Meet The Team! (Private, Nk, Ita, Nekrun, Fuyo)

Nekrun didn't notice the boy watching from afar, nor did he know anything of the challenge they would soon be faced with. There was almost no wind. The sun beat down on the training grounds and everyone there with intense heat. When Ita stood up he was to far away for Nekrun to notice his presence. Then with a blur that Nekrun couldn't comprehend Ita appeared infront of the three with intense speed. Immediately after the Jounin appeared Nekrun noticed that he was taller than the Jounin by half a foot. Nekrun also noticed that there was only one person that this could be, their teacher. The Jounin seemed to have his hair at a similar length to Nekrun's and kept his in a ponytail, while Nekrun kept his in a man bun. Nekrun noticed that the Jounin was equipped with a few weapon pouches, and a konoha headband. Nekrun had his headband on that day and he decided he would wear it on his upper arm.

None of this would surprise Nekrun as much as parts of the next thing that Ita said. "My name is Ita Uchiha and I am Jounin of the Hidden Leaf Village." Nekrun would react in surprise, but it would be unnoticed due to the mask he wore. Not only is this man a Jounin and our teacher, he's also a Uchiha? Nekrun thought as he kept listening to the rest of what the man said. "You three have the honor of being assigned to me, but before we get into introductions, I have a little test for you all." Nekrun started wondering what the test was at this point, but decided he would let the man ramble on as he kept going with his speech. "If you pass, then I’ll agree to take you on as my students. If you fail, well, you’ll just have to find another teacher.” Nekrun didn't know what to think at this comment, he just recognized what it meant, and that was all. Nekrun didn't want to be the one weighing down the team and knew that Fuyo was the slowest of the three genin. Nekrun could tell from this man moving so fast towards them that he had intense speed that Nekrun couldn't dare hope to match. 

“Before we begin there are some rules." Nekrun thought and noticed that this would probably be a crucial part of the "exam" but decided to keep listening “Rule number one: if one of you fails you all fail" Nekrun started worrying more about weighing down the team than before this rule was stated. “and rule number two: you have until noon tomorrow to return my sword. In order to find the old guy just follow the crows." So this was their task Nekrun thought Retrieving his sword, why can't he just do this on his own? Nekrun would continue listening to the man expecting more rules but none came. He thought of what the man meant by "follow the crows" and realized the skys were clear and there were no crows in sight. Nekrun was just about to walk forward towards their goal, ready to get started and train with their new sensei as soon as possible. But heard one more comment from the man "Also, try not to die.” this comment confused Nekrun as he wondered what a old hermit was capable of, but this made him start to think and he realized that this must not be just any normal hermit. Nekrun also noticed that this hermit had to be strong due to him being able to take Ita's sword and get away.

Nekrun while watching Ita noticed that his eye changed to a red sharingan with three tomoes. Nekrun found it beautiful yet terrifying at the same time. The deep red felt like a soft cushion that caught everything and kept them safe, and the black felt like it would pierce straight through Nekrun, like it could see everything. Before Nekrun knew it Ita had disappeared again, gone as fast as he had appeared. Nekrun didn't know what had just happened, but soon after Nekrun noticed some crows fly and ran after them, he had blocked out everyone else, he wouldn't lose the crows he was determined to beat the hermit. Of course Nekrun didn't want to waste time while he could be going through the forest and mountain either. If Nekrun wasted anymore time the crows would be gone and they wouldn't be able to find the hermit. Nekrun would continue running at full pace, hoping the other genin followed him as he ran (47 speed). Nekrun would hope that Fuyo could keep up even while Nekrun was going at his fastest. Nekrun knew that Tadashi would have no trouble following him. Nekrun would dodge back and forth through the trees as he ran. Quickly adjusting his course to the lay of the terrain if anything got in his way as he ran. Nekrun would keep watching forward hoping that he would reach the mountain soon enough and be ready to climb it, but as of currently Nekrun also kept watching the crows and followed them as he ran. Nekrun knew the way there wouldn't be easy, but he was determined to make it there no matter what he had to do. He had noticed that Ita was what seemed to be a good teacher and knew that it would be hard to find another if they failed.

Ita maintained the form of a crow while entering the forest and being joined by many other wild crows who were now strangely moving in a similar direction towards the mountain where the “hermit” resided. If the Genin were to locate the hermit, they would first have to enter the forest and follow the crows. An easy task one thought. Maybe too easy. Next time Ita would make them track him down themselves as opposed to being handed their destination.

 

From above the tree line, Ita would observe the Genin entering the forest one-by-one. The fastest one leading and the slowest one barely moving. If their team was going to pass their test they would need to learn how to act as a team. In order to allow the new team time to bond, Ita would fly on ahead past the forest and up the enormous mountain to prepare. Once on top of the mountain, Ita’s body would return to his original form. Standing just 10m North of the base of the tree, Ita would perform a singular hand sign with his right hand thus producing a cloud of smoke directly to the right of him. Once the smoke cleared there would be a clone that looked identical to the original Ita. In order to proceed with his test, he would need to make some alterations. Ita’s clone would perform the 3 required hand seals with his right hand to perform the transformation jutsu. His appearance would morph from an identical Ita to an old man. His hair grew shoulder length dark gray and his skin wrinkly. His clothing morphed from Ita’s normal shinobi attire to that of a warn looking dark green robe. The clone retained his weapon pouches and shoes, however.

