Rise (Mission) Part 1/3 Empty Rise (Mission) Part 1/3

Sun Sep 27, 2015 5:45 pm
Mission

Spoiler:

The day had just begun. Royalty had been in his bed, asleep as usual. It was relieving getting to see his best friend the day before. They had concocted sort of a game plan for the upcoming chuunin exams. It had been a great idea to go over it with Kyson. It would be easier to go through the exams when you already know what and how you are going to do it. Royalty woke up from his sleep. He then got out of his bed and put on his normal attire. He was slightly tardy to his friend, Kyson’s house. This was a time to be diligent. After getting dressed and grabbing a bottle of water, he grabbed his backpack and left his residence.

After walking through his front door, Royalty immediately noticed the serene sky. Today could be the day he embarks on his journey to becoming a chuunin. He felt as if he grew a lot in a short amount of time. Royalty’s abilities as a genin were superior to any above average genin. He was certainly growing up to be an extraordinary shinobi.

The way to Kyson’s house was not a far distance. It was a mere few minutes before the young Yuka boy appeared on his doorstep. He knocked and awaited a response. Soon after, the boy had decided that Kyson was taking too long. Royalty was here and did not want to waste time.  Royalty yelled so Kyson could hear him through the door.

“Come on bro! It is time for us to leave the genin life behind ha ha,” he laughed while awaiting his friend. He continued for a few more words. “I am so excited and I know you are too. So stop wasting time and come downstairs. The exams await us."

Rise (Mission) Part 1/3 Empty Re: Rise (Mission) Part 1/3

*Ring Ring Ring Ring*

As the loud and annoying alarm wakes up Kyson. Kyson quickly turns it off and gets out of his bed quickly. Today is a real special day for Kyson, today he will be taking the chunin exams. Even better, he will be taking the chunin exams at the same time as his best friend Royalty. This will be the first time the two young shinobi can put their teamwork skills to the test. It will be a great way to test their skills and see how much the two of them have improved. They have been training constantly for almost two weeks now. They both have learned three elements and are ready to put them to the test.

Kyson finally gets up and heads to the bathroom to brush his teeth and take a shower. After that he eats some toast and drinks a glass of water. As Kyson was finishing up on getting ready. He heard a loud yell coming from outside and was knocking on his door. Who could it be this early? Kyson wondered to himself. He recognized the voice and knew it was Royalty after about five seconds. Kyson quickly finished putting on his clothes and ruched to the door. As he opened the door he saw his friend Royalty standing right there.

"I know I know... Well I am ready lets go, lets finally get rid of this chunin life like you said." Kyson said with a friendly smile as he begins to walk to the chunin exams.

"I can not believe we are finally taking the chunin exams. I have been waiting for this moment for too long. We can finally step up in this ninja world." Kyson as he started walking to where the chunin exams would take place.

Rise (Mission) Part 1/3 Empty Re: Rise (Mission) Part 1/3

Sun Sep 27, 2015 5:50 pm
Royalty followed his friend Kyson to the examination building. His heart had been pumping at an accelerated rate. The boy was indeed nervous, although he would never admit it. Royalty masked his worried with smiles and excitement. Once these series of tests were over, it would definitely fill the two boys with an immense amount of happiness. The sense of accomplishment would be unparalleled to none.

When the boys arrived to the examination building, Royalty followed Kyson inside. Royalty thought that there would be a few more genin here before them. Surprisingly, there were no line formed before the two. Royalty went up to the desk and consulted with one of the authorities. The guy told him that he and Kyson would begin their first mission very soon. Royalty sat down and waited for the instructor to tell them of their impending endeavors.

Only a few minutes passed by until an instructor had walked up to the two. He had a clipboard with a few papers attached to it. After briefly going through the paperwork, he spoke to the two.

