The Culling Games: Ninth Match

The Rules are as followed:

1. There will be no killing of your opponent unless permitted by Lord Aokidanza, there is a safety mechanism in place in the arena that will protect from fatal blows should it come to that. This will be made clear by an audio bell and red flare being shot off the defeated and the Chakra Suppression System activating.

2. The Win Conditions are Knock out or Surrender.

3. Each Participant will have 48 hours to reply to keep in line with the standard Combat rules on site.

Tenshi's Stats:

Tenshi promptly entered the Inferno Arena when his name was called out. He had been full of adrenaline as he awaited his turn following his extremely short match prior. Not only did he simply want to get out there and showcase what he was capable of, but the Uchiha was looking forward to finally having a proper bought against his friend, Himari. The girl was young, but he knew that she was a monster of a Shinobi when she needed to be. This was not going to be an easy battle, one wrong move and he knew he would be done for. He activated his Three Tomoe Sharingan as soon as he took his place 15m away from the centre of the arena. Turning to face where Himari was expected to position herself for the start of the battle, the Uchiha stopped moving entirely, using the time he had to begin drawing in Nature Energy. He had also entered the battle with 4 Sand Charges on hand, ready to use them at a moment's notice.

The time to determine the strongest member of Team 212 was on hand, who would prevail? Uchiha or Hyuuga?

Meanwhile, from the opposing side of the arena grounds…


“Gotta go, gotta go, gotta go, gotta go!”

A spry, ravenette kunoichi murmurs to herself as she bolts toward the Inferno Arena’s grounds. She's running late for her match against Tenshi Uchiha, which felt like, considering the time between the start of the ninth matchup and her recent eighth match against Jiro, there was little downtime for her to reflect over her success in the prior fight.

Nevertheless, with how much time has passed already, any more would certainly earn her an earful from her mother, Nozomi, and the last thing she wants is to disappoint her for being a no-show after all the effort she put in getting here. She'd been training non-stop for years just to get this chance to prove herself as a ninja.

She pushes herself even harder, dashing through the arena halls until she reaches the door leading out to the arena's grounds. She takes a moment to catch her breath before opening the door and walking onto the field. She looks up at the large stadium to see that the match is about to begin.

The crowd cheers as she enters the arena. Himari dusts herself off and jogs forward to meet her opponent and stands 10 meters from the epicenter of the arena (approximately 25 meters from Tenshi standing in opposition). "Sorry I'm late!" She hollers and waves to her teammate. "Let's do our best like always and make Onabi-sensei proud!"

She then performs the Seal of Confrontation with her left hand toward him, thereafter, the corners of Himari's eyes will immediately bulge outward and her irises become semi-defined. She assumes her clan's traditional fighting stance: a relaxed and focused posture with her legs slightly apart—her right leg front-facing and her left leg back-facing—and her arms held in a guard position, with the hands open and fingers extended. She awaits the buzzer to go off to commence the skirmish with her eyes trained on Tenshi’s waist, careful not to subject herself to the unknown potential of his ocular abilities.




When it does go off, the Hyūga kunoichi’s irises transfigure into an iridescent blue hue as she is flooded with renewed agility and strength (+60 Speed/Strength).

She bolts toward him at 230 Speed in a straight line, intending to travel toward the middle of the Arena where she will position herself 15 meters away from him to finalize her opening tactic. After traversing 5 meters (20 meters from Tenshi standing in opposition), she executes her second Jutsu, hand sealless, and instantly spawns a dome of gravitational energy 3 meters from Tenshi toward his right-side and expands at 80 Jutsu Speed with the same Power.

Meanwhile, with her left hand, she performs the following hand seals at 250 Speed: Rat → Ram → Boar, and delays her final hand seal (→ Snake) until she traverses another 5 meters until she arrives at the epicenter of the arena (15 meters from Tenshi standing in opposition). Then, toward Tenshi’s left-side, 5 meters away, she executes the final hand seal and spawns a blue-tinted, distorted sphere of chakra and expands at 65 Jutsu Speed with the same Power. Should he find himself caught within the Jutsu’s zone, he will be subject to stat debuffs against his Vigor and Strength (-30/-30, respectively).

