Task: You do not need a weaponry specialty to use weapons and armor in general as a ninja. Equipment can assist any ninja to enhance how they complete missions, whether combat is involved or not. From kunai to katanas, there is a wide variety of weapons that are available out in the world for you to use to further express yourself.

For this mission, you will need to stop by a local equipment shop and explore some of the options you have available as a ninja that you may choose in the future. All new ninjas should be aware of the different options they could use, whether up close or from afar.

Each village most likely has a shop which you could examine and perhaps try out weapons and armor you may want to use in the future. All weapons and armor for this mission are simply for testing and will dissipate when leaving the store unless purchased through the normal means.

Nix woke up with a swirl of emotions that mingled in her mind, making her excited and apprehensive about the day ahead. To start the day on a positive note, she prepared herself a delicious sandwich filled with her favourite ingredients and poured herself a tall glass of fresh orange juice, which she savoured sip by sip. Once she had finished her breakfast, she exited her cozy home and stepped into the bright sunshine that greeted her outside. With a sense of purpose, she walked briskly towards the local store, eager to complete the errands she had planned for the day. Her vibrant, fiery red hair rendered her expressions easily discernible; the colour contrasted sharply against her fair complexion. Upon entering, Nix noticed a spectacular collection of antiquated weapons—laudably razor-sharp and rust-free. As she entered the store, the middle-aged owner welcomed her kindly, albeit distractedly. His hands were rough and calloused, perhaps from years of hard work. He greeted her warmly with a smile and exchanged a few friendly pleasantries, making her feel at ease and comfortable in the humble surroundings of the store.

While strolling around the store, Nix reminisced about her previous encounter with training irons and the physical discomfort she had experienced from holding them at or above shoulder height for long days. She vividly remembered how her hands had blistered from gripping the iron, and her muscles had ached from the training implement weight. Therefore, as she browsed through the stocked armour, she was looking for something that would be adequate for the untrained and inexperienced while also being more protective and comfortable to use. However, Nix knew that any armour that provided better protection would require significant effort in its maintenance, which she would have to consider before making a purchase.

Nix noticed the varnished timber of a giant marionette sitting in the corner of the room, intricately carved and augmented to support mechanical mechanisms. Upon further inspection, Nix noticed the puppet had various cogs, springs, weapons, and complex moving objects imbued into its frame. Nix critically assessed the many brave mechanisms that the frail construct supported. Repairs and maintenance would be expensive, and she prioritised quality in the versatility of compatible moving parts when comparing each mechanism's distinct advantages. However, she quickly realised the finances to purchase such a uniquely complex device would be within reach after becoming a Genin. The merchant allowed her to inspect the contraptions, but as they required chakra strings to manipulate, Nix could only look.

Nix walked out of the store, her mind brimming with avaricious notions of discontent. She couldn't help but imagine the range of weaponry and armour at her disposal in the future. The store had been a treasure trove of possibilities, and she couldn't wait to explore them all. As Nix stepped out into the sunlight, she felt less discontent. Her diligence had found a worthy task for today, and she was ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead. The upcoming Genin Exams were approaching fast, and Nix felt somewhat unprepared; she needed extra effort and hard work to ensure she was well-equipped to tackle the challenges the exams may bring.
