training by the river Empty training by the river

It had been a fairly long day. Having to run errands for his mom all day it was nice to finally get out of the house for a while. He figured that he would go down to the river in the woods a way. He liked it their it was peaceful and not many people came through their unless they was looking to train or work on a new jutsu. He figured that with the sun still up in the sky that by the time he got their it would still be up for a couple more hours witch would give him time to relax and probable get some training done on his own as well. He had been looking at a new jutsu that his father had told him about. It was called the Rising Water Slicer jutsu it was an A rank jutsu so it would be hard to get a good understanding of it, but the uses in battle are limitless or at least that's what his father told him.

Cole arrives at the river in the woods and finds him self a tree and sits down leaning against it. He reaches into his backpack and pulls out a rice ball and eats it in just a few bites. Thinking about how is mother would get on to him for eating it so fast.

"Well my stomach stopped hurting now i guess i should get to then" he says as he stands up in front of the tree looking out at the water.

Salzem was hopping along the Tree branches outside the village, trying to get familiar with the terrain. The places you wanted to avoid, the places that provided cover. Eventually, he would come across a genin leaning himself against a tree by the river. Salzem would normally continue on his way without bothering the kid but he had been slacking on his training and needed to improve. Perhaps the kid would be able to humor him in that regard. So, despite his first thought, Salzem jumped down from his perch, landing about two 2 meters behind the kid as he faced the water. He would stand there, waiting for the kid to notice him. If the kid didn't Salzem would wave lightly to him with his wrist before saying "Yo. What are you doing so far out in the woods?" If he did notice, the same would apply.

Cole standing up in front of the tree goes to take a step towards the water when out of the corner of his eye he sees a man standing their. Cole turns and walks up to the man he could tell he was a leaf ninja by the symbol he wore. Which told him that he shouldn't try to kill him at least not yet anyway.

"I'm about to work on a new jutsu my father told me about yesterday it's called the Rising Water Slicer jutsu you heard of it" Cole would ask as he extends his hand to shake the mans?

Cole was always told to show respect to others especially when you don't know what they can do. He would stand and wait to see what they man would say. If by chance he did know the jutsu maybe he could give him a hand in learning it, and if all else fails he could at least spare. Coles father always told him that the best way to train is to get beat up by people stronger than you. Because you never learn as much from any thing as you do defeat.

"Water Slicer...?" Salzem said, looking at the kid's extended hand before back at him. "No I've never heard of the technique before..." Salzem decided to humor the kid and shake his hand. Although he did this, he did not understand the concept.

"Ninjutsu really isn't my thing..." Salzem said. "I'm more of a Taijutsu specialist and field medic. I would be inclined to give out pointers to what I know if you want." Salzem shrugged. "Or we could spar. I'm the intruder here. What We do if up to you." If the kid agreed to the Spar, Salzem would wait for the kid to attack, mean-while flexing his fingers. If he agreed to the Ninjutsu advice, Salzem would wait until the kid encountered difficulty and would try to offer what he could to improve his chances at success.

Cole stands looking at the man so he is a taijutsu guy which means he don't know a lot on ninjutsu which would stand to reason that he would be a close range fighter while im a medium range fighter, so if i can keep my distance in a spar i could win this. Of course that is assuming that he is a genin as well and not a jounin, and if he is a chuunin i still have a chance a slight one but a chance is a chance he thinks to him self as he runs his hand through his hair.

"very well i shall take the spar i can use more hands on practice in combat" Cole yells as he jumps back landing on the water. Standing on the water he thinks that he should have the advantage here if it turns out the guy is super strong than at least here he could use his trunk card the water dragon bullet.

"although i must tell you i intend to win this spar weather you be genin chuunin or jounin" Cole will tell the man as ready's him self

Salzem shrugs. "Win, lose, its a learning experience." Salzem would say this as he dashed behind Cole with a speed of 70. He doubts The Cole would have time, or even see the speed he was moving at. Salzem would wait until Cole realized where he was before grabbing Cole by the arms with a speed of 30 as to prevent him using jutsu. He would then toss the kid back onto land, taking his time and walking calmly across the water as If he were walking though a sun-soaked field. He waited for Cole to make his next move before Salzem moved again. He wanted to keep things interesting. He wanted to see Cole pull out all the stops. ALL of them. Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, whatever he had at his disposal. There Is no point in a spar if you are not challenged.

