Rupture Training, as well as character Development Empty Rupture Training, as well as character Development

Thu Dec 04, 2014 8:31 pm
Hands. She felt them upon her. Rough practiced hands. Hands that had killed, and maimed before. Not hands like hers. Her hands, protected, helped. Maybe even healed if she ever bothered listening to her father. Those hands were nothing like hers, they didn't help, they only hurt.  As Coco found herself floating along the dark void, her vision stricken she could only feel these hands grabbing at her roughly, molesting her. Her heart pumped viciously, but she couldn't move. She found herself completely frozen, impotent and afraid.

Then a bolt of lightning struck outside her window, just feet from her house. It made all the glass in her house quake and shake, with the familiar sound of clanking cups. Coco's heart jumped, just as she did from her bed. She fell to the floor, sweat covered and short of breath. For once she found herself greatful for the habitual nighttime thunder storms, and their lightning. At least they managed to awake her from that hell.

She rolled herself up into a ball, and threw a sheet over her head. The hard wood floor, not giving much comfort, but she wasn't really looking to sleep on it. It'd been the same dream every night since that mission. Dreams about things her conscious mind didn't even want to consider. Yet her subconscious seemed to be urging her to deal with it.

Coco had dealt with it. It was over and done, but the dreams stayed.

She drew the covers up even tighter over her form. She just wanted to squeeze tighter, and tighter until she was so condensed she and the sheets would disappear.

Another stroke of lightning stuck the city. This one was much farther away.

"Good Grief!" She shouted throwing her covers to the wind. She had to get out, had to move. Her heart was pounding, beating, bursting. She died if she stayed in here. She checked the tie. 3:15 in the morning. Not too early for some training.

She padded down to her bathroom. An overly neat room, with a place for everything. She turned the faucet on hot, and waited for the water to steam up. As she waited she, stared at her reflection. Deep lines were running under her eyes. She hadn't had sleep in days. At good night's sleep at least. Too many dreams for that.

He reflection in the mirror began to grow hazy, as steam arose from the sink. She grabbed a cloth, and momentarily held it under the running water. Allowing for the water to soak in. She brought the cloth to her face daintily and began rubbing it along her cheek. She could almost feel her pores breathing as she did so. The hot sensation served to wake her up some. She continued to wash her face thoroughly until his face was glowing bright red.

Moving from the faucet, she turned on the shower, allowing that to steam up as well.

She undid her long silky hair from it's ribbon. Allowing the mass to fall to her back. She brought it over her shoulder, and petted it slowly. She allowed herself to get lost in the sensation for just a minute. She started out at the ribbons of steam floating up from the bath, not really thinking of anything. Just breathing.

When she finally came too, she shrugged off her PJs and slipped in the shower. Giving herself a thurough washing, before exiting it, and drying herself off. She wrapped a down around her form, and made sure everything in the bathroom was turned off, and cleaned up before leaving.

She emerged once more into her room, throwing open her closet door she peered inside. Her walk-in closet was a monument to modest clothing everywhere. Racks upon racks of pretty sweaters, and coats. Though fashionable, they were hardly 'sexy'. Just the way Coco liked it.

She bound her breast up tight against her body. Though that didn't take much effort. She slid into a pair of boy shorts as well, before wandering about her vast selection of clothing. She put on a simple pair of pants, something that wouldn't be soaking wet by the end of her day. First she put on a nice silk blouse, something to make her feel pretty. Then a baby blue sweater, something to keep her warm. After that she put on a thin windbreaker, and over that heavy jacket to finisher her off her outfit. Around her neck she wrapped a long silky scarf, and tucked it into one of her my colars. Then over that she wore a heavier wool scarf, and allowed that to cover up the bottom half of her face.

She gave her reflection in the mirrior a half hearted wink.

Before exiting her house, she slid on a pair of shoes. If there was one thing she hated above all else it was wet socks.

XXX

Coco hugged her open umbrella closly. It's loving shade providing protection from the freezing rain. It'd always been there for her. It was her stalwartt guardian as well as her friend. She truged her way through the jungle land. She found a clearing days prior where she'd taken to training. It was nice and secluded and people rarely came by. The village was like that too, but since the reconstruction efforts, she'd decided causing harm to public property may not have been a great idea now. Not that it ever was.

She came upon her clearing in the jungle, anxcious and ready to begin. Not to be confused with being anxious to begin. This is where it had happened, this jungle at least. er wounds had healed thanks to her parents, but her mind would takelonger. Hed she not escaped, hat she not flubbed that post her body would be...desicrated.