While traveling the 10-meter distance, she clenches her right hand and, at 230 Jutsu Speed, envelops both her hands in a shroud of chakra that takes the form of large guardian lion heads with a distinct blue hue. These lion-shaped constructs have a diameter of approximately 5 meters each and are visible to the naked eye, possessing 250 Jutsu Power. With only 15 meters separate between herself and her adversary, she assumes the Hung Gar “Horse” stance and with her palms open, thrusts them forward toward Tenshi. A wave of compressed air—appearing as a softly blurred space to the naked eye, although fully visible with chakra vision and sensed with chakra sensory—barrels toward him at 230 Jutsu Speed and 250 Jutsu Power.

Afterward, Himari reverts back to her original fighting stance and observes Tenshi’s next course of action while her enhanced vision focuses at his waistline, but keeps everything else within her peripheral vision.


Passively accumulating 2 Heavenly Body Stacks (2/10)

Battle Stats:

It appeared that his young team mate was not going to be wasting any time, so Tenshi decided he would be doing the same. The moment the fight began and Himari's eyes changed, so did Tenshi's for the second time. He revealed to Himari, and all those in attendance, his Mangekyo Sharingan. Their unnatural spiralling patterns glowing brightly. As the match officially began, Tenshi used his Nature Energy stack to activate his Pure Sage Mode, black markings matching the design of his Mangekyo Sharingan quickly formed over his body and he gained +90 to his Vigor and Strength.

As Himari bolted towards him and performed several actions, one with her left, one with her right, and one without the need for either, Tenshi acted with just as many moves of his own. While Himari began her 5m advance and performed hand seals with her left hand, she would find a 10m wide/high/deep spawn from the ground 5m to her left side. Tenshi had expended 2 of his Sand Charges to activate Mineral Sand Coffin, the centre point of the technique being 5m to the left of 2.5m in front of Himari's starting location. This would require no hand seals, and would move with a Speed of 250 directly from her left side to her right, with an accompanying Power of 240. If Himari continued to perform her left handed seals, the wave would smash up against her, causing 240 damage and begin covering her body, starting from her left leg and then up her left arm. Tenshi would not wait for her to be completely covered, instead he would perform a crushing motion with his hand the moment it covered the arm and leg, activating the Sand Coffin's ability: Sand Waterfall Funeral. If caught, the bones within both limbs mentioned would be crushed, rendering them immobile permanently until a Medical Jutsu of equal or higher Power was used to rectify this. If he found that Himari was about to use her fists to destroy the sand before it reached her left arm, he would activate the Waterfall Funeral earlier to ensure that he at least crushed her left leg.

At the same time, Tenshi would activate the Jutsu Reduction Zone seal that was placed on his body. With a Power and Speed of 190, the technique would expand from his left bicep to a maximum range of 25m radius. If she continued with her mentioned actions, it would debuff Himari's Gentle Step: Twin Lion Fists upon reaching her, forcing it to lose 50 Power for the remainder of its duration, as well as the Power of any technique that would use its stats. If Himari did not continue with creating her Lion Fists, he would not use the debuff effect, instead observing to see if another technique was worthy of his debuff.

The third technique that Tenshi used simultaneously was his terrifying Wood Human. A massive Golem would emerge from the ground to the right of Tenshi with a Power, Speed and Health of 240. He would rise up on its left hip, raising him 10m from the ground as it moved him an additional 5m to the left, out of the range of Himari's Singularity. While the Golem rose, it would use its left arm to swipe along the ground with a reach of 25m at maximum Speed. At the same time, its right fist would strike forward, clashing with her debuffed strike or herself if Himari was unable to avoid. If Himari was hit by the Golem, she would take 240 damage.

Following his actions, Tenshi would observe Himari's next moves with his Mangekyo Sharingan, on the lookout for anything that she may do.

Combat Stuff:

During her stride, Himari—with the aid of her Byakugan—notices a mass of chakra building up 5 meters ahead from her starting position towards her left 2.5 meters away. It moves with an incredible 250 Jutsu Speed in order to intercept her left-hand side at the aforementioned meter mark. Simultaneously, a wave of chakra originating from Tenshi’s person expels and travels toward her at 190 Jutsu Speed. Moreover, there’s a thunderous rumble as Tenshi proceeds to summon a construct with a menacing stature from the earth below him at 240 Jutsu Speed, to which he would rise up to its hip 10 meters from the ground.

