Old and the New

Asahi listened intently to Musu's words as the walked through the village. The man didn't answer all of his questions, but he was glad for the ones he did. He learned that Musu was a Jounin and had spent time in the Sealing Corps before that. Both very prestigious positions compared to the lowly status of a Genin. Musu offered some advice to him that helped strengthen his beliefs in his own abilities.

"I'll remember your words," he told Musu. "When the time comes I'll prove my worth to the whole Village."

They continued to walk around Sunagakure. They passed many shops and stalls as they day moved on from afternoon and started to approach the evening. The village was fairly lively in the sections they were going through, places that Asahi had generally tried to avoid. Still, it was nice to get out and explore the place that he called home, and he was more than happy for the opportunity, especially when it came with meeting a Jounin. He wondered finally where Musu was leading him before they passed by a particular location that the ninja stopped to comment on.

"For Tea?" he replied. Asahi was not a big fan of Coffee or Tea, but it was an offer he didn't want to turn down. He could stomach the drink for more conversation. It was a good opportunity to learn more and perhaps even meet others. "Sounds lovely, I... like tea," he nodded in agreement. With that he entered the shop with Musu. He sat down wherever Musu led him and would order the smallest cup available.

“I’m sure that you will. You have to.” Musu would reply. He wasn’t sure the man had ever been in a battle before but he assumed that he hadn't given his experiences and the way that he had talked with the jounin so far. Regardless Musu knew clearly that there was no choice in that matter. One day he would either have to step up or perish; he must claim the responsibility that all ninja must do at some point or another. It made Musu wonder a bit about when his time would come to do the same. With the Kage Summit on his mind he could feel the winds of change through the air. Something big was going to happen very soon to the villagers of Sunagakure, Musu was sure of it, and everyone must be prepared.

Asahi appeared to take to Musu’s requests rather well and they were on a brisk pace through the village. The man even agreed to join Musu for some tea which delighted him to no end because Musu enjoyed spending time in Uncle Dragons tea Shop. With the sun still in the air but in its waning moments Musu would open the entrance to the tea shop and usher Asahi inside. Even from outside the building Musu could smell the aroma of freshly brewed tea coming from inside which made Musu grin and giddy with excitement. It's best to enjoy the little things now while they are still able to be enjoyed.

“After you, sir.” He would say to genin.