She looked out upon the trees she'd been practicing on. They were all now rather ragged looking. Their bark was flayed away from their trunks by her constant target practice.

Coco was pretty rad with the Kunai. Her throwing skills were always what she scored highest on in the academy. Her Ninjutus was almost nonexistent, and even her Ninjutsu tended to be fairly week. But she'd be darned if she couldn't hit a bulls eye from thirty yards. Lately she'd been focusing on the force of her strikes. She had the basics of speed and percison down, now she wanted to focus on it's stopping power.

She already knew how to enhance her blades, making them into powerful slicing instruments. By this point she could turn a butter knife into a blade that any master chef would won't in their arsenal.

She brought out her Kunai, and formed her sharp sheath of chakra around it. She'd become quite practiced at it, and could even do it with Two Kunai at a time. She was determined to be one radical chick in everything she did.

Right now weaponry was taking up a spot in her mind. She knew if she went down the medical path she could easily learn all she wanted to know from her parents, but she wanted to travel down her own path. Besides after that mission, she felt weak. She needed to learn how to protect herself, and others. Not just heal them when they got hurt. She had to help them before that even happened.

That's why she was out here tonight. Today, this morning. Bright and early before even the sun threw his blinds open. She wanted to be a powerful woman, who never needed help. But whom others could always look up to for support. That's what a matriarch did. That's what she was, or at least was going to be.

Coco held her blade up in front of her. Her chakra was faintly visible floating along the blade of her weapon. She'd learned thanks to her mother, and a great man text books that she could manipulate that that chakra. She'd focus and it fit around the blade like a second skin. Increasing it's sharpness and penetrating power. Her wind chakra now fully in effect.

Now....Now. The hard part. She had to swing her kunai, and have a burst of chakra be expelled by her blade. That part was fairly simple. Too bad she had to have it take on a specific bladed form, as well as have it travel away from her at a decent speed. It was called rupture, and it was a fairly advanced sword technique.

Coco figured she start small with a kunai. She swung her kunai, pushing all her chakra to the blade. "Hya!" Nothing. She swung again and again. Which each swing she tried to expel chakra out of her body. This is why she never did well during Ninjutsu, or Genjutsu training. She never completely under stood the concept of making chakra form things. At least up until recently.

Her mother did a pretty job explaining it some weeks ago. That's how she'd gotten her grasp of Chakra infusion. She thought her that the knife was just an extension of her body, and that just like her body she could transfer chakra to it. It was just the sending it out in thin air that she had a hard time coming to terms with.

Swing, and a miss. "Pfft." Coco set her Kunai down into the soft wet dirt, and pulled out a manual from her pocket. Rupture, Structure, and General Sword Techniques the cover read. She flipped thought the Rupture chapters chapters which she'd already read a few times now. She was just hoping that there was a section specifically for dummies who couldn't manage it. "Imagine you're using your chakra that's coming off the blade to slice into the air. Like the air it's self is something which can be cut. As you do so imagine filling the hole up with you chakra."

"Cha right." Coco mumbled, placing the book back into her pocket. The instruction book was kind of like guides to tying a Bow tie. They take you step by step, except for the most important part, which just magically goes from nothing to a knot with no explanation. At least it was a little like that. Coco plucked her knife from the ground and gave it another try.

First the first layer, then the second. "Slicing through the wind." She told herself. "Slicing through the wind." She readied her kunai, and let the chakra flow. He held the knife high above her head. She closed her eyes and felt the Chakra surging about her body. She opened her eyes and with a swift downwards stroke slashed through the air. She envisioned slicing through the chilly morning air like it was a block of cheese, her blade  +getting ready to serve up some delicious dairy. Then filling up that hold with her chakra.

Then she saw it, a faint blue flash just at the tip of her stroke. "I did it!" she shouted jumping into the air. "Holy cow!" A partial succsess was better than nothing after all.
That small success was all she needed to set her heart aflame. She readied her kunai for a second strike. Slash! Another spakr of blue energy. Nice. She'd been able to recreate the success. That was the key to victory! Repeating success.

Alright! She gripped her umbrellas' handle and shook off the water. Time to get serious! She held that knife letting it be an extension of her will. Another downward slice. This time she poured as much chakra as she could between the cracks in the air. A large blue circle appeared before her, before winking closed. Too much chakra. She did it again this time letting the energy flow come out evenly. This tie the stream of energy was a bit longer than before but awfully scrawny.
Then she remembered her training on the side of the skyscrapers. Whenever she'd tried to walk on the glass it'd shatter beneath her. Until that is she finally had the proper chakra control. The key to walking on the glass wasn't just to not overpower it with your chakra, causing it to shatter. You had to make sure that the chakra was evenly distributed. You couldn't let the energy fluctuate, or else the glass would pick up the resonance, and shatter. "Of course." Coco announced.

