Another Brick in The Wall

Kai walked into the classroom in his long black sleeve shirt, black slacks and boots. It was kind of nice outside, it was cloudy and cool, which is the weather he preferred, the chances of getting sunburned are less likely, unless you are swimming! Which he wasn't. He took a seat in his usual spot and looked around for Zatoichi. This was normal procedure for him, he's late more than he's on time! But, at least Zatoichi makes it to class!
He had a bone to pick with Zatoichi, you see, they were working on building a greenhouse together for a project. A ten foot by ten foot hole had been built to start the project, for some reason, the hole was now back in! Of course he wanted to know why and he figured his best friend and partner in crime, Mr. Zatoichi would know why!
Needless to say Kai wasn't happy about this, but resorting to violence was not on Kai's agenda or part of his personality if we are being honest! He was even going to start this conversation with Zatoichi. Kai’s really not good at starting the conversation but he's sure if he clears his throat and looks at him while cutting his eyes maybe Zatoichi will ask the question ‘what’ in which case Kai will proceed to ask about the hole!

Zatoichi arrived fashionably late for class. He had stopped for coffee at the little tea house, which was where met his new found friend, the Shinkou kid, Youta! Besides he hadn't really been able to sleep the night before so coffee was a necessity! He decided to take a seat next to his friend and housemate, the basement kid, Kai Uchiha! Since Kai was sitting next to the stairs in the end seat at the table, Zatoichi literally sat on the table, slid in front of Kai across the table and stood up on the table before climbing into his seat!
“Kai! What's up? Sorry I was late, I had to get some coffee before coming to school!” Zatoichi said as he patted his friend on the back. “What's with the look on your face? Is this about the hole? Look, I have a lot of explaining to do, but first you have to promise to be understanding and not get mad ok?” Zatoichi began as he sat his elbows on the desk and leaned his head against his hands preparing to tell him the story of what happened a few nights ago.
“I may or may not be in a little bit of trouble thanks to the purpose I used for said hole!” Zatoichi began as he waited for Kai's reaction before continuing.

Kai had his arms crossed still cutting his eyes at Ichi. He wasn't exactly sure what the use of his hole had been but he knew it wasn't used for the purpose he had intended!
“The holes purpose is a greenhouse or lab for educational purposes, Zatoichi! Now what did you use it for?” Kai asked as he tried to ignore the friendly gestures Zatoichi was trying to use on him. Kai wasn't the touchy feely type of person. However he did try a sip.of Zatoichi's coffee. Kai liked coffee and he might forgive Zatoichi if he gave him his coffee and dug the hole back out for him. Yeah, that sounded fair!
“Fine, tell you what, let's barter…you give me this coffee and dug the hole back out and we'll call.it fair, I won't be mad and everything is fine. Deal?” Kai asked, taking the coffee and scooting it back in front of him. He then reached his hand out and waited for Zatoichi to take his hand and shake it! Any deal involving Kai getting coffee was a good deal, but this was an excellent deal because Kai would get his hole back without having to get dirty himself!
