As the clones and the original began moving, Kaito tracked their every move, thanks to the white eye underneath the eyepatch. As they moved in, and the closest clone formed one handseal, he formed a unique handseal of his own and took a deep breath, his eyes glowing white while a yellow aura surrounded him. As the closest clone formed another handseal, the farthest clone reached for a kunai, and the original drew closer, Kaito took another breath, and his muscles bulged, straining with potential power. When the Kunai was thrown and the 30 needles took shape, Kaito took a final breath using a unique handseal, and his skin turned darker than it had been before.

As the Kunai was thrown and the water needles made their way towards Kaito, he quickly slid his fingers into his pocket and threw a kunai at the incoming projectile, deflecting it before it made its way to him. The closest clone seemed to have a trick up his sleeve, but Kaito couldn’t afford to waste any more time: his chakra reserves were being slowly depleted due to the recently transplanted Sharingan, and even though it was useful, as he was able to see the potential trajectory of each needle, the exam severely limited his chakra pool, and he grew impatient. Kaito had barely noticed the explosive tag attached to the kunai, and as the water needles inched their way towards him in slow motion as it were he couldn’t help but have flashbacks to his fight with Zento. A fight that should have one winner and one loser in which Kaito tried to kill the genin. It appeared Ikari was just as pragmatic as Kaito when it came to fighting; if one was to win, one must deliver a wound so severe they need not fear retribution.

With the boost to his vitality though, Kaito lowered his knees as he threw the kunai and dashed forwards, at speeds the woodfolk would not be able to follow as it was now thrice their own speed. The boost provided by the techniques he now employed as he bull rushed towards the original, a mere 24m away from him, reduced the damage of the incoming projectiles and indeed made him burst through them, splashing particles of water too small to stick to him.

The distance closed in a matter of seconds, he burst through the trees due to the power of the bull rush, ready to turn himself into a projectile should his white eye notice anything sprouting from the floor, but he would be now face to face with the Original, and straightening his fingers, he would aim at puncturing the gut of the youth at speeds he wouldn’t be able to understand.

Ikari had begun dropping back as fast as he could into the forest as the needles began flying toward the former Jounin. As he ran through the forest he would be performing one handed hand seals to perform the technique Wood Release: Cutting to create five branches that would come out of his body and extend out to five meters. The branches would have two to cover behind him, and three to cover his sides and front of his body. Kaito was just about to begin dealing with the kunai and explosive tag as he fell back into the forest. The former Jounin grabbed his own kunai knife and would deflect the knife that Ikari's clone had thrown just moments before with a throw of his own. Ikari would have reached 15 meters into the forest when he noticed that the mist that Aroma had created left giant puddles within the grassy floors that he had created at the beginning of the exam.

Ikari knew that he wasn't going to have enough time to do much so he began sprinting up one of the trees when he noticed that the former Jounin had gone after the clone that was beside him at the edge of the forest. Ikari figured that he must have believed the clone to be the original and went full speed and tilt into him. Ikari's wood clone would immediately release the rather large mass of water that was beneath them leftover from the heavy mist that Aroma had created to stop the former Jounin in his tracks, this would happen as Kaito would reach the range of 2 meters. While the former Jounin's speed was pretty much inconceivable, Ikari's clone had already performed the proper hand seals and was ready to release the water prison at less than a moment's notice, and decided to create the water prison as Kaito had begun his movements.

The other clone would grab the kunai with the exploding tag that was stuck in the dirt slightly behind the former Jounin's newfound position from where he would now be stuck within the water prison. Ikari's first clone would keep his one hand within the water prison so he would be able to keep the former Jounin trapped within the sphere of water. The clone would tell the actual Ikari, if it remained the case, that he would be trapped through their telepathic bond.

Ikari himself would be still standing on the puddles that riddled and muddied up his forest floor thanks due to the heavy mist that had seemed to go away at once, turning back into water and soaking the ground below the entire area of the forest that the mist had covered. He would perform the Snake hand seal and clap his hands together, anticipating the former Jounin to reach his position at any moment, keeping his branches at the ready. The second clone would hold his kunai in his hand, ready to throw the kunai into the water prison to break the prison and neutralize the former Jounin that would be trapped within.

The deed was done, but the fashion in which it occurred would upset Kaito. Because the young genin had turned back, Kaito’s attack had no other option than breaking through the spinal cord of the youth; he had attempted to burst spikes from his back, but to no avail; Kaito’s Bull Rushing splintered the cutting technique as though it were paper mache. His hand sunk into the lower back of the youth who had turned tail and ran, wet and slick with blood, but also hard and pressing against the steel skin of the former jounin from the shattering bone of the spinal cord of the youth. His entire body slammed against the youth’s body, his shoulder specifically hitting in between his shoulders to damage the cervical vertebrae of his spinal cord and prevent him from being more of a threat. Hopefully the hospital would be able to assist in restoring these broken parts of the boy.

The bout of pain would likely be too much to handle, and the clones would likely be dispelled. Just in case that wouldn’t happen, Kaito swung an arm around the youth, careful not to touch the wood cutting spikes that had grown around him, and burst through the forest while the trees’ superior power shattered the remaining wood cutting spikes.

Kaito delivered the boy to the gates in a quick fashion due to his superior speed. “Take him, heal him! Quick!”

As the gates started opening, Kaito took his hand off of the back of the Senju and started going through his pockets and weapon pouches; he stole one military ration pill, two kunai, and two explosive tags. He crunched the pill between his teeth as they took the body from his and turned his back, the effects of Seven Heavens dissipating.

His byakugan perused the battlefield, taking note of everything in it. It was so good, he was able to see the kunai he had deflected with an explosive tag wrapped around its handle all the way across the battlefield. He would note the positions of the clones and the nice little path he had carved through the entire middle of the forest in his little rampaging charge.

He swallowed the pill, took a deep breath and let his voice reverberate through the battlefield. “Both of my adversaries have now been disabled. Aroma has been taken away, and the caster of the clones has just been carted away behind me with a broken spinal cord, leaving me as the victor!” The crowd appeared to grow silent. They didn’t care to see Kaito win; he was a joke in their eyes and they appeared to have high hopes to see him being lampooned. If the clones were still around even after the original receiving severe wounds that would’ve likely been transmitted as physical pain to the clones and dispelling them, he would add: “These are but clones of the vanquished, and have no claim to fight any longer." Clones or not, he would say "Crown me victor, crown me sore winner, but most of all, you will no longer refer to me as the jounin who lost to a genin. You will refer to me as Kaito Noboru, Chunnin of the Kumogakure.”

All this would happen as long as he wasn't interrupted, of course.
