the dancing people. "Hey, what can I say, if I see something that inspires me I have to draw it. Even if it's half naked people you can be inspired at anytime." He said as another valid point was brought up about him being there and not being drunk though he wasn't actually there that long so he had to come up with something and quick. Luckily it wasn't something insane as he simply shrugged his shoulders.  "Guess I'm not much of a drinker. I prefer to be more sober than anything to enjoy the fun." He told him as he hears him speak on the name he decided to call him. Though he doesn't get it but he wasn't gonna say that he would rather let Elijah believe whatever it is he thinking about. As he walked forward he would look around before noticing the glare that he was giving this poor guy.

If looks could kill that guy would be a pile of ash from how hard he was being stared at. Naki was about to reach out to get Elijah's attention but he would notice that he was closer to that other signature. As the music shifted so did Naki movements he seemed to enjoy this kind of music a bit more than before. He almost didn't realize that he was dancing next to the other signature and, of course, the twin. He would notice her as they were almost at eye level with him being an inch taller than her. She seemed to be having a blast and not really looking to plan anything but for some reason speaking to her in this moment wasn't exactly going through his head, all that he was thinking about was, and once again of course, drawing her having the time of her life. He would quickly start to dance again trying to slide his way from the floor in process. He needed to gather himself as he wasn't expecting to see someone like that there.

Even The Dead Must Party Empty Re: Even The Dead Must Party

Thu Oct 27, 2022 9:19 pm
Eliza enjoyed the dance. The twists, the twirls. Throwing legs out, arms flailing yet controlled.

Contact was common. Sometime purposeful, but often an accident. An arm going to where the owner did not realize a person stood.

Eliza was used to the feeling of small bumps, small prods.

This... this was different.

This was a hand at her waist.

A quick hit is one thing. But this lasted, even in the dance.

There were many ways to react. Here? Now? Could ignore it and keep dancing. Could acknowledge and dance with it.

Could look to the person and decide afterwards.

But there was something else to the touch. Something... confident.

And, while she was still dancing, barely even having had a chance to think about the hand, the sensation changed. Not one of being grabbed, nor one of pain, or joy, or really any of the other common feelings or emotions.

It was a sensation Eliza knew, but had no idea how to even begin explaining it to another beyond "I just know".

It was the feeling of a hand that was on her waist reaching under her skin, dissolving into her body. It was a signal, usable only by the two of them, brother and sister.

And then it was over, as quick as it started.

Something small, fast and short. Hidden.

If it were danger, Elijah would have been more upfront about it.

Perhaps he wanted help with one of his 'games'.

Sure, she could help.

Eventually.

Right now, she was having fun partying.

He could handle the devious bullshit later.

By the time she turned around, all she could see was him walking away. While she had no idea of this, he was following Naki, back out of the dancing crowd.

"So. What'd ya think?"
