Ayumi's Genin Exam

It was time! After long hours of studying and training, Ayumi was finally ready for the genin exam. This would be the first time she is taking the exam and she was confident she would pass. She stood there with Miroku {NPC} who helped her a lot in the last couple of days. As she saw the proctor come in, Ayumi wasn't as excited as she imagined she would be, the confidence must have taken away the stress off her.

A blonde haired man steps into the class room wearing the usual Chunin attire "Good morning class" The man says wih a smile on his face as he waits an answer from the class, if there is any. "As you all know today is your genin exams, in order to pass you will have to preform the clone jutsu, and the transformation jutsu. For those of you who pass you will become full fledged ninja! I wish you all the best of luck." The man says as he looks at the class full of eager minds. "Alright Ayumi Uzuki your first" The teacher says after looking toward his list of students.

As if she was indicating that she was only answering as a formality, with a low voice Ayumi responded with the rest of the class: "Good morning.", the man continued talking and said that they were supposed to perform Henge and Bunshin jutsus. She was glad to hear this, there was no surprise in the exam. Mizu Bunshin was very easy for her after those days near the river in the training ground, it came really natural to her. She was also confident with her Henge jutsu although it reminded her of the sad times in her training a week ago. The man said "Alright Ayumi Uzuki your first."

She expected going first as her first name Ayumi was at the top of the class in alphabetical order. She was fine with it since going first didn't mean anything when there was no surprise. She took two steps to the front and replied: "Ok sir, I will start with the clones". She knew the necessary condition was only creating one normal Bunshin but she wanted to show off after her efforts. It wasn't easy even for her to train 15 hours that day to master the water clones. If she wasn't going to show her talents here, where else would she?

She formed the tiger seal and calmly said "Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu!", the proctor didn't look too surprised of the water clones neither did her classmates. She wasn't the talkative type so she didn't have many friends in the academy but her classmates already had started to acknowledge her as a genin-to-be as they saw her training. The two clones quickly appeared to her left and to her right from the water she extracted from air. She would create upto 4 clones but she still had a transformation to pull off, so she decided not to push herself and start with 2 clones to keep some chakra. The clones looked identical to Ayumi, she was confident the proctor wouldn't find any flaws in her clones. The two clones and Ayumi all bowed in front of the proctor before she dispelled the jutsu making the clones vanish.

Ayumi next needed to do the transformation jutsu. She was prepared and was going to transform into Miroku if the proctor wouldn't ask otherwise. She turned her head back for a second, looked at Miroku, who smiled and made a gesture with her thumb up to give Ayumi more confidence. She would not be able to stand like this if Miroku wasn't there for her during Ayumi's depression. She smiled back at Miroku before she turned her head back at the proctor and formed the handseals dog, boar and ram quickly. "Henge no Jutsu!"

After the sudden poof, the smoke went away and Ayumi looked down to see if she was succesful with the body. "It looks fine I guess", she thought. Being the workaholic and the perfectionist she is, still couldn't be sure whether her transformation was good enough although she had practiced transforming into Miroku hundreds of times this last week. She wasn't able to look into a mirror either, all she could do now was to believe in her skill. The proctor looked at Ayumi's transformation and shook his head to the sides as he realized it is one of the students behind her.

"You're supposed to transform into the proctor, please do it again.", Ayumi got nervous when she heard this. She knew a genin should be able to use this jutsu on anyone in any condition but she wasn't sure if she could use it for someone she saw for the first time. "Alright", she replied not so calmly this time. She was thinking about how embarassing and frustrating it would be to fail at this moment especially after showing off like that. She focused on the guy's face and tried to block out the sound coming from the students behind her. She formed the seals again, this time slowly: Dog, Boar, Ram, "Henge no Jutsu! *poof*"

She was much taller when she opened her eyes, she was on the proctor's height when he was siitting so the huge height increase was predictable. Ayumi quickly glanced at her body, it seemed pretty identical. The proctor also had a smile on his face now for the first time since he entered. She couldn't understand whether it was because she seemed nothing like him or because of a good transformation. Ayumi's heart was beating harder and faster, the class was silent and she didn't have a clue how well she did with the face. She really wanted to look back and get an approval from Miroku but thought it would look bad in the proctor's eyes. She felt like a year passed until he responded to her performance. Did she make it? After all that training was she finally... a genin?

"Good job miss Uzuki, you may take your headband" The proctor says while gesturing toward a table with some headbands on it.
