Chuunin Exam Part 2

-seen this no 48 hour not posting rule working out some confusion on what is happening -

Senshi frowned as his chakra failed to do what he had told it to do. He had never experienced anything like this before. Intellectually he knew that there must be some sort of seal that was preventing him from using chakra outside of his body. Clearly it didn’t effect the formation of the chakra as it ran within hisy body, just chakra that was released. That meant that there must be some sort of chakra network for the chakra to work with, that it wouldn’t work once it left his body and extended out of his reach. Well. Damn. That made this suddenly an extremely difficult and dangerous fight. He was outnumbered and now a majority of his techniques would be rendered completely ineffective. Useless.
 
He wasn’t certain how they had activated this trap, or when it had been lain either. Since he had just used chakra before the large man had entered the hallway he had to surmise that somehow he or the woman had activated a seal when they had rounded the corner. Either by touching it when he hadn’t noticed or possibly they themselves were the activation key. A seal that was activated only when the activation seal was close enough would possibly explain Senshi’s sudden situation. He didn’t really have time to think that in depth to it however. Especially since the woman was flying towards him incredibly fast.
 
He wouldn’t have much time to react but as she sheathed one of her blades and the other was extended out to stab him through the gut he developed a new plan of attack. He had a feeling he knew what technique she was setting herself up for, as he knew the same technique himself. It wouldn’t be good if he allowed her to do so however and he brought his own weapons up turning his body as he did so, so that his left side was facing her and the right was facing away. He tensed his arms waiting for her to close the distance more and then moved his left blade across his body aiming to catch her blade and push it away from his body. His right blade was tensed a prepared to catch it and push the blade away if she managed to adjust fast enough and dodge his left handed parry.
 

If she didn’t then he would push her blade off course with his left handed tanto, all the while moving his body so that he began to flow around her. His right tanto would come out in a fast stab towards her rib cage. He was aiming so that it would come in between the fifth and sixth rib and then he would direct his stab upwards towards her heart. As he moved around her blade if she didn’t adjust to his movement, his tanto would come off her katana as his hand shot towards his kunai, using the Kyodo Kai Quick draw to send a kunai sailing at the large man, aimed for his heart as it would be the hardest target to miss. As his left hand extended out throwing the kunai he would jerk it to the side aiming a second strike to slit the womans throat. He could only hope that this plan worked out better, and due to how fast she had been approaching he knew how difficult it would be for her to effectively dodge his parry and quick strike.

((OOC: 48 Hours no post, so auto hit with my last post. Continuing the mission))

Senshi felt his left tanto catch the blade and the loud sound of metal scratching against metal echoed through the hallway as the blades clashed. His right tanto slipped in between the womans ribs and he jerked it up more to ensure that the wound was as devastating as possible. As he twisted around the woman and sent the kunai flying at the other prisoner his attention was drawn back to the woman as his left tanto disengaged from her blade and came around slitting her throat successfully. He watched as she started to drop where she stood his attention shifted back towards the man and he was surprised to see his kunai thrust straight into the mans chest, where the heart should be.
 
It buried itself up to the hilt, and Senshi Dashed forwards at his best speed slitting the mans throat to ensure that he was dead. He reached down wiping his tantos on the mans pants to clean the blood off of them before ripping the kunai out of his chest and wiping the blood off it as well. He pocketed his kunai before walking back over to the woman. He checked her over ensuring she was dead before he sheathed both his tanto and took the two katana’s off her body. He took the two sheaths as well and attached them to his lower back so that they crossed each other. He reached back pulling the blades from their sheaths several times and adjusting them to better fit his form.
 
It was slightly awkward walking with the two katana strapped to his lower back but they were quite nice blades and Senshi wasn’t going to allow them to go to waste by leaving them with the dead woman. Once he was sure that he could successfully draw the two katana without problems he walked out of the hallway letting loose several pulses of chakra in order to check the area and find the final two prisoners. Three down, two left to kill before he was finally done with this exam. It didn’t take long before he felt both chakra signatures together. They were below him so Senshi continued walking the two katana in his hands as he moved through the hallways.
 
He checked every corner carefully ensuring his chakra was completely surpressed as he moved through the building. The two signatures were also moving, and it took Senshi well over a half an hour before he finally found a stair case. He checked the door carefully before opening it just enough so he could slip through it and then heading down the stairs as quietly as possible. He could feel the two signatures getting closer, but they had stopped and were motionless for now. As he slipped down the stairs he finally reached the door to the second level and entered it carefully. He didn’t see anyone in the hall but he could sense that the two signatures were close to his own.
 