“This is great!” She thinks. “I’ll have to keep up with all these cool Jutsu Tenshi’s throwing around. I’ll try and give him a little something to work with, then, too!” Undeterred by the change of events, she adjusts her plans and continues en route to, instead, close the distance further in until she’s within 5 meters of her target. But first, she must address the heaping conglomerate of sand that threatens to T-bone the young Hyūga.

Still weaving the corresponding hand seals at 250 Speed: Rat → Ram → Boar, and delaying her final hand seal (→ Snake) until she covers the next 5 meters and arrives at the epicenter of the arena, she waits until the barreling wave of sand is within 0.5 meters (now 23 meters from Tenshi standing in opposition) of her person before executing her very first Jutsu to clash against it.

Starting 1 cm from her entire body, she channels all 361 charka nodes throughout her body and releases them all at once in a huge, chakra-induced, concussive explosion—visible to those who can see chakra, invisible to those who cannot but can be sensed with chakra sensory—that follows her person and expands upwards of 20 meters in radius at 230 Jutsu Speed and 250 Jutsu Power. She will attempt to clash this Jutsu against the sand conglomerate to hopefully dispel the latter and carry on with her remaining 18 meter dash.

Regarding the oncoming chakra zone, Himari recognizes the chakra field approaching her, and while, ideally, it would be wise to not subject herself to whatever adverse effects it may subdue her with, she knows she’s at her best when she’s within close-range of her opponent. Thus, she allows the wave of chakra to consume her and feels the strength of her rapidly materializing Twin Lion Fists dampen as a result (-50 Jutsu Power). Nevertheless, she presses on. Thereafter, should Himari reach the 20 meter mark, she will proceed to spawn her second Jutsu and create a dome of gravitational energy 5 meters from Tenshi toward his right-side and expands at 80 Jutsu Speed and 80 Jutsu Power, as intended.

However, because of the growing 20-meter range from her Body Blow Jutsu, by the time she crosses the remaining 3 meters that separates the technique and Tenshi, it would also be within reach of the latter (Himari would be 20 meters from Tenshi). Should Tenshi and his formulating Jutsu Construct be within range of her technique during her travel, both will suffer an instance of 250 Jutsu Damage upon entering the field. Under the circumstance the Construct formulates before both opponents’ entry and proceeds to strike at her, said Construct will have to contest against her dome with its Power or Health by being equal to or greater than her Body Flow’s 250 Jutsu Power.

Should Himari continue for another 5 meters and reach the 15 meter mark successfully, she will continue on her war path and finalize her last hand seal and spawn her third Jutsu 5 meters from Tenshi toward his right-side as a blue-tinted, distorted sphere of chakra expands at 65 Jutsu Speed and 65 Jutsu Power. Should Tenshi commit to his course of action and either move within the field itself 5 meters inward or remain within the Jutsu’s zone, he will be subject to stat debuffs against his Vigor and Strength (-30/-30, respectively). Afterward, she will continue moving another 10 meters so he's within 5 meters of her reach unless something else happens to impedes her impending conquest.

If by this point Tenshi is not brought down to ground level as a result of the differential Jutsu Power between her Body Blow and his Jutsu Construct, she will attempt to close the gap by jumping 10 meters into the air at her Speed of 230 and strike Tenshi against his torso with her Twin Lion Fists for 200 Jutsu Damage when she's within melee range. Otherwise, if Tenshi is brought down to ground level as a result of the differential Jutsu Power mentioned previously, she will, instead, lunge at him after crossing another 3 meters (2 meters from Tenshi) to strike at his torso for 200 Jutsu Damage, taking advantage of her Twin Lions' radial striking distance of 2.5 meter.

In either instance, she remains vigilant and observes Tenshi’s next series of actions while her enhanced vision remains focused at his waistline with everything else kept within her peripheral vision.


Passively accumulating 2 Heavenly Body Stacks (4/10)

Battle Stats:

Tenshi gasped out loud as clasped his hands over both eyes. The activation of his Mangekyo Sharingan had caused him tremendous pain, something he had not experienced before. This resulted in all of his active techniques dropping and distracted him long enough for Himari's own abilities to connect with him, knocking the Uchiha out.

Hours later, Tenshi would groan as he woke up in the comfort of his own bed. "I think I should take some time off..."