 

“Oh yeah!” Ita would say to his clone before departing to observe from a distance. “You’re going to need this.” Ita would pull out a small scroll and hold it in his right hand, allowing gravity to unravel it. Ita would then tap the scroll and a sword bearing the Konoha insignia would materialize. Catching the sword from the air and allowing the scroll to fall to the floor. Ita would then hand it over to his clone. “Try to take it easy on them.” With that last remark, Ita would position himself on the highest branch of the most Eastern 15m tall tree on just the edge of the 200m clearing in a standing position anticipating the event. 

 

The hermit would then unsheathe the Konoha katana and thrust the blade into the earth, still just 10m North of the base of the large tree in the middle of the clearing. The hermit would scan the perimeter of the clearing with crimson eyes waiting for a worthy opponent.

After a brief 30 minutes of running, (keeping at 40 Speed), the crimson haired Genin would turn his head quickly to see if the blond Uzumaki, and the silver haired Uchiha were keeping up with his pace. If not, the young Namikaze would decline his rate of acceleration (20 Speed,), if the two were, Tadashi would remain his rate of acceleration. The crimson haired Genin, whilst trotting, would check his blue portable timepiece to view the time. 

"1:30? We've been running for about 30 or so minutes? It feels like an hour goddammit!"

The tracer would grumble animatedly, pondering in his thoughts. Now that he thought about it, the rich green trees bore through his line of sight, used to the green light illuminating through the forest. The evergreens blurred due to the velocity of acceleration, now being reduced to nothing more than brown, dotted sticks with pieces of rich vomit attached haphazardly. The wind, now growing into a harsh billow of oxygen, slammed into Tadashi like a rock, creating a current of a clear slipstream around him, if only there was a way to avoid these inconveniences. His body particularly his tannish ocular eye bags grew cold as a result of the breeze, never he had experienced something so cold as this, shivering a little bit. The crimson haired Genin became worried about his partners, turning his head once more to see if they were ok.

"You guys doing ok? Let me know when we need a breather."

The moment Tadashi said those words, he eyes widened in shock, a flattened mountain at the top, so tall as if it could cut open the sky... The number of trees halted at this moment, they would have to scale this to reach the hermit.

"Well... No turning back now." Tadashi retained his consistent Speed as he ran towards the inclined mountain, gripping 2 of his kunai, and digging the sharpened shrapnel into the mountain. Upwards, upwards, up. Stabbing the knives up, one by one by one, it would drive him upwards. No turning back.

keeping up with Tadashi (at 40 speed) Fuyo started to talk to his new team mates about what their plan was going to be.
"So Tadashi, Nekrun what do you want to do with this old man. Ita said we could fight or talk him out of the sword, I think we should talk to him. Think about it the geyser stole a blade from Ita. Ita runs at such an astonishing speed we cant see him take a step most of the time."

Fuyo felt a small bit fatigued from a run that has lasted 30 minutes or so running toward a mountain. Until finally Fuyo and his team made it to the base of the mountain, Tadashi went full force ahead with his Kuni blazing, So fuyo decided that he'd follow his example. Fuyo reached into his weapon pouch and pulled two Kuni. Fuyo then ran to the side surface and used surface walking jutsu to start climbing. he had the Kuni out just in case Something or someone was to knock him off or his chakra was disturbed, in other words, He had the Kuni to catch himself if he was to fall. Fuyo continued to push the group about what they wanted to do.
should we kill the hermit or should we bargain with him to get the sword back? and if we're going down that path we need a plan if this old hermit can steal a sword from Ita we definitely need a plan...

Nekrun kept up his speed with the other two through the forest, he heard Fuyo make a small comment. "So Tadashi, Nekrun what do you want to do with this old man. Ita said we could fight or talk him out of the sword, I think we should talk to him. Think about it the geyser stole a blade from Ita. Ita runs at such an astonishing speed we cant see him take a step most of the time." Nekrun thought of his answer for a moment before actually saying anything to Fuyo. "We'll I suppose we can try to talk to him, but we better be ready incase he tries to pull something" Nekrun gave this answer speaking proudly.

The three of them had made it to the mountain, whether Tadashi spoke or not probably wouldn't change that. Nekrun noticed Tadashi pull out two kunai and start his climb up the side of the mountain, with Fuyo following soon after. It looked like Fuyo was going to do the same thing as Tadashi at first, but holding his kunai he just walked up the wall. It looked to Nekrun like Fuyo was using the Surface Walking jutsu. "A waste of chakra" Nekrun muttered under his breath before pulling out his scythe and kunai, He used the scythe to do most of the pulling, just using the kunai to hold himself when he had to pull the scythe up. Nekrun would continue his way up as he tried to make conversation. "So how powerful do you think this hermit is?, I mean I know he stole that sword from Ita, but it could have been while he was asleep. Actually on second thought, a Jounin like Ita probably would have woken up when the hermit came to take it. Either way we should be on guard and ready for a hard battle, don't you think?"

