Importance of Failure (OPEN) (NK) Empty Importance of Failure (OPEN) (NK)

Sun Jan 28, 2018 1:49 pm
Two days had passed since the tournament Hoshi was holding first round were done. Semi finals were going on. Tsume had wanted to enter the semi finals and then the finals to win. But that didn't seem to go down like he hoped, he and Hakucho lost the very first round to a tai jutsu user. But Tsume wasn't humiliated, angry or upset and neither was Haku.

Tsume and Hakucho had finally gotten out of the hospital after they were severely damaged during the battle. They still had bandages on but they were allowed to go home. The Doctor told them to take it easy for another couple days, but both were too anxious to start training again. So as soon as they arrived home, they grabbed their gear and headed for the training field.

Since they lost to a tai user, they knew they needed to train to counter a tai user. That meant training both long ranged assaults and short ranged. They both had long range and short ranged attacks already but as it seems they needed to improve still on those fields. So first was long range, Tsume worked on his rupture with the transforming blade because in the battle his normal katana was shattered, and his shuriken/kunai throwing. Hakucho worked on his feather strike.

After they spent a good hour on honing on missile attack, it was time for close ranged training. Tsume transformed Haku into his clone so he could practice his tai jutsu. Tsume, on the other hand, worked on his weapon handling skills.

Now it had been two hours of nothing but training, so it was time for their break. Hakucho turned back to his normal form and went on Tsume's shoulder as Tsume rested against a wooden pole with some food for both him and Haku. "Don't worry Haku," Tsume said as he gave the food to Haku. "We'll find Xuba again, and face him." Tsume was hoping they would anyway. He wanted to learn the art of curving his shuriken. Hakucho shrieked in agreement and ate the food in his best friends hand. Tsume wished he was watching the tournament, but he knew that if he was to become chunin, he would need to keep training and devolve skill.

Importance of Failure (OPEN) (NK) Empty Re: Importance of Failure (OPEN) (NK)

Miyamoto had been walking the village proper decided to opt out of spectating the remainder of the tournament, his loss was his own fault and no one else's. However, ho the fuck wants to fight a 22 by 8 meter large bird that shrugged off one of strongest long ranged attacks. It was infuriating, but again...it was his fault. He knew he needed to rethink his plan of attack for future excursions and run-ins with similar fighters. With a sigh, he would enter the training grounds.

"Looks like I am back to square one...next time though I won't lose to a fucking shinobi on a bird." He said to himself as he began to walk around seeing that the place was mostly deserted due to the tournament. He did not know that he would soon run into one of his teammates there training for the exact same reason.

After Tsume told Haku that they'd face Xuba again a voice could be heard from behind the pole. They both peaked from the side of the wooden pole and spotted their awesome sensei. Tsume got up with Haku still on his shoulders and waved to his sensei. "Miya, wanna train with us?" Tsume invited. "I need to work a lot to get stronger." Tsume wondered why he was out here instead of the tournament, but after he thought that, he knew the answer. "So, your battle didn't go well either?" Tsume thought Miya would win, but other ninja are surprising and so it shouldn't be a surprise that there might be another chunin stronger than Miya. It didn't matter, Tsume and Haku still respected their sensei.

Importance of Failure (OPEN) (NK) Empty Re: Importance of Failure (OPEN) (NK)

Having lost the fight with Xuba by disqualification cole decided that he needed more training. Having left the stadium with his second hotdog in hand having done eat the first. Cole didn’t bother to go to his house to change cloths no point in ruining a second change of clothing for training he thought to himself. Cole walked through the entrance to the training grounds and looked around to see who was around. He didn’t think that their would be to many people running around training with the tournament still going on and the finals about to get started. Cole noticed that there was a guy around his age that had a bird, and he was talking to it. He had heard of a clan that used animals as partners in their ninja work and some of them was pretty strong as well. Cole decided to walk over and see what he was doing here and not watching the tournament. Then he realized that he was probably here for the same reason.

Walking over to the guy cole noticed another guy walking over as well. Cole didn’t know who he was having never saw him before. Except maybe in passing on the streets or something. Cole didn’t mind though walking over to the both of them now talking to each at this point. “Hows it going” he would ask with a wave as he approached. Once up to the duo he would introduce himself as Cole and ask if they was up for some training.

Importance of Failure (OPEN) (NK) Empty Re: Importance of Failure (OPEN) (NK)

Miyamoto was not one to talk about his failures often, but learning from them was the best way to grow stronger so when Tsume asked him about his battle it was a simple smile and shake of his head that confirmed his loss to his teammate.

