D-rank: Helping the Academy Empty D-rank: Helping the Academy

Spoiler:

It was an overcast morning as Ukita strode through the deserted streets of Kumogakure. It was far too early for any reasonable person to be awake. However, here and there some people stalked through the streets. They, for the most part, kept to themselves and ignored Ukita. At one point he was stopped by a beggar, which he unfortunately had to rebuff with a fair bit of prejudice. Though for the most part his journey through the streets went unhindered: he was on his way to the one place that had acted as a sanctuary when he was in his younger years: the ninja academy where he flourished as an academy student. Pushing open the heavy iron gates he found himself looking upon the same academy he once attended all those years ago. It brought back so many memories at once, but he was not here for a walk down memory lane. He was here for a mission.

His mission was simple: help three academy students with a few remedial lessons. In a heartbeat he spotted the motley group: three young boys who were practicing their kunai throwing. Then again practicing was not the right word...they were failing. Each kunai would not stay in the target. This was either due to the the wrong angle or not enough strength. It would seem that Ukita had his work cut out for him. He quickly greeted the kids and got through introductions rather quickly. And then it was down to business. Ukita showed them the proper way to throw there kunai. It would seem that they had not had enough of a demonstration in class, so Ukita provided a very thorough one. By the end of his lesson the students could throw their kunai perfectly. Next came the more fun part: performing a few academy jutsu. This part of the lesson was very easy as the students seemed to have all of them down and could execute each one with aplomb. That left Ukita to simply discuss strategies with the young students. He regaled them with his tale of the chuunin exams and told them what to expect. Granted these students were a long ways away from the chuunin exams, but it never hurt to be over prepared.

By the end of the lesson Ukita felt as if he had conveyed as much information as possible in his allotted amount of time. Hopefully the kids learned something or another. At the very least he knew that they could now throw kunais much better than they could before. Maybe someday that skill would save them or win them a fight: Ukita hoped it did. All the same it made him feel very accomplished. With this feeling of accomplishment he went on his way back home. He still had some training to do himself. Unfortunately Ukita was 100% sure his personal training session would be much more arduous than the one he just put the academy students through.
