Repairing the village gates (Sliver, Minorin, P)

Task: The gates have been ruined, assist other shinobi and repair men in fixing the gates.




Minorin was examining the village gates, her arms crossed and eyes assessing their form. They had indeed fallen into quite a poor condition. The wood had started to rot in places and the hinges had rusted to a dark and morbid color. She assumed the village gates were in this state because of general wear and tear over the past years and the wet conditions of Kirigakure.

Being nine and untrained in the ways of gates and all things of that nature she would be unable to help but so much with the actual repairs. But she could go get all the supplies they would need. At the moment she was waiting on a fellow Kiri ninja to come and assist her and the other ninja and repair men present. So she decided to get busy! It’d go by faster and that would mean the gates would be as good as new soon enough!

She talked to the repair men and shinobi in charge of fixing the gates and made mental notes of the items she and her teammate would have to procure in order to complete their mission. They’d need to pick up some special wood among other items that had been ordered to repair the gates from a hardware store that was about two blocks away from the gate. And then after retrieving those items they were to assist the repair men and fellow shinobi in fixing the actual gate by either helping them build or by handing them supplies and refreshments, even though Kirigakure was generally cool this work would be challenging and they’d need something to help them get through such work.

After acquiring the information needed she would wait on her teammate to arrive.

The man had been in the lightly lit bakery since the store had opened, he had just been looking over the various rolls and cakes, his stomach rumbling as the sweet scent of frosting and fresh bread intermingled in the air making his mouth water. Checking the time he frowned for a minute before grabbing a basket of rolls and purchasing it for the mornings breakfast. The figure stepped out into the light, replacing the hat atop his head with a flourish, a basket of warm rolls hanging loosely at his side. The scent of freshly baked goods hanging off the mans fine clothing, the simple white handkerchief changed out today for a blood red silky cloth with the symbol of kirigakure placed upon the outward facing surface. Adjusting his hat the man started off on his way towards the village gates, stopping at a small shop to purchase a small case of water bottles. Inside the shop he grabbed a case of water bottles and hefting them over his shoulder he smiled and walked along towards the gates with a silly grin. He eventually made his way to the gates and dropped the supplies for the workers and his fellow ninja. Smiling to the younger girl he bowed tipping his hat with a flourish, "hello, my name is Kairashi Zennousha it is nice to meet you." He stood up quickly putting his hat back in place. Still doing these simple missions around the village, I can't wait until they let me get a piece of the real action. Maybe I'll be able to better myself even faster, I wonder if I'll even get to meet the mizukage. Still smiling Kairashi stepped over and looked at the plan, it looked like they would need to go and collect supplies first. Smiling he lazily thought over the plans it seemed the village was going to be using the ninja to do these menial labor jobs.

Minorin was surprised, a man she hadn’t met before had brought refreshments for the repair men and shinobi, either he was some kind of psychic or very generous, either way Minorin couldn’t complain. It was super nice of him.

He was dressed in a fashion Minorin wasn’t used to; it seemed elegant, he even had a nice hat and handkerchief. Next thing Minorin knew he was tipping his hat to her and introducing himself. Kirigakure was so full of extraordinary people. She didn’t answer for a moment since she hadn’t been expecting someone who seemed so formal to be her teammate.

She smiled up at the man and curtsied since he had tipped his hat to her, “A pleasure to meet you, my name is Minorin Senju.” She paused for a moment, once again assessing the gates as well as the people around them; there was no need to get refreshments now but they did still need the items from the hardware store down the street. She looked at Kairashi again, “Alright, now that you’re here we need to go to the hardware store down the street and pick up some items the workers have ordered.” She grinned, trying not to make informing her teammate dull.

If Kairashi wished the two would travel down the street to the hard ware store where they would pick up a number of different items going from planks of wood and paint cans to rivets and hinges. They would then deliver these items to the workers and help them repair the gates.
