The Kage Summit Empty The Kage Summit

Tue Aug 02, 2022 4:18 pm

Yurei

The snow here was delicate - soft. Light. Moving as if the world were airless. The shrill howl of wind was absent. Not even a gentle tug of the wind took hold of the falling powder - influenced its course to the undisturbed white blanketing the earth beneath Yurei’s feet. Time had seemed to freeze in all but the glitter around him. Ethereal. The Uchiha held out his hand, his porcelain-white skin bandaged in black that separated him from the rest of the world - the cold. And when that delicate snow fluttered into his grip, he could not feel it - not but the sound of its crunch within his clenching grasp.

Yurei’s hand fell to his side. His cold gaze shifted into focus, set only on his destination - the Kage Summit. His pale eyes peered through the awful visage he wore upon his face, still with a coolness not unlike the country he found himself in. For a moment, they flashed, and space-time shifted around him, swirling in an expelling vortex. Damon Uchiha. Yurei blinked, shifting his gaze to the man beside him, one who had accompanied him initially - Komon Hyuuga. “This is it, then?” he asked, confirming the answer he already knew. “The Gokage Summit.” It was pronounced - with venom from a forked tongue. His eyes then shifted to Damon, that cold stare boring into his brother.

Such history. One of cruelty. Of failure. Incompetence. Decades upon decades of stagnation. Sins laid bare before him. And a man from Kumogakure, one he met by chance all those years ago, was the key. Yurei drew his head downward, speaking to Komon behind him. His words escaped through the ghoulish mask’s gaping mouth. “Lead the way, Komon,” he instructed. The remote location of the Kage Summit was enough, and the neutral territory made trap or ambush unlikely. More convincingly, Yurei had felt nothing. No chakra. No life.

It was dead.

Yeah

The land of iron was a thing of beauty, filled with blankets of white powder like a childs snow globe, and equally as quiet. One would be forgiven for thinking it was a place of peace, but like Kumogakure, and Yukigakure before now Komon, had killed here as well. He thought back to blood spilling on the now undisturbed snow all those years ago. Had his actions been necessary then? Or had he simply caved to them out of fear.

The brothers had just gotten a seat at the table, had just taken the helm of their village and their first order of business had been to convene with the leaders of the world. So when the opportunity presented itself to make an impression. Komon had taken it. But did the man deserve to die? Komon couldn’t say for sure, the man’s views then didn’t seem too far off from the uchihas behind him now.

Although he didn’t feel as if he agreed with Yurei, he didn’t feel the need to stab him either.

This is it

He’d say stumbling into the grand halls of the summit. The last time he’d been here he’d been preoccupied with other matters, and hadn’t the time or interest in taking in the craftsmanship of the building. But looking at it now he couldn’t help but be impressed by the quality of its construction. The frozen climate had perfectly maintained the wood, not allowing it to rot,  and the halls had been chiseled with care. This place showed no signs of aging and he wondered if it ever would.

It didn’t take long for Komon to reach the main room, with the Uchiha duo presumably close behind. He paused as memories of the former world leaders and their guards walked about the room, Xyxer a particularly nasty Mizukage, commanding the attention he thought he deserved. Valen, the newly appointed leader of Hoshigakure, didn't know him well but Damon and Yurei’s accounts of him did not seem pleasant. The Hokage Risako, a mere puppet of its recent conqueror the Mizukage. His hand brushed the seat of the table closest to him, and his Brother Komori who’d finally reclaimed their home from the monsters before him.

They’d had such great plans for their village back then, he’d think to himself.

Where did it all go wrong?

He wasn’t sure, and he didn’t think he could ever be until he found the man with the answers. Until he found his brother.

The Kage Summit Empty Re: The Kage Summit

Grey:

The wind softly blew and moved his hair, a gentle breeze touched his skin as goosebumps covered his arms. However, the fresh air wasn't the only thing that excited him. The voyage had been smooth sailing, the Dreadnought passed its first test without any issue as the ship finished its course and the crew arrived in the Land of Iron. Without a single noise they quietly docked at the Eastern port of the country, not even disturbing the still waters of the ocean they crossed. Grey followed behind Auron as both men descended and exited, signaling Hoori to do the same.

Doing so, his boots touched the snowy ground underneath his feet, the cold temperature in sheer contrast with the warm climate in the Land of Fire. Finding himself in unfamiliar territory, Grey quickly activated his lilac eyes in order to scout the surrounding area. His Byakugan peered into the distance, granting him 360-degree vision within a hundred meters of his current position. "There" the Hyuuga spoke under his breath, yet loud enough for Auron and Hoori to hear, the necromancer and his fellow clansman respectively standing four and eight meters to his left. "It appears we're not alone" he voiced while simultaneously focusing to increase the range of his dojutsu, allowing him to see a mile in the direction he was looking.

