On the move

Youka was already slowly walking towards the end of Yuki's borders, his steps were slow but determined ad straight with no wavering as the snow buffeted his body embracing him and calling for him to topple and become one with the ground beneath. He was in his normal battle attire that he honestly never took of anymore, his black armor even gleamed in this winter wonderland providing a awkward picture to see all of this white and then one blot of darkness who's presence took away from the much larger picture. The mantle on his back ripped back and forth in the wind and the hood clung tightly to his head whee his ruffled red hair stayed in one place. His demons mask provided him the cover he needed from the cold reaching his face.

He was to meet Maku, and Echo here after they were done prepping to leave to do whatever it was that Echo needed done, Youka didn't particularly care what it was, only that it involved death and destruction. His other half didn't seem to mind that either as he brooded in the background of Youka's head contemplating his escape.

"Don't think of anything, these new eyes give me a lot more of control over you, I won't let you take over again."

"You say that now, and just like last time, I'll break you and finish of Maku, this time without that foolish fox getting in my way. I might even get to try a piece of Echo before I intended to."

Youka smiled under his mask at their exchange, while he was still worried that he might escape again one day, he couldn't let that weigh him down as he performed at the best of his abilities for the man who had hired them and done a lot for him as well.

Maku made his way into the boarders. His white robe fluttering in the wind. He had chosen not to wear his nice suit today and instead, his actual ninja garb. It would be a long white cloak, and robe with a red sash. Hanging from the sash, the scepter of Yukigakure hung. It was a long golden rod with a giant blue orb on the end. Slung on his back were all his supplies. Walking, he opened his chakra senses and found Youka. He made his way to his friend, and noticed that it looked like he was in deep conversation with an evergreen tree. Walking to stand next to the man he offered the simple greeting of "Yo, whats uo?"

Looking around he wouldn't see anyone else around, just them out there. He also hadn't picked up anyone on his chakra senses either. Looking around, he would sit his pack down, and stretch. He wasn't sure how long it would take for Echo to arrive. "Well, would you like to do a little work out? Not sure when the boss man is going to get here, so might as well not waste time aye." From there he would wait, and see what his friend would say and want to do.

Maku arrived only moments after Youka had finished his conversation with the demon inside his mind, and Youka was grateful for such a thing, he didn't want it to get out that he had started communicating with that piece of destruction again. Turning on his right foot as he heard Maku approach and speak up Youka looked at his long time friend through his mask and smiled before nodding in his direction.

"Nothing, I just got here moments ago and decided to wait for you and Echo to arrive so we could set out together to where ever it was we are headed."

There was a brief silence in between Make rearranging his pack to be on the ground and him performing a few stretches. While Maku was doing his normal he asked if Youka would like to partake in a little workout while they waited to pass the time. Youka nodded his head once in a affirmative way before speaking changing from a strict position to that of a more relaxed vibe.

"Of course, you know I'm always ready for some training."

"very well, lets have a little spar. But since we don't need to actually hurt eachother lets just make it a little bit more simple. First one to knock the other one over wins. How does that sound?" He would wait and see if Youka consented to the little game that he had concocted. If he consented, then Maku would begin skipping backwards, to give them some distance. The day was a regular one for the land of snow. Cold, but not overly so, with a small flurry of easy snowflakes showering over them. The sun even peaked its head out every now and then.

Maku would be approx. 20 meters from his friend, and draw out his scepter. He would tap it on his shoulder, with his head cocked to one side. "SO whenever your ready I am buddy, see who can keep their feet the longest aye. Hopefully Echo will arrive before you fall on your butt." He would say with a chuckle. He was of course joking, and was merely excited to play the game he had made. It should be a blast after all. Maku wasn't sure who would win, after all to knock him over he would have to be close to him. That was of course directly agaisnt Maku's normal battle strategy, but whatever sometimes you had to do things you didn't want to do.

"A spar, where the winner is decided by who can get the other to sit on the ground first. Sounds fun, also sounds like a win for me friend, we both know I'm the more practical close range fighter, but if this is what you want, I'm happy to claim the win."

Youka would watch as Maku made his way off into the distance to give them both room to operate in which was well founded and needed for how their spars usually began and ended. Youka would take a side ways stance looking at his friend over his left shoulder calculating his distance and his viable means of closing that distance without incident. He noted the scepter in Maku's hands and didn't know if his friend intended to use it as a weapon or not but whatever the case this would be more interesting than usual with the involvement of their new abilities.

"What fun is a spar without hurting one another, you should try to take off his arm."

"Shut up."

Youka wasn't a long range fighter and he knew it would be him that needed to get in close before the laser beams started to fly and genjutsu upon genjutsu were used as Maku flickered in and out of reality. Lifting up his left leg he lightly began tapping it on the ground beneath him in rapid succession before starting to jump lightly off the ground barely leaving it only going up one to two inches off the ground.