“Alright, welcome to the chuunin examinations. This will be broken down into 3 separate missions. They will not only test your physical strength, but your wits and mental endurance. Before you even partake in the true chuunin exams, you must complete 3 other missions that will lead up and prepare you. These are called the path to the chuunin exams. Now, the first mission involves a simple infiltration mission. This will be non-aggressive. Your jobs are to retrieve a scroll without being detected. There will be 3 sentries that cannot spot you. If spotted, you fail. The mission will end as soon as one of you touches the scroll. Now, please go to the starting point. I will tell you two when to commence.”

Royalty went to the starting point of the mission. It was behind a closed door. He assumed the mission would have the setting beyond the door. He then looked to Kyson and smiled.

“Are you ready?”

Rise (Mission) Part 1/3 Empty Re: Rise (Mission) Part 1/3

Sun Sep 27, 2015 5:52 pm
As Kyson and Royalty began to walk to where the chunin exams are taking place, Kyson was feeling a bit nervous and tense. But at the same time he was confidence as ever. Hoping his confidence will not get the best of him. As Kyson peeked at Royalty, he can tell he was feeling a bit tense and nervous as well. But he also knew Royalty was ready for the challenge. These boys came too far and worked too hard to mess it up now.

As the  two young shinobi approached the chunin exams building, they noticed no other genin was there. Kyson seemed a bit confused because he was expecting to see a boat load of genin trying to take the exams. Maybe they had already taken it or they started a little early. Kyson was unsure but none of that mattered. It was time for him to get serious becasue this is it, the real thing. As the two shinobi waited to be called apon. One of the instructors walked up to the two of them and he was going to begin to give them an introduction. Their are two parts of the chunin exams, the path to the chunin exams and the actual exam. That is probably why its empty and not a lot of genin here. They must have took the first mission already. The instructor told them the first mission is infiltration and being stealth and not getting spotted. Kyson thought that should be easy because Royalty's father taught him jutsu that can be used as stealth. But will it work in this environment, like indoors? As the instructor finished explain, it was time. The two shinobi went to the starting point of the mission.

Royalty looked at Kyson and said "Are you ready?"

Kyson looked at him with a smirk and a face of determination. "Lets get it."

Rise (Mission) Part 1/3 Empty Re: Rise (Mission) Part 1/3

Sun Sep 27, 2015 6:02 pm
After Kyson had said what he had said, it filled Royalty’s head with much determination. There was no way that the two would fail. They had way too much chemistry and drive to let anything slow them down. If anything were to prevent them from getting through these missions. It would certainly be some other factor. Nothing negative would come from their efforts. Get in, get the job done. And as diligently and unique as possible. Come to think of it, thinking of something unique stuck into Royalty’s head. He will save that for later. In the midst of thinking about him and his partner’s game plan, he was then interrupted by their instructor.

“Okay, now remember. This is indeed a stealth mission. You may not be seen or you will fail the mission. You also do not need to bring the scroll to any specific place. The mission will end once you have simply touched it. Remember, only one of your needs to touch the scroll, so try and use that to your advantage. Now, are you two ready? Commence!”

Upon saying the magic words, the door had opened automatically. Royalty took a deep breath and then walked forward. In front of them had been a long pathway that had 3 directions to go every 10 feet or so. Once you were at an intersection at the 10 foot intervals, you could either go ahead for another 10 feet which led to one more intersection before a dead end ahead of it or you could go east or west. The room resembled a giant TIC TAC TOE game. The ceiling 10 feet high. They were pitch black. The door to the scroll had been on the southeastern side of the doom room by the first intersection adjacent from the one that was right ahead of them. There were 4 doors; one at each intersection. The boys had entered from the southern corridor on the west. Two sentries were walking from east to west and back and forth across the only two hallways that went horizontal. Their walking had been synchronized. When one sentry was at the eastern most part of the hallway, the other sentry was at the western most part. The third sentry had been outside of the room containing the scroll. The scroll was resting on the floor in the middle of the square room that it had been in. The sentry guarding it had been standing with its back against the door, but parallel to the wall next to the door that you open to enter the room. This would surely be a tough feat.

