Don't go easy!

The white eyed was here again, earlier than Akaboshi. He asked him out on a spar. They would meet today for training in the training ground, same place where they met yesterday. 




The tall trees make a good atmosphere, Sakuragi sat on one of the tree branch waiting for his training partner. He was in his usual attire. Black Khaki shirt open button, V neck shirt underneath, black short and black shinobi sandals. He wore his forehead protector and had white bandages wrapped around his right arm and right leg. He had injuries or wound, he simply wear them to complete his looks.

Akaboshi was preparing himself to meet with Sakuragi at the Training Grounds. The red haired Uzumaki had promised the spiky haired Hyuuga he would spar with him after the young boy had requested such. And who was he to deny such an honest request from one of his junior shinobi? It had been quite some time since Akaboshi last had some combat practice so he would use the spar as an opportunity to get back into shape. Even though he might have gotten a little rusty he was still a Chuunin of Hoshigakure and had to show what they were capable of. And on the other hand he might be able to find out how talented the young people of the village were. 

The redhead left for the Training Grounds, wearing his Chuunin Flak Jacket with a white V-neck underneath. Alongside his jacket he was also wearing dark blue, denim jeans. On his way over he reached for a cigarette in one of his pockets while he grabbed a lighter at the same time. Lighting up his smoke he was about to arrive at his destination where he could see Sakuragi waiting for him. The red haired Uzumaki would walk up to the young Hyuuga before greeting him. "Good morning to you, I hope I didn't make you wait too long?" It seemed that the teenager wasn't able to wait and was eager to meet up with Akaboshi as it looked like he got there pretty early in the morning.

A warm smile appeared on the boy's face as he sighted the redhead. It's been long since he had a spar. Today would show how much he has improved.


The hyuuga jumped down from the tree and landed safety to the ground. He was now facing the uzumaki eyeball to eyeball who would be his training partner for today.  The distance between the two was  5 meters, the chunin would greet the hyuuga first, “ Good morning, I've not waited too long here" Sakuragi responded . Sakuragi had no time to waste and wasn't interested in talking much either. He just wanted to see how strong he has gotten.  The hyuyga would activate his byakugan and point his left palm towards Akaboshi “ Shall we begin then?“ 


Sakuragi was only  five meter away from the uzumaki, a perfect chance to execute his attack. The white eyed would charge straight at his opponent and once he was within leg reach, the hyuuga would  deliver a powerful  push kick to his target's midsection with his right leg. The attack would deal internal damage as chakra would be released from Sakuragi's foot to his target body. If the hyuuga successfully landed a hit, Akaboshi would be send flying across the field and would take a debuff of  -30 chakra and -60 AP.

Akaboshi was about to finish his cigarette, it would be bad manners if he kept smoking while he was in the presence of someone else. With his other hand in one of his pockets he took a quick look around. Trees in front of him but none to his left or right. The Chuunin wasn't planning on waiting for Sakuragi to greet him back, no since the spiky haired boy made the choice to ask for a spar Akaboshi decided to test just how quick on his feet he would be. His hand still in his pocket he woud grab hold of a kunai unnoticed. The red haired Uzumaki noticed how the spiky haired Hyuuga jumped down from the tree he was standing on as he landed safely on the ground, now standing five meters away from him. "Sakuragi, think fast." 

Immediately after the Hyuuga landed on the ground, so even before he would have the chance to speak, Akaboshi reached for a kunai and quickly flicked it at the young Hyuuga. Given the small distance between the two of them and if the spiky haired boy wasn't careful, Akaboshi's kunai would pierce through his right shoulder, leaving him in immense pain and possibly rendering his right arm useless in battle. The exact moment the kunai would travel towards Sakuragi the redhead would create some more distance between the two of them as he ran another five meters backwards, putting the distance between him and the Hyuuga at ten meters. His hands free to form any hand seals in case he needed to react to anything.

Actions taken:

The moment Sakuragi landed on the ground  the redhead would aim a kunai at the hyuuga's right shoulder, he  would not even give him a chance to greet let alone execute an attack first.




The moment the kunai was out of the uzumaki's grip, the Hyuuga having little time to react to the flying kunai would dash  a meter to his left hand side while simultaneously activating his byakugan, the white eyed would not  stop for a second. He would pull out his own kunai with his right hand while he charged at  the uzumaki who is trying to create some distance. “ Not even a chance to take my breath Akaboshi huh ?“  he said with a smirk as he charged  straight at  the Uzumaki.




 Since the two were moving at the same speed and they were five meters apart from each other, the hyuuga would never be able to catch up with Akaboshi unless he stops running.  if Akaboshi would continue to  run , Sakuragi would run after him.  If he however stops running , Sakuragi would continue to charge at him to pierce his right shoulder with his kunai.

Akaboshi noticed how the spiky haired boy was able to react just in time as he dodged the incoming kunai. The young Hyuuga would then dash to his own left side, meaning to the Uzumaki's right side. At the same time Akaboshi had already prepared his next move as he had finished forming a total of five different hand seals, all while he didn't stop moving and kept running at full speed. The redhead used only one hand to form Rat - Ram - Dog- Snake, followed by the seal of Confrontation, he was able to do so through a skill he had acquired. Since he would be using his left hand which was hidden from Sakuragi and due the fact that usually seals are performed with both hands, the Hyuuga wouldn't notice how the Chuunin was about to activate a technique. 

