Mission Topic: Missing Pets

Masuma was assigned another task today. It seems like
volcano is running short on missions so this is the last one for now. The task
was “A few cats belonging to an old lady have run away, she requested help on
getting them back. Your job is to find the five missing cats and bring them
home.” He sighed and started on his way to the house. He had on all of his
ninja gear, but really thought he did not need it. It was good, though, that he
kept his gear on him at all times. After all it is the volcano village and you
never know what might happen. He got to the house and an old lady answered the
door. She look frail and she asked “What can I do
for you young man?” Masuma showed a little respect for her since she did
not insult him like other people. Masuma said “Yes ma’am
I am here because you posted a mission for pets?” The old lady smiled
and said “Why yes, yes I did. There are three cats
and they seem to have wondered off somewhere. One is black; one is brown and
the other grey. You can tell that they are mine by the blue ribbons around
their neck. They like high places so look up on roof tops.” Masuma
nodded and jumped up onto the roof tops and started searching. It did not take
long to find the black one with the blue ribbon it did not roam too far from
the house. He thanked that he found this one first because it would be a pain
if he searched for it at night. He snatched it up and headed back to the house.
This cat was calm and did not fight Masuma. He gave the lady the first cat, and
he dashed back off. He had to search for a bit, jumping from roof top to roof
top in search for another one. He scanned the area and still did not find and
until he heard a faint meow. He quickly dashed toward the sound and found the
brown cat with a blue ribbon. Masuma smiled and said to himself “Found you.” He snatched up the cat that had just
woken up from a nap and headed back to the old ladies house. She said to him as
he was giving the cat to her “I really appreciate
you doing this for me. I am making cookies if you want some when you get back.
I made plenty, and I noticed you have not gotten the grey cat. Please be
careful with that one. It may fight you since you are a boy” Masuma
smiled as he was never shown this much kindness from a stranger, and chuckled
at her last remark. He said “Thank you ma’am sounds
good, and I shall be careful.” He dashed off once again to find the grey
cat. It was getting almost nightfall so it would be harder to find it. He
dashed around for a while and even went back by the old lady’s house to see if
it went back. Masuma was surprised when he found the grey cat on top of the old
lady’s house. He wondered if it was there the whole time or it just got there.
He knocked on the door and without a fuss from the cat he handed it to her. She
smiled and handed Masuma a bag of chocolate chip cookies. He thanked her and
went off.