On his final jump if Maku hadn't moved yet to make a move Youka would have appeared to disappear in front of Maku's eyes. During his last decent he would have vitalized his legs with his shunshin pushing his body to further speeds (190). With the ending of his jutsu he would be skirting towards Maku with the distance at one meter, he would be sliding into a clothesline that if connected Youka would carry Maku by the neck down towards the ground at a violent force but just enough to follow through and not damage too badly.

Maku's eyes would activate to sharingan level as Youka started to jump.  He had come to really enjoy these eyes, and used them whenever he could.  They would only be the 3 tomoe level, not wanting to take it up any more to prevent any damage that might occur to his eyes.  He would drop his left arm holding the scepter to his side.  As Youka landed, he began running at quite an impressive speed towards Maku.  Without his eyes, he may not have been able to witness the movement.  Youka began to get really close.  I mean like really close.  Just as his hand was about to grab hold of Maku, he would seemingly vanish.  

Of course, this was his mastered blink jutsu.  He would appear walking forward 20 meters from where he had just been.  Taking a couple more steps and making a single hand seal to create a shadow clone. Appearing on his right each one meter from him , and turned on his heals all as Youka would end his slide.  "Almost got me I suppose, but you really need to be a bit quicker."  With that, the shadow clones would begin running towards Youka at 55 speed.  Leaving the real Maku behind.  Maku would be watching closely, for what Youka would do to respond.  He was ready for about anything, well at least he likes to think so.

Should the shadow clone make it to Youka, it would begin trying to taijutsu fight the better opponent.  While Youka was of course much much stronger, the one thing the clone would have his speed.  Twisting and turning his body at 110 speed, he would also through a flurry of rabbit punches and kicks at 110 speed as well should he be allowed to get that close.

Youka frowned under his mask at the ability that Maku used that he knew was coming, he couldn't grab on to the warping ninja in time to jump with him as he had done last time. As Maku had re entered this reality he summoned forth a clone to commence the attack on Youka. It was slow moving closing in on Youka at a speed barely moving in his eyes. Should he engage the clone or go directly for the real Maku, or was this clone the real Maku, he didn't know nor care it was just time to attack.

"Go for the one in the distance, that's more than likely the real one"

"I know, I know, stop talking"

Youka started running to meet the the fighter head on thinking of ways to quickly disengage this distraction or immobilize if it was the real Maku. They were sparring but at the same time they had to be ready for anything and as such Youka took every practice match as life and death and enjoyed watching his partners spar in that manner as if their lives were on the line. Performing his own hand seals as he neared the clone a poof of smoke would reveal another Youka in the same garb running next to him. Crushing the snow underneath their boots as they reached 3 meters from the coming clone they began crisscrossing between each other as to confuse which was the real and which was the fake before engaging in combat.

Once taijutsu range was met Youka split off from the clone as he continued his rush towards Maku in the distance. The two clones would engage in their normal taijutsu combat while Maku's clone was faster in the aspect of speed Youka's clone was better at all around fighting aspects and could discern where and how the attacks were coming easily deflecting and blocking them on reaction speed but not having enough room to launch a fancy counter attack.

As Youka reached four meters of distance between himself and Maku he stretched out his right arm launching threads from his palm, their motive was to wrap around Maku's left arm and pull him inwards throwing him off balance in a forward lunge. If this was successful Youka would launch a left straight at Maku's face to connect with his forehead. With the conflicting momentum's of Youka going forward and Maku going forward it would stop Youka's forward movement in the snow causing all friction and inertia to stop in an abrupt crash of powdery white snow.

Watching Youka begin to run up on him, his sharingan detected the obvious movements of some intended hand seals.  Silly Youka, didn't he know that Maku hated to have jutsu used against him.  Seriously it pissed him off, why couldn't people just not fight back and lose like they were supposed to.  

"that would be a fun game, like cat and mouse where the mouse has no legs.  HHAHAHA"  the voice said in his head.  It was an amusing image.  Just for a moment he pictured Youka trying to run towards him on his hands. That would be a sight.  Well, he could join the circus with that kind of skill. He was a ninja right so he should......wait was he not in the middle of a spar or something.  Sometimes his ADD got the better of him and he couldn't remember.

Anyway, as Youka was just about to use the ram hand seal a loud sound would be heard, it sounds like the song that's playing right now.  Youka would hear the music with no indication that it was coming, as it was the special ability of his scepter, he merely had to be holding it and think about a song and it would immediately begin playing it.  Pretty handy trick.  It also has absolutely zero visual aspects, so his sharingan would be useless in getting rid of it.  Instantly Youka would feel his almost subconscious connection with his chakra network be severed, and as the final hand seal would be made, nothing would happen.  (Genjutsu power=80).  The mind razer jutsu would do its job since Maku had activated it at a moment when there was no way to form a defense having it activate right before the second hand seal.  