"Unfortunately I let myself down and tried to beat an opponent with speed rather than strategy. Fatal error on my part, but in all things we learn to become stronger for the next fight so all is not lost." He said as a new face joined the pair asking how it was going as Miyamoto nearly laughed, but he did not know this boy so it would be rude of him to do so.
"It is going about as well as you would think, I assume you lost your match in the tournament as well Cole?" Miyamoto would ask after introductions were made. Once he was answered Miyamoto would nod before looking at the two of them.
"So what are we doing here, sulking and licking our wounds or are we here to get stronger?" He would ask obviously ready for something other than talk.

Miyamoto confirmed that he had lost. Tsume gave an empathetic smile, they both knew the feeling. He explained further saying that he tried using speed in his battle rather than strategy. Tsume chuckled, "Mine was the opposite, I tried to use strategy but lost to his sheer speed." It was true, Xuba was too fast for anything Tsume through. It didn't help that even surpassing his normal speed, he was able to boost his power with a strange unfamiliar technique.

Suddenly, an new face appeared and made his presence known. Miya guess that the man must of lost, meaning he was a ninja in the tournament. He also gave the information of his name. Cole. Then Miya said, "So what are we doing here, sulking and licking our wounds or are we here to get stronger?" Tsume nodded, "I've been here trying to get stronger." Tsume looked at his best friend, "Then next time I challenge Xuba, it will go better." The duo really think they have a chance next time. Then, to humor the mood, he said, "Maybe become strong enough to face you evenly." He chuckled but it was totally possible.

Cole took note of the two and how both of them had lost their fights as well. Cole knew how it felt to lose having lost his fight, but he had come here to train and get stronger to prove that he was ready to advance. When Miyamoto asked if they were here to train or feel sorry for themselves. Cole gave a quick nod and said “what we doing going to have a triple threat here last man standing wins” he was ready for that if it's what they were wanting to do.

Even though Miyamoto had not fully recovered from his fight yet he had a fire in his heart. So when Tsume said he would be able to beat him one day he gave a small chuckle. Then Cole, the new person to their little meeting gave up a little quip about having training match between the three of them. That is when Miyamoto's eyes lit up a bit now as he punched his own fist as if enthused by the news of fighting.

"You know I would love to fight, so yeah if you two agree to a bit of sparring I will throw down with you. Don't expect me to hold any punches though you two. If you were in the tournament you know full well that people get hurt. So what do you say, boys?" Miyamoto asked as he grinned at the two of them.

Hakucho looked at Cole analyzing his appearance. Cole was new to him so it was normal for Hakucho to do that to new people. Cole suggested a three way spar. This wasn't the first time Tsume had done one of these so he was down. The problem lied in the strength of Miya and Cole. Miya was super strong with his chakra and fast as well. Tsume had done some training but he still wasn't to the level of his sensei. Cole was a mystery still, so he was wondering what he had up his sleeve.

With those in mind Tsume nodded. "Sure, I'm down for a three way spar." He knew that failure would lead to strength, so it wasn't a bad idea to face Miya. And his curiosity toward Cole was immense. Victory chances were low, but Tsume didn't care, neither did Haku. The white feathered bird flew about 5 meter above Tsume after taking off from his shoulder. This gave Haku the sky advantage.

Importance of Failure (OPEN) (NK) Empty Re: Importance of Failure (OPEN) (NK)

Cole had offered a way for all three of them to get some frustration worked out with losing the tournament. By offering to have a fatel three way battle royal with the last man standing winning nothing at all really. Cole himself had a few cuts in his clothes from the fight having just left from his loss before coming here, but it wouldn’t stop him or hinder him in any way. It was quit a nice day out and there was a small breeze blowing through in the evening sun still up.

After the other two agreed to the fight Tsume’s bird would take flight flying about 10 feet above every one. Cole had heard about it and knew that Tsume would fight with his bird somehow in combination. He had never saw them in action but had overheard some people talking about it during the tournament. Cole would take a few steps back taking off his white jacket revealing the black button down with red outline stripe. The color being popped out with no sign that it could ever be laid down. Cole would throw the shirt over his shoulder letting it blow in the wind a few feet before hitting the ground. He would then lift his right hand up to guard his face and raise his left hand up in front of him with his the palm facing the ground. He would then slide his right leg behind him to use for leverage all while keeping his joints loose in case he needed to move fast.
