Rivers in the Desert

The desert was a hot place. Nothing but sand everywhere as the sun beat down upon the shinobi Daiki as he had used the transformation jutsu in order to put a cloak around himself. It helped in order to block the sun away from his eyes and body as he was cursing himself for not thinking to bring one himself. He walked along the sands of the desert, his feet leaving footprints in the sand, as he would continue to travel along the path to the place he had been designated to get to. Alongside him was another Genin he had never met before but he didn't want to speak to him in the event it would probably be an annoyance thanks to the desert heat.

[Travelling to Claw Country]

Traveling through the desert was…eugh…

Kin hated it to say the least. Beads of sweat could be felt dripping down the sides of his cheeks because of the sun’s beaming, hot rays. It was all really gross. One would think that just living in the desert alone was enough to get them accustomed to the extreme temperatures seen throughout the climate, but in all honesty that wasn’t the case. The walking done was never really as long of a distance as the one they’d have to do now. Plus, most of the time, the noble would be carrying an umbrella of some sorts to provide even a tiny bit of shade to escape the dreaded rays. And it would seem as if he wasn’t the only one who felt this way. While it wasn’t verbally confirmed, just by turning over to glance at his mission partner’s face, he could see the look of exhaustion starting to set in on the other man’s visage as well. While the two didn’t really talk throughout the journey, Kin would make a comment then and there stating ”You didn’t see me looking this…well…hideous…” The comment was in reference to the droplets and the overall fatigued look.

Daiki laughed at that comment from his partner for this mission as he gave a smile from under his cloak. "Don't worry. It'll stay between us." He would keep on a smirk as they traveled along the path of the desert all the way to the destination of their mission: Claw Country. At first glance it didn't look like much. But it would have to do for what he and his partner were there to do. Plus it was outside the desert limits which allowed him to drop his transformation and the cloak disappeared off of him in a puff of smoke. "You ready?" he would ask his partner. "Let's go home with a win and make ourselves and our village proud." He grinned as he would enter the country with a pep in his step.

It was good to know that the joke, well, not really a joke, but lighthearted comment rather, just remained as it was. Hearing the chuckle and spying a grin from underneath the cloak helped improve the sour mood caused by the heat just a tiny bit. Until, at long last, they had finally crossed the border and into Claw Country. Kin would walk with an elegance and poise that was place into each step, while responding back to Daiki ”Indeed. My family has a contact here which has agreed to aide us in this matter, which brings me to another thing which must remain secret.” What once was an entirely jovial natured voice had turned rather serious in a matter of a minute. ”You didn’t see or hear anything about this contact, where they are going to meet us, or where my family’s money comes from.” And with that being said, the duo could finally begin.
