Anastasia woke up in the morning to troubling news; there was a mission report on the table addressed to her regarding poachers in the wildlife preserve. Her task for the day would be to deal with them. It would be a two person-squad that went to deal with this, consisting of her and Marabelle Blossom. Marabelle was a vagabond that arrived in the village recently and had joined her on a mission to locate a missing merchant. They worked well together and the Akari Genin was looking forward to working with her again. It wasn’t uncommon for poachers to try their luck, but it almost was never anything serious. Anastasia wouldn’t let her guard down though; she would treat any such beings with extreme prejudice.

She would be going into this fully equipped with armour and Brightblinder, her new sword. Once she’d gotten ready, she made her way to the North gate, the closest of the villages gates to the wildlife preserve, to wait for her teammate.

Marabelle Statistics:

Waking up within Hoshigakure, Marabelle prepared for a rather dangerous day ahead of her. She had signed on to be a medic on a dangerous mission involving a Hunter-nin looking to take advantage of the Wild Life Reserve that was located adjacent to the village. Wearing her Kisatsutai Uniform the pink mirroring her normal attire. Her tanto was strapped to her left hip with her shinobi pouch affixed to her left flank while her katana rested on her back within arm's reach to draw should it become necessary. All the equipment had been stored in the attire the night before as she had gone to bed. Dressed and prepared though, she made her way out of her sister's residence within the village to make it on the way to the intended meeting point for her mission, the North Gate of Hoshigakure.

Her Vagabond headband was displayed proudly but she did not put on the armband she would normally wear in these situations. Marabelle recognized that signifying herself as a medic in a situation such as this was likely not something that would be wise. Recognizing Ana from her previous mission had already arrived, Marabelle waved at her as she approached the gate. Giving a light bow before the Hoshigakuran Shinobi, the vagabond would gesture forward as she watched the gates open up for the two, "Best of luck, and hopefully, my medical prowess will be minimally needed for this situation." She commented before the two properly entered the Reserve. The gate shifted from within the walls of Hoshigakure allowing the two kunoichi to proceed. As Anastasia moved forward, Marabelle followed behind her to allow the gates to be closed behind them once they both made it past the entry point. With the two officially entering the Tachibana Wildlife Reserve, it was just a matter of professional execution at that point to complete the mission set out before them, hunt the hunter.

Upon entry to the Reserve's proper grounds, the portion of the reserve they were present in had grass slightly up to their ankles as the footpath before them within the reserve was pattered cobblestones that stretched for roughly 200 meters before tapering to some trodden paths of dirt that took over from there. There were limited places to hide away in their present entry point. Still, presumably the poacher in question that needed to be captured, or removed from the equation, would likely have some method to remain hidden in such a place to avoid spooking the creatures they sought after. Marabelle stuck 5 meters behind Anastasia to keep a decent distance between the two to avoid potential attacks against the both of them. They maintained focus on their sensory capacity waiting for something to shift or alter within their range of 20 meters. She remained silent to wait to see what would transpire or occur, that way with Anastasia taking point there would be a good degree of communication for them if she spotted something before she did.

Battle Stats:

Her team mate didn’t take long to show up which she was grateful for. “It’s nice to see you again Marabelle,” she said to the Vagabond, “indeed, here’s hoping that if any medical ninjutsu is required, it’s not for either of us.” With that being said, the pair would leave the gate and move into the wildlife reserve.

They took their time moving forward, in case the poacher was hiding, waiting to ambush them. Either that, or the tip they’d received was no good. Turns out it was something else entirely; Anastasia received a message by carrier bird about a half hour into their entering the reserve. The note stated that the poacher had been seen leaving the area, likely had been made aware of what was going to happen and decided that leaving was better for their health than risking confrontation. The Akari Genin shrugged and turned to look at Marabelle. “Oh well, so much for the mission,” she would say ruefully. “Guess we’ll just head back into the village and continue on with our days.” Should Marabelle agree, Anastasia would turn around and head back to the village gates.

Once back inside the safety of the village proper, she would bid adieu to her comrade and head back home.