Royalty looked at his friend Kyson. He knew that his friend had shared the same fire in his heart as he himself did. The boy then spoke up and asked Kyson a question to get reassurance.

“This is not hard right. We are Kyson and Royalty, we can get this done easily. Once we finish this, we can then move on to the next 2 missions leading up to the Chuunin exams. Let us be smart about this.”

After giving his semi-motivational speech, Royalty then looked ahead and clenched his fists. He was prepared for what was in store. Being stealthy was not a problem for him and his best friend.

Rise (Mission) Part 1/3 Empty Re: Rise (Mission) Part 1/3

Sun Sep 27, 2015 8:05 pm
As the doors open very slowly, this was it. What Kyson had been waiting for, it is the start of the chunin exams. As soon as the doors open, Kyson walked quietly to the upcoming intersection. He approached the intersection very cautiously, he put his back against the right wall and moved slowly. He was hearing for foot steps and he heard some as he was getting closer to the intersection. He noticed the foot steps were coming from the right and the they were walking across the hallway the two shinobi started from.Kyson peeked to see how far the sentry was, and he was about 12 meters away from Kyson. Kyson used his "Hiding With the Camouflage" Null Version, he turns invisible and erases his scent, shadow, and all chakra signatures completely. Kyson also uses his silent foot steps skill to make his footsteps produce no sound as he walks.

The sentry began to pass the the intersection and began walking towards the dead end side. Kyson walks right past the sentry but at the same time he stayed close to the wall so he wouldn't find any way to alarm him, even though he is using a powerful stealth technique. As Kyson walks down the hallway, he is still keeping a close eye to corners and making sure if he hears any footsteps. As Kyson approaches the bottom right intersection, he looks at all three entry ways, in front, his left, and his right. After Kyson peeked over at the right side, he saw a sentry standing by a door. Kyson did not notice the door as he was startled by seeing the sentry and catching him off guard. He was mainly focused on the sentry. And therefore, he went left to see if there was anything down that hallway on the door at the top right intersection, that could lead to the scroll.

Rise (Mission) Part 1/3 Empty Re: Rise (Mission) Part 1/3

Sun Sep 27, 2015 10:13 pm
Royalty just watched his teammate closely. He certainly did not know what to make of his actions. Kyson just moved without thinking of a game plan. He did not inform Royalty of his future plans. Once Kyson had looked around the corner, Royalty went on the opposite side. He peered over the corner with his back against the left wall. The boy noticed the sentry at the same time that Kyson had. This is when the two had come back around the hall that they were in. Kyson used a strange jutsu that Royalty had been unfamiliar with. It had seemed that Kyson had disappeared. Instantly, Royalty was shocked. What had happened?

About 2 to 3 seconds after Kyson had disappeared, Royalty walked over to where his body was to touch at him. He would notice that Kyson was still there, although he just could not be seen. Royalty was impressed with the technique.

“Hm, nifty,” Royalty had said. He stepped back into his position. The thought that Royalty could essentially complete this mission on his own thrilled the boy, but he could not allow for Kyson to take all of the shine. How would Royalty learn and grow as a genin?

Once Kyson had gone on about, Royalty noticed the sentry getting closer to their position. He had to think fast. The ceiling was pretty high. Area surrounding the height of around 8 foot high and up did not receive much light. This is where Royalty had gotten his idea from. Quickly and quietly, Royalty had ascended off of the floor. He arose to the height of 9 feet in about a second and a half. As he started to fly into the air, he shifted his body a whole 90 degrees frontward to where his back was parallel to the ceiling. He did not make a sound. The guard had walked passed the intersection without spotting the young genin.

When the sentry had gotten to the dead end on the left, he turned around. The sentry then went towards the western side of the hall. He once again walked passed the intersection without noticing the boy. Once he was well down the hall, Royalty figured it was his time to move. That was certainly a close one. Royalty went on ahead still with his back to the ceiling. He figured it would be a waste to descend back to the ground. Assuming that Kyson went to the right, Royalty wanted to explore on his own.