She held her knife out. The problem wasn't that she was putting too much chakra into it. She was putting too much in all at once. Right near the middle in fact. That's why it was coming out was a circle. If she simply distributed the energy it'd be a straight line. In theory. She raised her knife to the sky. It was probably putting her at risk of getting hit by lightning, but that was okay.

With a booming downward strike she slashed the air.Trailing behind her strike was a magnificent and think line of energy, almost like a ribbon. "Beautiful!" She wooped.
The shard of energy floated in mid air for a good few seconds, before dissipating.

"Now how do I get that to move?"

A considerable portion of Coco's dead was spent figuring out that mystery. She tried running while doing it, but that that only scent the energy flying at the same speed she was running. Which seemed almost useless. She tried providing it with another burst of energy right after to try and propel it forward. That only served to disrupt the slash entirely.

She'd been laying down under the dry shade of her umbrella considering her options. Her breathing was heavy, and her body was covered in moisture other than rain: I.E Sweat. It was at this point she noticed a leaf floating along the wind, propelled by the guntle gust it skated upon the breeze. The it struck her. Coco had a wind nature. Wind can be used to propel things. Dang it was so simple now that a simple leaf had explained it to her.

She just needed to surround the energy with her wind nature chakra and send it barreling forth. Which could easily be done during the slicing process itself. Oh my god Coco was a brilliant G.

She jumped to her feet, though her entire body moaned in protest. Everything ached. Her toes were numb, her nose was running, and her chakra was just about out. It'd been a grueling day of exercise, and she wasn't feeling better for it. She still felt weak and her acheing bod only served to remind her of the mission.
"Fuck!" Stop thinking about it! They were dead and she was alive. Evil failed, good came out on top. End of story, pack up and go home.  It's not like she even got raped right? Then she'd have reason to be all tramatized. it was only an attempted rape. So she was fine, a few fingers down her pants no biggy. Besides she'd certainly violated their bodies with her knife so, she'd considered them even.

She created a small sliver of energy and sent it forth with her wind chakra, testing out her theory on a small scale. Indeed the little sprite moved forward at a fairly impressive speed. Excellent. Now she just needed a large scaled demonstration.

She picked a tree that she'd already mostly destroyed with her earlier shuriken throwing. Weeks and weeks of target practice had rendered the old girl with holes and cut marks. One good storm and the forest elder would be done for.
In her hands she gripped the knife. It's cold steel kissed her palms. She would never be weak again. She would never let men get the better of her like that. She'd never let Li Dian or any other man see her that vulnerable. No one would ever take advantage of her! Her chakra crept up the blade, sharpening it as well as extending it's reach.

She was a kunochi of the rain and the Matriarch of the Wei Clan! She would never again let a man effect her in such a way! She was too strong to be wounded in such a way. She die before she'd let it happen. Her blade extended far beyond what it'd ever been before.

She'd kill them all before she let anything like that happen again!

With a mighty howl, Coco sliced through the air. A large crescent of indigo filled the air in front of her. With an incredible speed. the energy rushed towards the tree, sending dust and leaves scattering in it's wake. The energy wave met with the ancient jungle tree, and struggled to blast through it's core. However it had just enough energy to split the tree in twain.

The mighty tower of timber tumbled to Tera. Lesser trees, and limbs, crumbled in a chorus of cracks as the tree came down. It was rather impressive.

As the camera pans from the scene of destruction over to Coco, we find not a face of joy and accomplishment, but a weeping girl on the ground. Her body was wracked with weeping shivers, as she let all of her emotion pour out from her, like some great opened wound. She collapsed to the ground, the right side of her face splatting in the mud. She hurt so much, and her body was the least of that pain. She felt like something had been torn from her, and she was just a ghost wandering the world now. She just wanted to die.
"I found her!" It was her dad's voice. It was long after that she heard his foot steps splashing in the mood. "We've been looking for you all night Coco, where've you been?" She felt him reach down to pick her up, but she used all of her remaining strength of push him away.
"Get away I hate you." She bellowed. Her father wasn't having it however, he scooped up his daughter and held her muddy face to his chest. She cried and wept for a good long time in that clearing in the forest. Her father didn't say much of anything as she did, but he'd always been a quite man. Maybe he just knew what his daughter need most right then.
