The Mizukage Monument:

It was a pleasant morning, Kato stretched and stood up out of bed. He stumbled over to the window to his apartment, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes in the process and opened it. Kato gazed out on the gorgeous view that he was privileged to see every morning and took in a deep breath off the fresh air. The sun was shining and there were only a couple of clouds in the sky, like a couple of stray sheep making their way across a wide river. As he was marvelling at the lovely weather he heard the flap of wings. The sound got louder until a carrier mission landed on his open windowsill with a scroll held in a small bag on the pigeon's chest. Kato took the scroll, fed the pigeon a few seeds and read the details of the mission scroll. "Another E-Rank. I will meet the quota in no time at this rate" Kato thought to himself as he thoughts went ahead to his day of work. It was a simple mission today, just menial labour, but it would be interesting regardless. The mission was to clean the massive Mizukage monument, they were quite large so Kato hoped they weren't in too bad of condition, if it was it would take all day. "Well there is no time like the present, I may as well get started" with that thought Kato gathered his things, left his apartment and headed towards the Mizukage monument.

It didn't take long for him to get the the Mizukage monument, that was one of the plus sides of living in the Mist village. As the village was basically a collection of islands it didn't take long to get anywhere, well if you're on the right island, travelling between the islands can take some time but Kato generally spent his time on the large centralised island. Kato looked up at the grant monument as he climbed the stairs that is sat upon, he had never met this Mizukage but he had heard stories about him. The tales about Xyxer Gyojin were legendary, he was the one who helped make Kirigakure what it is now and helped establish the village in the islands country. However that was only half of the story, he was also known for being brutal and of course for the blood games that he ran during his time leading the village. Staring up at the visage of Xyxer Gyojin, Kato wondered what it was like to be a part of the village back then, it sounded like a wild time. 


Kato had brought a mop and bucket packed full of heavy duty cleaning materials with him to the monument, he knew there was bound to be lots of bird droppings and sea foam on the statue, it came with the territory. With speed and elegance Kato used the cleaning materials that he brought with him to clean the Mizukage monument. The statue was much larger than him so Kato channelled chakra to the bottoms of his feet, enabling him to walk upon the statue and reach all those difficult areas to clean. Kato made relatively short work of the cleaning, the benefits of being a member of the Hyuuga clan was evident as he moved rapidly up and down the monument. The odd passerby stopped and watched the cleaning display, it wasn't everyday you saw a ninja running up and down the Mizukage monument whipping a mop like a cleaning whirlwind, Kato would probably stopped and watched as well if he was in their shoes. 


After an hour or two the Mizukage statue was gleaming, the rays of the sun reflecting off the shining visage of Xyxer Gyojin and Kato was finished. Now that his task was complete Kato tidied up his cleaning materials and returned to mission HQ to return his completed mission scroll.