The old man was growing stiff while waiting. He was also growing increasingly impatient. What was taking the three so long to get here? He thought to himself. It was a simple task, travel through the woods and get to know each other, scale the mountain and deal with the clone. Had the three been unsuccessful in the easiest part of the mission? If so their privilege to be taught by the Uchiha was not meant to be. Ita had spent his whole life within the Leaf village and spent an incredible amount of time roaming the forest that surrounded the village. Never had he encountered something dangerous enough to end his life, never mind the life of a squadron of three. Thinking back, Ita had to retract his statement. He had never met something from nature that was dangerous enough to take his life. Shinobi on the other hand was another story…
 
 
 
In order to satisfy his desire to know what was taking the group so long, the man would raise his right hand in front of him and begin to form hand seals with his singular hand. Bird – Rat – Ox- Monkey – Rat – Snake – Seal of confrontation. The hermit would hold the seal of confrontation for a moment. Just then, dark rain clouds would begin to formulate in the sky in every direction within a mile radius of him. The dark clouds would block out the sun and cause the surrounding area to become a bleak gray. Shortly after a heavy rain would begin to fall towards the earth infused with the man’s chakra. With the rain came a drop-in temperature as well. The sudden downpour of rain would most likely make the Genin’s climb to the top a little more difficult, assuming they were able to make it that far. Ita wondered how they would scale the mountain? A smart shinobi would most likely use the surface walking technique. Maybe one of them had an ability to fly? The ground beneath the man’s feet became damp, and slowly the terrain around started to become flooded, the excess water flowing down the sides of the mountain.
 
The hermit would allow his right hand to fall back to his side once the technique had been compelted and he would let out a disappointed sigh. Regardless of his technique, he was still unable to detect anyone nearby. What was taking them so long? The man continued to wait just 10 meters away from the base of the tree, the Katana sticking out of the earth in front of him. The man’s crimson eyes would continue to observe the perimeter of the clearing waiting for someone or something to appear and entertain him.

Harsh pelts of rain smacked the rocky terrain, nearly flushing the ginger back down to the ground. If he had to estimate, it had been about twenty minutes since they started, the top couldn't be that far away. The rain didn't bother Tadashi much, he had only hoped Nekrun and Fuyo would be as strong as him to go on. Answering Nekrun's question, he would remain his steady pace, almost done with the final stretch with a small smirk, 

"Yeah, I guess we should be careful. If we come in contact with the hermit and he's itching for a fight, I'll approach him first. Nekrun, I hope you can back me up from the side. Fuyo, try to retrieve the sword using Matatabi while we're distracting the hermit. While Matatabi is doing that, fight with us." He said firmly, someone had to be the leader in absence of Ita.

"Blooooooooooooddddddddddddddd.................. I've been itching for a fight......." A voice echoed in Tadashi's mind, it was Tenbatsu, the spirit of his sword. It was a heavily bloodlusted individual, at least when the ginger came across the enchanted blade in the Konoha Forest. 


"Shut the hell up." The teen scowled telepathically to the spirit, he hated Tenbatsu, but he couldn't deny the fact that the spirit wielded great power. 

A few seconds later, there was nothing else to latch on to, which meant, they have arrived at the clearing, albeit at the edge of it. Tadashi lifted himself up as he put back the two kunai in his left ninja pouch, 5 meters in front of the edge, hands in his jacket pockets. His eyes widened, seeing the beautifulness of the clearing firsthand. Tadashi was  They were east to the Cherry Blossom tree, nearly 100 meters away from the landmark. Tadashi however, couldn't see it, as a 15-meter tall wood piece was in front (30 meters) of the group, (basically the same tree the hermit is in.) What made the ginger happy was the fact that a blade was stabbed to the ground about 20 meters in front of Tadashi. It was the sword Ita was talking about, it must be it! The crimson-haired Genin stopped, for a figure right next to the sword was there (20 meters away.)

Crimson eyes. Monochromatic eyes. Kaleidoscopic ones. Eyes nearly pierced Tadashi, as if a downpour of rain wasn't enough. It was the hermit. The hermit was an Uchiha like Ita. There was no way they would beat the hermit without nearly dying. Tadashi gulped. He had to swallow his fear, or else, the hermit would swallow the three whole. Tadashi took a deep breath as he calmed down, now with a more lax face.  His right hand drooped down casually, to signify that he wasn't high-strung towards the hermit, however, his left hand would remain in his pocket. 

If Nekrun and Fuyo were right behind Tadashi, he would straighten his hand casually, as it meant in sign language to stop or to not engage at this moment. With that, Tadashi would talk,


"Yo hermit dude, mind giving us that sword you got there?" The ginger would remain on constant guard, as it may not seem that on the outside.