The red haired Uzumaki would allow Sakuragi to get in a five meters distance from him, all while he kept moving at the same speed. Some would call it a risk to let a close combat fighter get that close to him, however this would all be in Akaboshi's advantage. The redhead maintained the five meter distance between them as he formed a rift in reality and hurled it in a straight line in the Hyuuga's direction. The sphere was half a meter in diameter and aimed at Sakuragi's torso which would be crushed into nothingness if it would hit. In addition to that, the jutsu would try to pull in anyone, except for himself, into the rift that is within 10 meters of the technique. Given the distance between them was only five meters and the rift was already thrown while it would also pull Sakuragi in, this would mean his only option left was to surrender if he didn't want things to end bad for him.

Actions taken:

Sakuragi had been chasing the redhead for quite a while , he couldn't understand why his opponent kept running. Akaboshi was 5 meters away from the hyuuga. 




Sakuragi could see his opponent's chakra network with his eyes, still chasing his opponent. He saw him forming hand seals. Definitely he was about to use a jutsu, Sakuragi wouldn't stop chasing, he would continue to charge at the chunin. He could see his chakra network change as he formed a rift. It's now or never. As the redhead was about to let go of the rift in his hand. the hyuuga would use his Eight trigrams Revolving heaven jutsu.   The jutsu would expand up to 5 meters in a sphere with Sakuragi at the epicenter. It was his ultimate defense. He was sure nothing could break it.  The rift would travel and hit the defense. Since the defense is stronger than the power of the rift , it would reduce the power  and redirect it at Akaboshi. The Uzumaki has to deal with his own attack now.








Sakuragi would not stop spinning until the rift is 15 meters away from him. The Moment Sakuragi stopped spinning, he would thrust both his palm forward shooting a wave of compressed chakra, 15 meteres in diameters and 30 meters in length, the wave would travel up to 50 meters blasting everything in its path, while simultaneously, he would expelled chakra from his body in all directions up to 20 meters. The two jutsu used simultaneously were both aimed at the Redhead.  With the nature of the two jutsu, dodging would be impossible.








Sakuragi had not even properly greeted the chunin, perhaps it would be the perfect time to do that after these attacks have landed.

Never stopping his movements and still maintaining the five meter distance between Sakuragi and himself, the red haired Uzumaki knew he had to continue his run in order to avoid getting in the Hyuuga's striking distance. Akaboshi would be proven to be right when he witnessed how the spiky haired boy began a clockwise rotation the moment the rift had started to travel at him. It seemed to be a rather powerful defensive move, one even being able of redirecting an incoming attack. Fortunately the Uzumaki had already created more distance between them as he continued his run the moment the rift had left his hand. Running to his left side at his maximum speed, avoiding getting caught by his own technique.

Since the young Hyuuga only stopped spinning when the rift was fifteen meters away from him, meaning ten meters from Akaboshi's original position, and was unable to perform another technique it had given the redhead enough time to create 16.6 meters from where he was standing originally, safe and out of reach. The red haired Uzumaki kept his eyes on his opponent who had stopped spinning and thrusted both his palms forward shooting a wave of compressed chakra. At the same time Sakuragi would expel his chakra that extended outwards, the dome being 20 meters in diameter, meaning it would only travel 10 meters towards the Uzumaki who was well out of its reach as he was over 16 meters away.

In the meantime the Chuunin had already reached for another of his kunai to which he would attach a strip of paper where he would flow chakra into. Even though the Hyuuga should still be able to see the projectile coming it would be dangerous if he didn't try to dodge as it was aimed at his stomach.

The redhead was able to evade his attack.
he not only evaded his attack, he sent a kunai with explosive tag flying at the hyuuga.






Sakuragi was having issues getting close  as the redhead was keeping the distance not letting Sakuragi get close. If Sakuragi had the slightest chance to get close, he would love to use his eight trigrams one hundred and twenty eight palms. The jutsu would seal the tenketsu of the boy and drain all his Chakra making him go unconscious. It was one of Sakuragi's rarely used jutsu. Since the redhead is keeping , he had to find another way to finish off the battle.






The uzumaki sent a kunai with explosive tag flying at him. From that distance, dodging was pretty easy. if the redhead would run to his right side after throwing the kunai, Sakuragi would run 35° to his left,  if he would run to his left, Sakuragi would run to his right, 35°. If the redhead would remain in postion or attempt to run backwards, Sakuragi would dash 35° to his left side, the white eyed would then charge straight the moment he was 2 meters apart  from the flying kunai assuming the kunai and the white eyed were two parallel lines. If Akaboshi was running backwards, the hyuuga would bolt at him using his maneuver jutsu. If the redhead attempts to use a jutsu, the hyuuga would react accordingly.

Once he had thrown the kunai Akaboshi slowly began to walk. Simply walking backwards the red haired Uzumaki witnessed how his kunai hit its target and pierced through Sakuragi's stomach. The spiky haired Hyuuga would fall down to the ground, screaming out in pain. For some reason the young boy decided not to dodge the incoming projectile. The redhead wondered what had happened. Perhaps the genin thought he would be able to take the kunai head on, or maybe for some unexplainable reason he simply didn't see it coming. Which sounded rather strange to Akaboshi since his opponent had his Byakugan active and should have seen the weapon coming since it was headed straight for his stomach. Not that all of it mattered much since the Uzumaki started sprinting to check up on Sakuragi's condition which hopefully wasn't too bad.

Closing the distance between the two of them in mere seconds the redhead arrived where he could see the spiky Hyuuga laying down. At first sight it didn't seem like any vital points in his body were hit. Carefully approaching the young boy he would sit down before doing anything. "This is going to hurt a little" he'd say before pulling out the kunai. In one swift movement the Chuunin was able to pull out the sharp metal piece covered in blood. "You're lucky none of your vitals were hurt, otherwise you'd be in quite the predicament." He would allow the spiky haired boy some time to try and stand up on his own. "Do you want me to take you to the hospital?" Although it didn't seem to be all that bad Akaboshi wanted to make sure Sakuragi would be fine.
