Patrol Mission

Feeling bored, Corvin decided to hit the mission boards again. Still stuck with D and E rank missions, he decided to take the first one he saw. This was a decision he immediately regretted, as it was an extremely boring patrol mission. With the village being out in the middle of the dessert, it was not exactly easy to sneak up on. As such, no one tried to very often. In fact, he could not remember the last time anyone had. So sitting around watching nothing happen was going to be unbearably dull. But dull or not, it payed. So he set out for the front gates.

Giving a quick greeting to the gate guards, he headed out the gates and began the tedious mission of scouting around to make sure all the nothing that happened did not get out of control. He found himself looking out at the sand dunes and almost wishing a group of assassins would come running over them, or maybe even an army. Heck, even just a herd of some kind of large animal would be better than the empty dunes. None of that happened though. The patrol went smoothly and when he returned there was nothing to report. He knew that it was wrong to hope that the mission had not gone so smoothly, and that an attack would likely mean that some of his comrades could die, but Corvin could not help but want a little excitement. He decided then that he would train even harder to achieve Chuunin so that he could go on harder missions and be given more responsibility. He just knew that he was not quite strong enough yet to make an attempt at the exams, and was unwilling to risk the potential death that came with those kinds of exams.
