Eva held Den’s hand so he could teleport them back to Eva’s apartment. When they arrived they were welcomed by a loud crashing noise. Eva turned to see an extremely guilty looking Shizuko, and a smashed TV. Luckily Den spoke up and assured Eva he could pay to replace it. Den said that he had plenty of cash hidden away. This made Eva wonder exactly how he had gotten the money. She assumed he earned it just by doing missions, but of course some part of Eva wondered if Den was some kind of hit man. Eva had spent quite some time with Den, but she still knew very little about him. Although Eva felt confident that Den wasn’t a hit man.

Eva thanked Den when he offered to pay the landlord for her TV. Eva smiled and waved goodbye to Den and his snakes as they exited the apartment. Once Den shut the door Eva turned Shizuko, no longer smiling. He remained sitting in the same spot next to the TV. Eva stood there attempting to look angry, trying to decide how she was going to scold him. Eva wasn’t actually angry with Shizuko, as if she could ever be angry with the cute ball of red fur. She figured that it was her job to enforce right from wrong. But as she stood there “angrily” staring at Shizuko he made eye contact with her. Eva couldn’t even act mad when she saw his adorable brown eyes.

Once Shizuko knew he won their staring contest he ran up to Eva and climbed up her body and sat on her left shoulder. “I like Den.” He said as he got in a comfortable position. Eva sighed as Shizuko climbed up her body, she needed to ask Den how he got Natsumi and Hiroko to behave. Eva laughed at Shizuko’s remark, “Yeah, you’re lucky he was here to get you out of trouble.” As Eva said this she began to pet Shizuko’s head. After a few seconds she grabbed him beneath his front legs and sat him on the floor.

Then Eva went to her bedroom and began to pack her belongings. It didn’t take long for Eva to pack everything, she just brought what she assumed she would need. After zipping up her bag Eva sat on her bed. She was still shocked that she had managed to pick up on the Earth element so fast. She supposed she just needed a proper teacher, although Eva had never really attempted to train on her own.

Now that Eva had an understanding of two elements she began to wonder what would happen if she could combine them. Eva cupped her hands together and directed her charka into her palms, trying to think of a way to combine Earth and Water. Apparently Eva did something right because she felt something smooth in her hands. She moved her left hand to reveal a red crystal in the center of her right palm. Eva stared at it feeling confused, but proud of herself. She certainly had a god case of beginners luck. Eva put the red crystal in her bag and pulled it over her shoulder. She and Shizuko left for Den’s apartment. He had mentioned something about putting Eva’s bag some place safe.