There was a door a few feet from where they were standing. Royalty felt like it would not be that easy to finish the mission but the door was obviously there for a reason. It was only right to check out the premises. Royalty descending only to the doors level. He reached out and opened the door. Royalty only cracked it wide enough to peek his head in. Inside of the room were various starter kits for shinobi. Kunai knives, shurikens, threads, needles, explosive tags and an assortment of other items filled up shelves in the room. Royalty was astounded. This seemed like enough artillery to start a war.

The boy did not look into the room for very long. Time was valuable and he could not risk being distracted. He closed the door very softly while keeping the knobbed turned so you would not even hear the click. He turned the knob to its original position once the door had been all the way shut. There was nothing here to benefit the two genin.  Royalty then rose up and faced the intersection. He went to the corner to see what the sentry had been up too. He had been on his way back towards Royalty. As a result, Royalty rose back to his original altitude and remained silent as he previously did when the sentry had walked passed the first time. He succeeded once again.

Rise (Mission) Part 1/3 Empty Re: Rise (Mission) Part 1/3

Mon Sep 28, 2015 6:41 pm
As Kyson proceeded on walking down that hall undetected, he was glad he had learned invisibility and a technique that allowed him to erase all of his chakra signature. This made the mission a lot easier and more efficient. As Kyson was walking down that hallway, he noticed a door pass the next intersection, which was the top right intersection. The door was on the left side of the wall and a couple meters from the intersection. Kyson was sure that the scroll would be in there because it was the furthest door to the entrance. It would only be right that the scroll was in there.

Kyson began walking down the hallway and getting closer and closer to the intersection. And as he got closer, he heard footsteps coming from the west side and moving east towards the dead end. Kyson stopped for a moment to let the sentry pass. Even though Kyson's footsteps can be heard, they can still hear his voice, such as heavy breathing or a surprised type noise. But luckily the sentry did not notice his presence. After Kyson let the sentry pass, he quickly ran towards the door up ahead. Kyson is now standing in front of the door, he is confident this will be the end of the mission. But before Kyson opens the door, he is going to let the sentry walk back towards the west side of the hallway after he turns around from walking towards the dead end. As the sentry started to walk pass the top right intersection, towards the west side of the hallway. Kyson slowly opens up the door with a cocky smirk on his face as he prepares to complete the mission.

But soon after Kyson opened the door, he saw nothing but it was a boiler room. A huge container was in the middle of the room and Kyson is unknown what is in the container. But it was obvious to him the scroll was not in there and he had gotten excited for no reason. Now there is only two more doors that can have the scroll. The top left door or the top right door. Kyson closes the door quietly as he is still disappointed to not have found the scroll in that room.

"Damn it. I wonder where Royalty is at." Kyson says in his mind after he closed the door quietly.

Rise (Mission) Part 1/3 Empty Re: Rise (Mission) Part 1/3

Mon Sep 28, 2015 7:40 pm
Royalty had still been hovering up with his back against the ceiling. He was not necessarily touching the wall, but there was only a slight distance between the ceiling and his person. If the ceiling was 9 feet high, then the point where the boy’s backside had to be at least 8 feet and 11 inches. As you can see, Royalty wanted to stay close to the wall as possible. He could not risk being detected by a sentry. Failing on his part would mean that Royalty fails as well. Bringing someone else down for your own mistakes is too much of a burden to handle. This was important to the both of them.

As the sentry had passed the bottom left intersection and moved onto into the eastern direction, Royalty advanced. He did not decrease his altitude at all. Still staying at ceiling height, Royalty flew forward very smoothly and quietly. Being real adept at his skill, his flying was not choppy. It was like he had been doing it for years. The first intersection was cleared without detection. Royalty had now been moving forward along the first vertical hallway.

More and more distance was covered by the time Royalty was approaching his second intersection. This had been the top left of the room. By the time he had reached the intersection, the first sentry he had encountered was moving back towards the middle of his hall towards the bottom left intersection. The second sentry had been moving west towards the top right intersection. This falls into the timeline once Kyson had gotten to that top right intersection.

