Departing the Hidden Sands

It was an end of a chapter for the young Jugo as he made his way towards the cleft of the village, dressed in his regular disguise, armed with a small bag, tied to his waist under the large black cloak that he wore. His stature, typically small compared to his full height, naturally he didn’t know of the dangers he would face out in the open world and while the Kazekage guaranteed his safety within her walls, it was time to move on, he was confident that the road ahead was going to be one filled with challenges. Walking at a steady pace, using his walking stick for support, he gradually made his way through the village towards the insane large gates that shielded the interior.

Approaching the gates from the interior, he navigated through the small parting prior to approaching the guard tower where he had received his visitation permit. Looking back towards the gate, he took a moment to reflect on the growth that he had undergone inside the village. Flashing a small smile under his scarf, he returned his visitation permit to the guard that was stationed at the tower, before parting ways with the village.

It was an end to the first chapter of the Jugos life as an independent individual. It was time for him to make his way to the land of power, the country of lightning, the village hidden in the clouds. Taking a final glance over his shoulder. He began his journey to Kumogakuren.

Hans was on guard at the gate again, honestly the path to the land of sand had been quiet for some time now- the biggest commotion having already passed with the Summit some months ago. Perhaps this was his time to catch another few hours of Shogi practice undisturbed. A few moves in and the elderly man picked up an unsteady gait headed toward the guard tower window, pushing up from his chair he sidled over to the opening just as the stranger he had only seen once slid the visitation permit over the wooden ledge that separated the two men.

The stranger looked and smelled much cleaner than the time he had entered the village - but still disguised as though the mere knowledge of his existence was threat to his life; the only visible part of him was his eyes. Shaking his head shortly he nodded at the returned permit and left the man to his devices; this was never any of his business and he was too old to be curious anymore. Han would slide the permit into a folder of used permits - once a week this folder was returned to the Kazekage and all known passerby were recorded and kept on file - if they ever chose to return the permit would be much easier to attain.

No words were passed by the two but a departing wave at his back was given by the elder man as he sat back at his Shogi board; his shift fully underway.