Cole stood their and watched the guy, but he vanished and cole couldn't follow him with his eyes. He's fast cole thinks to him self as he turns around the most obvious place he would go to. because it would give him the most of they advantage. Cole would then turn around going to try and throw a punch but he was to slow and the guy grabbed cole by they arms before his attack could even hit and threw him back onto land.

Cole would land hard on the ground and roll back stopping as he hits a tree. "dam that hurt" he says as he stands back up looking at the man as he walks over and gets out of the water. Ok i got to pull all the stops out for this one he thinks to him self.

Cole makes a few hand signs and says hidden mist jutsu, as a mist starts to rise up and cover the area. Cole made the mist fairly thick as he knew this area fairly well.

Salzem watched as Cole summoned a dense mist that creeped along the ground before it rose up, obscuring his vision, but not necessarily blocking it. Cole's shadow was still visible though the mist, but one would have to focus see him in detail. Salzem figured he could escape the mist relatively easy considering his speed but he didn't want to negate the kid's chances of winning. He wanted to challenge, not crush. Salzem waited patiently, closing off his sight, using his other senses, mainly hearing and touch to sense his environment. Salzem then raised his hands in the tiger sign. He focused his chakra into his nails and teeth, into their cell's nuclei, rewriting the DNA. As he focused, his nails grew 3 inches longer and blackened, his teeth two inches longer and sharper. Salzem would raise his new weapons to show off to Cole, daring him to get close.

Cole would focus on the guy for a min and see were he was at. He noticed that the man had grown claws now, as well has fangs. He knew that if he got close he would loose this fight, so he did they only thing he could think of. Making a few hand signs he says water clone jutsu in his head, and two clones form up beside him.

he sends one of his clones around him trying to hide while they other would charge as the one in the back got in position and under the water. Cole himself would move over to the bank and start to make more hand signs. His plan is to have the one clone that is charging to distract the man while they other clone comes up from under the water and grabs him in a full nelson. At this point cole would launch his water dragon jutsu if the clone was able to grab him.

Salzem waited patiently in the mist for Cole to make his move. He had to admit, he was quite a bit more skilled than Salzem initially game him credit for. Suddenly, he saw a figure charge his way through the mist. Cole? No... This couldn't be him. He wouldn't be so careless as to create a smokescreen such as this only to disrupt it's effectiveness by charging straight for it. It must be a clone. Salzem grabbed the clone by the throat as soon as it got within range. He would then sink his new teeth into the clone's head (Sharpness: 30)  The clone would turn back to water as soon as Salzem's teeth broke through the skull, leaving him alone in the dense mist once again. This was starting to get dangerous. If he stayed in there much longer, he was going to get shot at from any direction. He ran out of the mist and across the water, finally getting out of the mist before the water at his feet erupted. Another clone of Cole ducked around behind Salzem and grabbed him in a Full Nelson hold. Salzem could have easily broken out as his strength is almost 8 times that of Cole, but he wanted to see this plan. The clone jerked him around for Salzem to see the last sign of the Water Dragon Jutsu. As he finished, a monstrous geyser of water shot up into the air, forming into something resembling a snake or dragon. Salzem's eyes widened. That thing... It was coming after HIM! Salzem jerked his arms free of the clone, water splashing his back as he did so. Salzem looked back and saw he literally tore the arms off the clone. Salzem would turn back to face the dragon. He would crouch, holding both his palms back before throwing a double palm strike. Nothing would happen at first and the dragon moved nearer. Then, wind begain to congeal and form into a shape of a tiger. Salzem watched as the beast seemed to lunge at the Dragon, biting into it with a strength of 110 and a speed of 120. To Salzem, it was a sight to see, two titanic creatures battling but to Cole, it must just appear as a flash. Salzem formed his hands into a tiger sign, causing the Tiger to explode with a power of 115, taking out the dragon and most likely knocking Cole on his butt. Salzem Would be breathing hard at this point. That was a trying experience. His teeth shrunk back into normal size and his nails fell out and regrew. He would walk over to Cole slowly once again, feet moving from water to dirt.
