Med Assistant

It was 7AM. The old lady behind the mission desk was smoking a cigarette while sifting through a folder of mission requests.

“It’s nice to see you again. This mission just came in, it will do you some good to see things from a different perspective.”

The mission lady would say as she pushed forward an envelop containing the details to Fu’s next mission. Fu snatched up the envelope like she had the previous time she was there and exited the building. Once in the sun light she would pry the seal open and remove the documents from within.

The mission was to report to village hospital and assist with facilitating medical aid to a group of Genin that had received some injuries on their mission. With her instructions in hand, she would proceed to the Leaf Hospital.

Fu was now wearing her nurse outfit and assisting the real staff in providing medical aid to the Genin. One Genin she was helping had a whole kunai sticking out of his leg. Fu knew that if it was her assigned to that mission that wouldn’t of happened. She was honestly more focused on being jealous that she was stuck with the boring missions instead of fighting.

A team of medical shinobi then surrounded the injured shinobi and began using a strange jutsu that would cause their hands to glow. They would proceed to hover their hands over the wound while another started to remove the kunai from his leg carefully. Fu was fascinated with what she was seeing. She was so interested that she found herself closer than she probably should have been, to the point where she was kind of in the way. However, no one said anything, and the kid was probably just happy to be getting help.  

Just as quick as they removed the kunai, the boy’s full injury was practically healed.

That’s some jutsu, Fu thought to herself. “Hey what jutsu is that you guys used to heal his wound like that so quickly?” The young shinobi eagerly inquired.

“I’m happy to see that you are so interested in learning the jutsu we use to heal shinobi who get injured in the field. Not a lot of people are interested in this kind of work lately. What you saw was a medical jutsu. Not everyone can perform such jutsu, so it really takes someone with a special talent and understanding of the body.”

Fu wondered if she was capable. She also thought this woman sure did talk a lot. Just when she thought it was over, she kept talking.

“If you are truly interested in learning. Stop by the village shop and pick up a copy of ‘The Human Body: The Ultimate Machine. It will give you some basic information to get you started.”

Maybe she was right. Fu decided she would go and get herself a copy once she saved up the money because more than anything she wanted a sword and good swords aren’t cheap.