Royalty peeked his lead out slightly over the right corner. He saw the sentry moving to the west. Upon looking east, he was a dead end. It did not seem as if there was a door over in that direction. A doorknob would be poking out if there were. After looking straight, he noticed a doorknob. This was the jackpot.

The coast was clear. Royalty moved straight along. He passed the top left intersection and went towards the door. Like the previous time, Royalty descended just low enough to open the door. Once he opened it, the boy peeked his head inside. The room was too dark to see fully. From the looks of it, it had been a resting spot. A bag of laundry was to the right of the doorknob. Using common sense, Royalty figured that the scroll would not be in a vacant room. It would not be that easy. He closed the door.

After ascending to his comfortable altitude, Royalty heard slight footsteps. After he turned around so that he was facing the direction he came from, the sentry had been coming from the left. Royalty just waited until he passed him. The sentry went to the dead end and made a 180 then walked back down. Once the coast was clear, Royalty then moved straight along back to where the two had come from. In his head he was thinking to himself; ‘Maybe Kyson had no luck either. Maybe he’ll rendezvous with me at the starting point.’ There was only one way to find out for sure.

Rise (Mission) Part 1/3 Empty Re: Rise (Mission) Part 1/3

Mon Sep 28, 2015 8:36 pm
After Kyson failed to find the scroll in the top left, his next move was to move back down the second vertical hallway. Before Kyson headed out, he noticed Royalty was down the hall and heading back towards the starting point. He must have checked the door that was at the top right intersection. Kyson was going to check there next, but it sort of clear that the scroll was most likely not there. But what if Royalty, was going to try and find Kyson before he get the scroll so they can think of a plan to get it together. Kyson was not one hundred percent sure if he had found the scroll or not. But he took the chance and assumed he did not find it.

Kyson began to head south on the second vertical hallway while the sentry was not near him. As Kyson was heading down that hallway. He noticed the third sentry that startled him was standing next to a door. Kyson was almost one hundred percent the scroll was in there. It looked so obvious because there was a sentry guarding that door and not walking around like the others. As Kyson was approaching the bottom right intersection he thought to himself...

"I wish I could get Royalty's attention, but if I try. I might  have to reveal myself or risk startling him because he would not be able to see or sense me. Damn it, this is a good technique. But not a good one to communicate while in stealth... I could wait for him but there is a sentry walking down that hallway. And if he turns around, he will see us."

Kyson's plan is going near the the sentry while invisible and making a soft noise to try and lure him somewhere. Kyson was at the bottom right intersection. He snapped his fingers two times soft so it was not too noticeable but would make the sentry a bit cautious.

*Snap snap*

"Hm? Did I just hear something? Or was it me? Wouldn't hurt to check it out real quick." The sentry said as he began to walk towards Kyson's direction.

Kyson stood really still as the sentry walked right past him. It looked like the plan for the third sentry was to walk all the way down the second vertical hallway and back to check on the noise he heard. But after he walked down the end of the second vertical hallway, he would immediately turn right back around and walk back down to guard the door again. So after the sentry passed. Kyson had about forty seconds to see what was behind that door. As Kyson headed over towards the door, he saw that there was an alarm on it and it would go off if he opened the door. Kyson peeked down the first horizontal hallway to see if he see's Royalty. He did not see him, so he went back to the door. Kyson couldn't open the door or the alarm will go off. But he noticed a space under the door and that's when Kyson knew exactly what he had to do. Kyson looked down the second vertical hallway to see if the third sentry was walking back down and he is almost at the end of the hallway.

So Kyson used his Hydrification to turn into a puddle of water to slide under the door. As soon as Kyson turned into water, he was visible again and his Hiding with the camouflage jutsu is not in affect anymore. After Kyson slid under the door and idolized back to normal. He saw the scroll right there sitting in the middle of a small table. Kyson quickly ran towards the scroll and touched it before anything unexpected would suddenly happen. Mission complete.