Consequently, Grey explained the situation to his companions, not leaving out any details. "Two men, standing with their backs to us and close to each other". Their own group came to a conclusion, agreeing it would be in everyone's best interest to deal with the unknown party to avoid any hardships later down the line. Auron silently took on a regal form before turning himself invisible, a sign for the crew to make their move and head towards the location pointed out by the pale swordsman earlier. As they did, the three Kaizoku members arrived and came to a halt as soon as they were within 25 meters of the two targets.

The entire time he moved, Grey applied the skill he learned from Hoori, moving in complete silence, his footfalls ever so light. The Hyuuga showcased said ability as his armor and weapons remained silent as well, leaving nothing in the way of footprints, handprints, or even fingerprints, essentially becoming the perfect silent assassin. Standing directly behind a small wall, approximately one meter tall and ten meters wide, the three pirates were able to get a clear view of the targets, able to confirm that both of them were still having their backs turned towards Kaizoku and within two meters of one another. It was time to finally act, something Auron seemed to have realized as well.

At the same time the necromancer activated a technique of his own, Grey did as well, enhancing his body and pushing himself to the limit. He maintained his position close to Auron and Hoori, safely out of range of his companion’s technique. Taking a couple of steps so he no longer found himself behind the wall, the Hyuuga then unsheathed his sword, channeling and concentrating chakra into the weapon before violently thrusting it forward, the tip of his blade directly pointed at the targets who still had their backs turned towards them. Said motion immediately created a devastating blast that quickly expanded in a cone possessing a width and height of 40 meters, appearing as a softly blurred space. Throughout the entire movement the swordsman made sure his companions stayed out of harm's way, his only targets those who'd soon feel Shitotsu's wrath.

Auron Stat Page:

The ship had finished its course, and as Auron promised to his crew, they’d arrive in the Land of Iron in record time. Compared to his travel by ferry some time ago, this voyage was much shorter although the distance was greater. Such an accomplishment was a testament to the illustrious workings of the Dreadnought itself. And just as quickly as they arrived, the ship was swiftly yet quietly docking at the Eastern port of the country, just above the Land of Rice’s borders. It had been surprising just how smooth and subtle the process was, not even disturbing the still waters of the ocean or the tranquility of the quiet port. Its anchor was lowered, the sails were raised, and the ropes were tethered. Following this the gangway was softly lowered until its walkway connect to the pier, which Auron proceeded down after exiting from the ship’s quarterdeck. Upon descending from the ship, Auron’s boots pressed firmly into the snowy ground beneath him. Equipped with Masamune and Andeddo no Gaito, he shuddered slightly as the environment reminded him of the mystical tundra he had previously stumbled upon, yet was simultaneously grateful for the experience he had. At least he had an understanding of how exactly this type of biome worked. Flurries of cold winds, unstable footing, and low visibility; all were common between the Winter Wonderland and Iron Country thus far. Alongside him (4 meters away from both) were his companions, Grey and Hoori. Both of the men were blessed with the visual prowess of the Byakugan so they served as excellent candidates to scout the area visually. And should either man mention anything about seeing people, aside from the skeleton crew that worked the dock, Auron would focus his attention to the direction they called out.

When Grey pointed out figures and a direction, Auron would slightly take the defense. Kaizoku had been informed of riches and wealth in the Land of Iron, that were potentially unclaimed and free to grab. Others being here would only mean there were more people to split the pot, or potentially try to take it all for themselves. And so in response to Grey’s call out from his companions, Auron would quietly retort, “I think we may need to handle them. If they’re friendly and learn of our intentions, they’ll want a piece of the pie here. If they’re hostile, they’ll want to take us out before we can take them out. Either way, I will strike first after we close the distance a bit. For the moment I will be invisible, but will continue to beeline towards their direction.” Auron then activated his Negative Energy mode, which instantly transitioned him into his undead and regal form. This transformation was rapid and subtle, making no noise at all. Subsequently and at max speed he’d perform the six seals for Dustless Bewildering Cover and upon completion of them his entire presence would become erased, all while maintaining his 4 meter distance from Grey and Hoori.

With that acknowledgement, Auron would travel with his group until they were crouched and within 25 meters of the targets. Auron’s own location was directly behind the cover of a broken wall (roughly 1 meter tall, 10 meters wide) which offered a clear view of their targets by peering overtop of it or around its sides. Grey and Hoori would be on each side of him, 4 meters from him. Now closer, Auron looked over the wall to confirm the figures still had their backs turned towards Kaizoku and were standing within two meters of another. From this distance, they seemed unalarmed of Kaizoku’s presence as Auron overheard their conversation waging on like all was normal. The setting itself was clear, as the two were about to be entering the premises of a doorless building which seemed to have some historical prominence to it. While maintaining this 25 meter distance, at max speed Auron formed the six hand seals required for Singularity and cast its point of origin to be 5 meters behind the two figures entering the building (20 meters in front of Auron). At jutsu speed the distortion field would expand in all directions until it reached 20 meters in radius, paralyzing the two figures should their own strength stats not meet or exceed the power of Singularity. If the targets fell victim to the attack, they’d each be subject to an instance of 50 damage. Following this, Auron would activate the tiger hand seal and unsheath Masamune, all while his presence remained hidden and 25 meters from the targets. Resultantly, the ethereal spirit of the Fourth Mizukage would spawn 2 meters to Auron’s rear, awaiting command from his comrade.

