The Grind Empty The Grind

Wed May 18, 2022 11:03 am
first mission

It was cloudy with a low hanging mist filling the village. The humidity at an all-time high had thoughts of just calling it all off and taking another day off. After all, what is another day when you spent that last few months off work spending money to patch up the holes in your run down house. While the walls now kept the cold and wet out, he sat and thought to himself, was it worth losing the time training and making money. Walking over and pulling out the blood bag from his new fridge to poor into his favorite mug before sliding it into the microwave to heat up. A gasp escaped his lips as he impatiently waited, tapping his foot on the floor and watching the numbers go down. Opening the door at one second, he reached in and pulled out the now warm mug, and walked over and sat back down on the chair. He had noticed that with the lack of training he was not as fast as he was for sure. Thinking about the best way to get back into shape as he sipped from the mug.

With a plan of action to start training and knowing that fighting and running missions was the best possible way to get bot get that done while refilling his pockets, Kain headed over to the mission building. While it didn’t hold any high ranking missions above C rank and those were far and few in between other than the basic ones that didn’t need you to leave the village. It was a good source to supplement your income with. Grabbing his jacket as he walked out the house in his normal all black and red outfit consisting of black cargo pants and boots with a red button down shirt with his black jacket over. He walked out, his pale skin being hit by the humid mist filling the streets. His mind once again went back to maybe tomorrow, but he pushed on and kept going. Knowing that if turned back today, he would do it again tomorrow. With the street fairly busy like normal, as the people of Kiri were used to the mist and humidity by this point.

Arriving at the mission building, he walked in like nothing had changed, and for the most part it hadn’t. “Kain” the guard at the door said, acknowledging him as he walked in. To which Kain simply nodded back, mostly due to the fact he had forgotten the man's name. Walking over to the board, he looked it up and down and saw a few missions that he could run, but what he really wanted was to be able to get a high ranking missions since they brought in the most money for your time, but as a genin he was not allowed to just walk up and take one since they were handled by the people at the counters. He took one of the easy missions for what C ranks would offer, as he could knock it out pretty quick. The mission was titled passing on the torch, and it mostly just wanted you to teach a jutsu to someone else. A common mission that most took at some point since it was easy money, and it helped strengthen the village as a hole as well. Since training with others was a good way to increase your own strength, as well as helping everyone grow their arsenal of jutsu.

With his mission in hand, Kain walked back out of the building and started to look around for anyone that looked as though he might be able to teach them something. He knew that for a genin he had a pretty wide range of jutsu compared to others, and hopped that he would be able to teach a jutsu to a fellow shinobi for a quick buck. Plus, if he could find a higher ranked shinobi that he could teach something to. It would be even better since they might be willing to run some more dangers' mission with them.

The Grind Empty Re: The Grind

Shikami had been out of the scope of the shinobi world for awhile as he had been searching for the next stage in his clans abilities, he had gotten close before he had to back track to Kiri to resupply, and doing so he decided to get himself back into shape and become a actual memeber of the community again. Shikami on this day was in the training grounds, Using his bubble jutsu in various combinations, making new and fun combinations, plus bubbles was easy to see if anyone wanted to get easily distracted or looking for hints of life within the training ground. Shikami always found someone to at least talk to, made time go by that much faster. Until such a time, Shikami would continue with practicing his water techniques, including his shark one too. He needed to get up there again and gain the trust of the Mizukage, and eventually if he was a good enough boy, get access to a technique that only the strongest in the village is allowed to have, and the most trusted, but he knew that would likely take time before such a thing would happen.

The Grind Empty Re: The Grind

After standing for several minutes and not noticing anyone that looked as though he could use to get this mission done, he left the side of the building. Knowing that there was one sure fire place that he would be able to find someone to teach a jutsu to. Headed to the most eastern island of Kiri Kain came up to the training grounds. A place on its own island, away from the normal people of Kiri. Done for two reasons, first to keep the people safe from stray jutsu, and the second and more important reason was privacy. Walking into the building, he made his way over to the outside portions of the training grounds. Chain link fencing surrounded the island to keep wild life out and marking the boundaries as well. It was mostly empty for now, but Kain did notice someone practicing some kind of water bubble jutsu. It was a strange jutsu as far as Kain could tell, having never seen it before, but he questioned the usefulness of a bubble in combat. However, he had seen stranger things in his long life that made him never underestimate something just off of what it looks like. After all, those could be acidic bubbles for all he knew.

With not much of a choice, he approached the man, making enough noise to not startle him. With his hands in his pockets, “Hay you mind helping me out for a second or two, I got a mission to teach someone a jutsu” he would ask the man.
