Going for Genin

As Makussu walked through the halls of the academy, he couldn’t help but give an involuntary shudder. “This is it,” he muttered to himself as he waited outside the door that led into the classroom. “Today is the day I become Genin.” He took a few short breaths to calm himself. There really was no good reason to overreact after all, he had learned the jutsus required, and then some. He smiled slightly at that fact as he waited for the proctor to show up so he could get started.

The proctor walked in looking plain and dull looking at his list he called out a name "Makussu Koutaishi." he awaited the boys approach before continuing on. "Perform the Bunshin, Henge and Substitution Technique and you pass...Fail to do so will result in you no longer being eligible to be a ninja any longer." He said with no remorse.

Makussu approached the proctor when called and mentally gulped at the proctors short dialogue and despite his earlier preparations he felt a bit of his nerves start to affect him. Shaking them off, he made a mental checklist of the jutsu he needed to prove his competence in. The Clone jutsu, The Substitution jutsu and the Transformation jutsu. All were simple, but the slightest lapse in conversation could result in a fail and his inability to become a ninja for all time.That was definitely something he couldn’t let happen. He began the first steps of the clone jutsu, reminiscing slightly at the memories of learning it, starting the process. He sent chakra to his arm, then imaged himself in his minds eye, paying attention to every tiny detail. He sent chakra to his arms and hands and then envisioned himself in his minds eye, paying attention to every detail. The color of his white and black shirt, the light tone of his brown pants. The bandages that enwrapped his left arm and lower right thigh along with his slightly pale skin, along with the depth of his chocolate brown eyes. The slight tousling of his hair from anxiously scratching it while waiting for his proctor in the hallway. The small cuts on his legs from branches while tree climbing.Even the small almost unnoticeable scab he had gotten on his lower leg from scratching a mosquito bite the other day. He included it all in his vision and performed the hand seals yelling out the name of the technique. "Clone Jutsu!,"he said, as a poof of smoke erupted next to him, holding his breath until the smoke had vanished completely so he wouldn't ruin his composure by coughing up a storm from smoke inhalation. Standing next to him was a perfect clone, with not a single difference to his solid twin next to him. Making sure that the Proctor had seen the successful clone he dispelled the clone with another poof of smoke and checked it off of his mental checklist. He then started on the Transformation Jutsu. He sent chakra into his arms once more and envisioned the haughty civilian he had used the One Thousand Years of Death on a while ago, a momentary smirk playing itself across his face at the funny memory of the egoistic boy flying through the air. Remembering the boy's appearance he took in the horrible looking neon green shirt with yellow floral print, along with the boys brown pants. Remembering the boys hulking figure he added in his internal vision the taller boy's height along with his broadened shoulders, also thankfully remembering the boys tanned skin. His eyes that had seemed to hold a malicious glint that spoke of the boys supposed superiority to all other people along with the various gold jewelry he had adorned across his body to signify his wealth, or at least his fathers. Perhaps he was pushing it with the adorning because he hadn't had that much on him, but it was like the the proctor knew him as the clothes he had worn were not typical Konoha fashion and he really wanted to stretch the whole rich kid idea of the boy's look. Believing he had added enough into his mental vision he flew through the hand seals and yelled out, "Transformation Jutsu!" and was concealed in smoke. When the smoke cleared he looked down to see the horrible fashion statement of a shirt, along with his now tanned skin and golden jewelry which encircled his wrists. Looking up to check the proctor to see if he was looking, which he still was, he dispelled the illusion and began his final jutsu. This is it, he thought. This is the last obstacle that impeded him from becoming Genin. Putting on a determined face and mentally assuring himself of his victory, he sent chakra to his hands, performed the hand seals and sealed his exam with a shout. "Substitution Jutsu!,"he yelled, as he felt a slight tug and and rush of wind, finding himself standing next to the proctor, the great and powerful Log floating a few feet above the floor where he was standing before falling with a mighty crash onto the hard wooden floors. As if the world was adding significance to the Log's glorious entrance, the clouds parted slightly to let a golden beam of light hit the log just briefly as if it were a natural spotlight as though to accentuate the over dramatic entrance. Makussu gave it a small and almost unnoticeable bow to the tree trunk before it dispelled to who knows where with a small poof of white smoke.Smiling, he looked towards his proctor for confirmation of his passing, once again schooling his face in order to show no emotion towards his results, despite the effect it would have on his career path.

Makussu couldn't help but cheer out loud as the proctor announced his passing. Taking the headband from the proctor he reverently tied it across his forehead, leaving the building. Today marked the start of his career. He was a true ninja now, and nothing was going to stop him!