Hoori Hyuga:

Bitter cold. Stinging winds.. Yeah this was the Lands of Iron. A solitary place for anyone wanting to temper their body instead of their swords, but they were not here for this. Stepping off the boat behind both Auron and Grey, Hoori would bring his scarf up to his nose as he smiled inwardly. This feeling had brought him back to his days as an Assassin in the Land of Rice, something was on the horizon and he was here for it. As the three stepped off the boat his right eye would begin to glow a low blue as he scanned the area completely. For some reason he was curious why they had docked here, but he wouldn't question the captain. He kept his view small for the moment as he silently moved through the snow in silence. It wasn't until he brought his attention to the area at hand that he saw two "blips" in his hundred meter gaze which came to pass as soon as Grey pointed it out. He would smiled for a moment as he took in the extreme details given by his fellow clansmen as the scene began to play in his mind effortlessly. Two men, with their backs turned and unaware of their surroundings. As the continued to travel in silence and once they got within the 25 meter mark it was simple what would happen next.

He would watch as his two companions began their assault he would take in a deep breath and bolster his chakra by expelling a portion of his soul into the material world. As he did his left hand would outstretch as his right balled into a fist and pulled back. As he did a magnificent blue bow would coalesce into his hands and with an opening of his right hand a single blue arrows would fly true heading toward the white haired male of the pair. The arrow itself would be designated to hit him directly in the base of their neck right where the spin starts and rip through to the other side of his neck leaving a hole right where his throat would be.. The arrow would be the final attack, the notch in the belt that would send him into the Pure World.

Blood splattered the ground, the sound of flesh being cut filled the area, one similar to a piece of paper getting ripped apart. Both men who became Kaizoku's target fell down, their bodies hitting the ground as they laid there moveless. The silent assassin would sheath his sword once more, deactivating both techniques as they were no longer needed but at the same time making sure to maintain the all-seeing eyes that were called the Byakugan. Taking a deep breath Grey followed Auron as the two of them made their way over as they walked towards the assumed dead to inspect if that was truly the case. The once regal swordsman now having regained his human form once again would check their pulses, almost simultaneously confirming the death of the fallen.

They each collected one of the bodies, Grey would take that of his fellow Hyuuga while Auron took care of Yurei. Saying a couple of words Kaizoku then decided to make their way back and return to their ship and crew where they could discuss their further plans, potentially even setting up camp in the Land of Iron.

Just as quickly as the group detected the threats, they neutralized them. With Auron’s singularity technique paralyzing them in place, it had been inevitable that Grey’s conical blast from his sword would smite one of them. Around the same time, a well placed arrow would pierce the other’s necks. Remorsefully, the Yamaguchi smiled to himself. The team was deadly and synergized well with each other, but at the cost of two lives. Still though, Kaizoku had acted in their best interest. And with confirmation of the bodies hitting the floor, Auron would sheath his blade and dispel all of his techniques. His appearance would rematerialize, as he’d stand tall over top of the crumbled wall. The captain would be the first to walk towards the bodies of the fallen, visually inspecting both. Once he arrived he’d lean down, and check each of their pulses. Yeah, they were dead for sure. And so with that, Auron would retrieve a corpse storage scroll from his possession and unravel it next to the body of the masked one. With the proposer protocol, this body would be stored within its confines. He’d assume that Grey or Hoori would do the same with the other. It was only fair for the group to reap what they sowed.

When that was done, Auron would form the seals to his storage displacement technique and transport the corpse storage scroll containing the lifeless body of Yurei within his own storage dimension. He’d then turn to this comrades and offer a nod of reassurance. “We did what was necessary. If you two don’t detect anyone else here, we should send word to the rest of our crew. Let’s try to set up a camp here.”

A well notched arrow combined with a perfect plan allowed the crew to dispatch the two men with swiftness and as their blood drenched the starch white snow, Hoori would wait for a moment as he waited for their chakra to fully disappear from their body and soon after their lives entered the pure world. With a small sigh of release the water bow would harmlessly fade out of existence and he would deactivate his other techniques before running a hand through his hair and looking to his companions,” Agreed but good job. We worked very well together for this being our first time in a combat situation together. Props,” he’d admit honestly that they worked very well with one another. Synergy like that was either natural or trained but this felt a lot more organic. Walking over with the others he would remain on alert as he scanned the area with his Byakugan to make sure there were no other obstacles and when they had finished storing the bodies he would stretch and look back in the distance of the boat.

The only thing now to do would be to figure out what would be done with the two bodies and how the spoils would be split, but after that he would probably catch a nap and figure out what he wanted to do with the rest of the day. Taking in another deep breathe he would head back with his two companions back to the boat to get the others and hopefully get warm.