Looking up he was pleased to see that the false ceiling still existed. Sheathing the Katana he jumped pushing one of the cardboard tiles out of the way carefully and quietly before using the small metal beam that ran through the ceiling to lift himself up into it. He replaced the ceiling tile before crawling along the beam as slowly and quietly as he could. He kept moving until he felt that he was near the two signatures. He moved several feet away and lent over holding his body to the tile with one hand while he very carefully moved one of the ceiling tiles as slowly as possible. Light shown up into the false ceiling and Senshi could see down into the hallway. Carefully he revealed more of the hallway checking it and seeing no one he replaced the ceiling tile as slowly and carefully as he could.
 
He had seen a doorway, that obviously led into a room. Due to his chakra sensory he could tell that his two targets were in the room, probably hoping to ambush him when he came through the door. He crawled alone the metal beam until he was sure that he was over the room. He could feel the signatures very close to him, and he assumed that the two were posted up at the far end of the room facing the door. He carefully moved a tile so that an inch of light appeared through the false ceiling. He could see one of the targets and the wall behind him. He couldn’t see the second target, but now he knew where that person was as well.
 
He had opened the ceiling tile in the center of the room, since he knew that the two would be very focused on the door that they would undoubtedly see the tile move if he opened one too near it. Due to this he could see the door and the far side of the room across from the door. There was only one part hidden from his view and that was the corner adjacent to the door. He crawled along the beam so that he was set up to drop down into the room in full view of the two targets. Taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly and quietly he pulled out two scrolls from his pouch. Lifting himself up so he was crouching he took one more deep breath before performing the hand seals and then stepping off the beam.
 

His immediately fell through the tiles and as he did he unrolled the scrolls and began unsealing the weapons within throwing them at every available inch of the room. He aimed for the two unsuspecting prisoners but also ensured to throw enough weapons to cover the area that they could attempt to dodge to. He landed in a crouch having finished the Twin Rising Dragon technique and immediately drew both of his blades bringing them up and preparing for any attack. He certainly hoped that the Twin Rising Dragon technique finished off the two prisoners but he wasn’t planning on it and intended to be prepared in case they launched a retaliatory strike.

Senshi watched as his weapons flew outwards, burying themselves deeply into the two prisoner’s bodies. He missed with some of them since he had aimed off to the sides in the event that they had attempted to dodge. But it seemed like he had achieved complete and total surprise on the two prisoners. They hadn’t so much as blinked at his appearance, and apparently by the time that they had registered he was even there his weapons were already piercing their skin. He could see more than ten weapons buried in each of the two prisoners. He drew his tanto’s approaching cautiously, even though he was sure that they were dead he didn’t want to make any more mistakes, and thus he would be careful.
 
Once he was standing next to the prisoners he could see that several weapons had pierced the areas near their hearts, their necks, and each even had a kunai and a shuriken sticking out of their forehead. He sheathed his tantos, seeing no point in slitting their throats since the weapons in their heads would have surely ended their lives. He immediately unrolled the two scrolls that he had summoned the weapons from and began collecting all of the kunai and shuriken that were strewn about. Half way through the process of piling the weapons on the scrolls and ensuring they were free of blood the Chuunin who had briefed him earlier entered the room.
 
He rose his eyebrows in what seemed to be surprise, which Senshi did not understand. He had told the Genin about the cameras and thus he should have known what the room would look like. The boy pushed those thoughts off bracing to attention and saluting the Chuunin. The man took a moment before he spoke, “Continue finishing your gear clean up and then meet me outside. I’ll debrief you then.” Senshi gave a quick nod of acknowledgement as the man left and went back to collecting his weapons. It didn’t take long before they were all sealed back into the two sealing scrolls and he immediately rushed out of the building.
 
He didn’t want to keep the Chuunin’s waiting, which would be not only rude but also extremely disrespectful. As he exited through the front door the Chuunin was leaning against a tree, and he motioned for the boy to hurry over, which he did. Landing next to the man he braced to attention and waited patiently as he was scrutinized. “So myself, and the other proctors filled out a report on your performance and it will be delivered to the Raikage immediately. I will say that I am genuinely impressed, I rather thought you were being set up to die with prisoners that strong.” The man gave an almost sheepish shrug as he admitted that to the Genin.
 

“Still you made several mistakes, even though you managed to kill all five prisoners you put yourself in harm’s way unnecessarily. I suggest you continue practicing your stealth and other combat abilities so that you don’t get caught in a trap like that again.” The man paused looking up as he heard the screech of a bird high above. “Still you completed the mission in only three hours and fifty seven minutes. Rather fast all things considered. Tomorrow morning at eight thirty report to the Raikage’s office for your results. Dismissed Genin.” Senshi saluted again as the man disappeared in a flash of speed. He turned and started walking towards his home, despite the early hour he was incredibly tired from all of the fighting. Not to mention that he was covered in blood and desperately needed a shower.
