Re-Claiming Characters

Being a shinobi requires dedication and constant training. Slacking for even a week could have catastrophic results in the field due to lack of practice. In such a dangerous world, remaining at the top of your level is a must. Unfortunately, it is not something that an inactive character has done. During their time, missing your character has not kept up; they've lost their edge. When a character is brought back from being M.IA, the consequence will depend on how long they have been MIA.

V7 Characters

Characters from the current era (V7) will have their current stats cut in half (rounded down) and will need to be retrained at the regular cost. If you choose, these stats can be changed from what they originally were. Additionally, the Power Rank of a reclaimed character is temporarily lowered by one below its previous. The RPer must get back to their original total stat amount by 30 days of approval, or else they'll remain the new Power Rank. During this grace period, the character can't claim their Power Rank if killed, and they can't use banked wc to re-claim stats. The lowest a character’s Power Rank can be lowered is D-rank.

For Example:

Naruto Uzumaki misses an activity check. Before the activity check, he has 250 stats. He returns a month later and re-announces his presence to the world.

Naruto Uzumaki's stats are now 125. Previously Naruto had a 100 speed stat; now, he can set his speed to wherever from 50 to 100 like before.

V6 Characters

If the character is from the previous era (V6), they will decline entirely differently. They will receive 125 stats to allocate how they see fit, and their Power Rank will be permanently lowered by one rank, and all of their techniques, skills, and summons will be refunded, and they will receive 75% of that wordcount back as a bank. They can freely swap their stats around however they wish, and they can do the same with both their specialties and their elements. The lowest a character’s Power Rank can be lowered is D-rank.

For Example:

Sakura goes through her old stat page, refunding all items; and showing proof of purchase.

Sakura concludes she has a total WC of 150,500. WC will be reduced via 75%.

She then calculates,

150500 * 0.75 = 112,875 WC

Legendary Weapons

Legendary Weapons are some of the most precious items in the known world. Sought after by many and known by even more, an inactive shinobi would be hard-pressed to hold such weapons/items of great importance to the world.

Should a character go missing, so will their legendary weapon. During their inactivity, the LWs will be lost to the wilderness or perhaps even stolen by their original owners, returning to the LW pool for future fights.

When a character who previously had an LW returns, they will no longer have their LW. If they wish to reclaim the precious weapon, they must sign up for the fights as they had done to obtain it the first time.

Bijuu

There is perhaps one thing more valuable than legendary weapons, and that would be Bijuu. Throughout history, the one constant was the Bijuu. Famed throughout history, becoming a Jinchuriki naturally paints a target on one's back. Should a Jinchuriki fail an activity check , their beast will break free, and the Bijuu will return to the pool for future Bijuu fights. By some miracle, the former hosts survived their beast breaking free but lost access to everything the beast gave them. Should a character go inactive, the Bijuu will escape into the wild to be added to the pool again.

A reclaimed Jinchuriki will permanently lose any WC that they invested into Tailed Beast Cloaks or Tails training, but any techniques/skills they knew that required the Bijuu will still be refunded as usual .

The Lost Chapter:
Komon’s love of kumogakure was second to only one thing, his sense of duty to his family. He’d followed his brother’s journey to raikage faithfully, and in a time of need his twin had vanished. In his absence Komon had done his best to fill the role for his brother, but when Amai had birthed his son and it became apparent his brother was not returning Komon felt he could ignore his brother’s absence no longer.

Soon he, his wife and his newborn son began their journey to find him, setting out into the vast shinobi world, with no idea where he may be. Three years have passed and many locations have been searched, but they seem no closer to finding him then when they started. Still, the will to find his twin had never wavered from Komon’s core.

The Lost Chapter:

A sharp pain would shoot through yemma’s head as he would slowly come through , the smell of sanded down cedar wood flooding his nostrils along with a bit of sands of dust causing him to go into a coughing fit. Yemma would attempt to move only to met with the resistance of what he assumed was a wall , unsure as his world was painted pitch black. His heart would begin racing as he began striking against the walls around him only the realizing his legs where buried in sand , his panic would not go unnoticed though.


The sudden feeling of the dark space closing in on him would make the young nin begin hypervetilating , he would let out a blood curdling scream as he was fully consumed by the pressing feeling shutting his eyes tightly as the sound of chitinious clicking filled his ears unable to associate the sound with his own spiders. His screaming would only be abated by the feeling of a light breeze flashing past his face , causing him to slowly open his eyes as he fell forward in the sand.

The scrawny young ninja would slow his hitched breathing reigning in his bearing’s before he emptied the contents of his stomach onto the desert floor , the smell of stale sake would flood his sense as last night came flooding back to him. Yemma had accrued quite the debt in a casino in suna , and well after a very bad beating after getting drunk and going all in he was stuffed into a crate and after that his memory goes out.

He would take a moment to examine his surroundings he appeared to be on the very edge of wind country , and knowing he cant return to suna with his outstanding debt and most likely assumed dead he would venture forth seeking  anew home to hang his hat.

The Lost Chapter: Having a summon contract with them, Nero had been doing work for the polar bears of Kirigakure, getting them ready for their hibernation. There was a lot of things they needed, so he spent a few weeks hunting and gathering for them to survive their sleep. Once he was done with everything, he was so tired that he figured it would not have been a huge deal if he took a short nap with his hibernating buddies. When he woke up, the polar bears were having a community dinner that Nero joined. Slowly but surely, he got pulled into hibernation with his friends. In time, he wasn't sure if he himself was man or bear. But, trouble came-a-knocking as it usually does. The glaciers that held the polar bears' home started melting. Nero has to leave his home to search for the answers that will protect his polar bear family.

   The Lost Chapter: His journey began after his friend and Kage, Jason Senju, allowed him to wander the world as a wanderer. His travels took him to distant lands, some even lands away from the Shinobi lands. After months of traveling he came back to hear word of not only Jason being dead but the decline of Konoha and the land of fire as a whole. All that he had known had slowly began to slowly crumble he secluded himself in the land of iron, changing his name and becoming a relic of his old home. With the world consistently changing he clung to the teachings of the samurai and forged a new life under the name Shinori Koyomi.
