Training time!

Karasu made it into the training ground with one goal in mind. Jutsu training! He took out his Jutsu Encyclopedia and began to read about a simple E-rank fire style jutsu called Katon: Fire steam. It says it is a fairly simple technique  used to teach the young uchiha how to master the Katon: grand fireball as clan right of passage. it was described as a small jet of fire reaching three meters and only requiring a half ram seal. so Karasu read about how to form the jutsu and he began to mold small amounts of fire chakra into his chest and formed a half ram seal. "Ok, now just breathe it out." he thought to himself. As he exhaled a large breath all that came out was smoke which caused him to begin to cough. "agh! I need to apply more chakra." he said coughing out more smoke. He paused and began to mold the chakra again only this time he used more of it. as he began to exhale he breathed out more smoke but it was much hotter. It left a burning sensation in his mouth. he decided that it would be best to drink some water and try again. After cooling his mouth off he threw his hand back up in a half ram seal and molded much more chakra into the technique than he had in his previous attempts. His throat burned and as he exhaled out came a gout of fire half a meter long. "yes! i did it! but the book said that it could get up to three meters long. I've got a lot of work to do!" that said, Karasu began to mold chakra into his chest again and formed a half ram sign and breathed out a small flame he then began to focus on controlling it. He focused on lengthening the flame to a reasonable distance. After three tries he finally got it to a meter and a half before he decided he would try it on a training dummy near by to see how fast he could implement it in combat. he ran at the dummy and hastily formed the half ram seal and then focused his chakra to his chest and breathed out a three meter gout of fire that began to burn the dummy to ash. This happened in about 5 seconds. "It still takes me a while to focus my chakra into my chest for the fire. I guess that's because i don't have the affinity i assume." Karasu mumbled to himself. He then started to form the half ram sign again to breathe fire, he focused the chakra trying to go as fast as he could and woosh! out came the three meter flame. "Okay, I got it down to two seconds. That's good enough for my first learning it. Time to head home and tell dad that i got another jutsu under my belt." karasu said happily as he grabbed his water bottle and chugged it down greedily, tired after a day of training.