Now this entire time, the clone would be running towards Youka, and with the run up he would be moving at 110 speed and since Youka had been running straight at him expecting his clone to work, it would assist in the clone getting into position.  Once it was within one meter of Youka, it would drop down to be under Youka's center of gravity, and then once it was within a foot, it would explode with 80 power and speed.  Its eyes would never leave Youka so even if he tried to destroy the clone before it could explode, with its reaction time of 220, it was confident it would explode the moment before any fatal contact could be made.  The low nature of the clone would attempt to send Youka into the air, leaving him suspended.  

Now, while the clone was running towards Youka, Maku's hands would not have been idle.  He would have made the seals before the clone ducked down, and have released the Phoenix fire jutsu as the clone exploded.  6 fireballs would move with 40 speed to be above Youka as he was suspended in the air, and they would also be hidden thanks to the smoke from the explosion.  They would all turn to impact each other causing an explosion 2 feet above Youka's midsection, whose resulting blast wave if left uninterrupted would send Youka very forcibly into the ground, back flat knocking the air out of his lungs.

Should all of this work, Maku would call out to his friend who might still be on his backside.  "Youka, you seem to have fallen and can't get up, do you need my assistance?"  The biggest grin he could have would be stretched across his face at this moment.

As Youka was running and forming his hand signs the demon began his move as well to make this fight longer and hopefully tire out his vessel. The demon would use Youka's earth grudge fear ability to covers Youka's ears with threads blocking out all sound. The entity did this knowing of Maku's ability to produce sound genjutsu while being ashamed of Youka for not taking this precaution earlier.

"I more than likely just saved you from losing I hope you know."

"....Thanks, I forgot..."

"How do you forget something like that?"

"Heat of the moment"

There was silence in his head, the demon shaking his head in his confined area. Youka's clone would still go on it's same course after being created to intersect with the other clone. Youka and his clone were on a collision course going directly for Maku as the apparition that he summoned did something...it flipping exploded...really Maku,....really...douche bag award of the year goes to Maku. In all seriousness though Youka took the explosion like a champ, It flung Youka  meters in the air from the sheer force of the blow and Youka's other clone went the opposite direction erupting into lightning energy. That wasn't what he had planned and now knew that Maku had exploding clones, which was nice to know.

As he sailed upwards Youka pointed both his hands towards the ground to launch threads into the snow to stop his upward momentum in time to see what Maku had done. Youka watched Maku intently to see what he was about to perform. As he watched the fireballs fly towards the sky Youka didn't allow them to reach their destination, retracting his threads to his body again Youka formed the ram hand seal  inhaling and exhaling a large and violent amount of water on the field in the direction of the fireballs and Maku. The water would take up fifty meters of space encompassing their entire battlefield in a matter of moments. The water would begin to build on top of it self till it was almost like fighting on top of an ocean. After the expanse had been covered and the waves ripped trees from the ground and washed away all the snow to show the green grass underneath in the water would begin to form into a bubble dome around the two of them and blocking out the fireballs. Youka held his breath and would wait to see how Maku handled this before enacting stage two of his plan.

Maku watched and witnessed Youka using a jutsu, which meant that his own genjutsu had not worked.  Reacting to this, two things happened.  Because of this, the clone changed tactics ever so slightly.  As it closed the gap, it made the tiger hand seal utilizing the bringer of darkness genjutsu.  Youka and his clones vision would be completely cut off as their world faded to black.  Just as this happened, the clone continued its original suicide mission and exploded, sending Youka spiraling like a champ.  As the clone flashed tiger, Maku flashed horse, and fired the great fire annihilation, which traveled at 80 speed and power.  So the fire would wash over Youka, approximately 1 second after the clone had exploded, due to the fire being launched at the same time the genjutsu was activated.  This would hopefully lead Youka to take a direct hit as he would be dissorientated from the explosion, and never be able to see the attack coming.

Maku knew that Youka was a powerful fighter, and a brilliant battlefield strategist.  However, he would be most impressed if he was capable of having the spatial awareness after being blinded to put up any defense to the incoming wall of fire that would wash over him.  Maku also hoped this would cause him to fall and hit the ground thus pronouncing him the winner.  However, Youka was always up to different tricks, so he very well might be able to put a stop to this technique as well.

Maku would wait after he had fired the jutsu, and see what happened to Youka.  Should he have somehow dodged he would have to respond in kind.  Should this tactic have worked, then he would yell out once again, seeing if his friend needed aid, and of course giving him a hard time for hitting the ground first.  Either way, Maku was alert and ready for anything.  One never knew who might show up in the boarders, and besides they were still waiting on Echo, who should have seen their theatrics at this point.
