Jounin Tournament: 3 way battle Empty Jounin Tournament: 3 way battle

Thu Jan 18, 2018 10:25 am
You all stand in a 75M circular arena made of what appears to be solid earth. 30 health for arena and it goes down 50M’s before hitting a dome of steel that forms a bowl for the earth. The arena is completely flat and nothing lies within the arena to hide behind. The entire arena is visible from any point. Shadows are cast from seats above the arena, where people will sit. The shadows extend 30M’s of the arena around its entirety.  Entering the arena is simple you merely ascend the staircase and  stand some distance away from the opponent. Water surrounds the arena with the earth being slightly elevated, to keep the natural water flow off, it extends 5m’s wide and 50m’s deep from the 75. Making the total arena 80 meters in diameter.

Before the fights begin the kage will stand and go over the rules. Starting with no killing. Since that's the only rule, he would move on. Then he would move on to how the victor will be decided. The fights will end once either an opponent is unconscious or forfeits. In the event of a tie both participants are no longer in the tournament. The winner moves forward within their own bracket until no more opponents remain and then they will be awarded with their respected prizes. If you leave the arena you are disqualified.

Jounin Tournament: 3 way battle Empty Re: Jounin Tournament: 3 way battle

The locking BoKali lay under her hoodie, already in two pieces. Her weapon pouch lived within the pocket of her hoodie. And, of course, her clothing was not normal clothing. She had grown it earlier this morning with her transformation technique. That was the smart thing to do, for her. Easier than having to strip naked mid fight, at least. Within the weapon pouch was five kunai, five shuriken, two explosive tags, and two smoke bombs. She did not bother with having the Katana on her, as she was poorly skilled with it and truthfully it just got in the way. Her headband lay on a normal piece of cloth underneath her hoodie. Currently, it was barely visible, but she just needed to adjust her head a bit for it to fall within her shirt and be completely hidden. She stood with her hands behind her back, waiting for the match to start.

Jounin Tournament: 3 way battle Empty Re: Jounin Tournament: 3 way battle

Sat Jan 20, 2018 3:24 pm
(TLDR: It is about sunset, only shinobi are in the stands, and the last paragraph is important)
As per formal combat rules, I am posting my stat page here:

…… Wait, this was optional?

The Sun was setting after a long day of fighting, however, the sun was still high enough in the sky that the arena was still illuminated by its warm rays. If the girl wanted to be truthful to herself, the Jounin didn’t want to be in the battle, heck, if she wanted to come back to the main realm today, it was to see how Sanae Kaguya, Yurei Uchiha, Miyamoto Termui, and Kotetsu Shinogami battle in the chunnin tournament. However…. The girl actually hadn’t fully seen the tournament poster, she just saw a glimpse of it as she was watching the gates of Hoshigakure from her alternate dimension, and misread that the tournament was mandatory. As such, the girl signed up, and had only just found out today that it wasn’t optional due to the fact that neither Shina nor Valen was around. Honestly…. This would probably be for the best, Hikari always felt useless around Shina, perhaps not anymore, but when Hikari was starting out with practicing fuinjutsu, the woman’s seals always surpassed her own. Prehaps this was no longer true, but being around her always made Hikari’s presences seem….. redundant. And then there was Valen…. Hikari really needed to stop avoiding him and just talk to him about their last conversation.

However, it wasn’t wise to think about who wasn’t there, but instead the girl should focus on who was there, because neither of her opponents were something to laugh at. Her first opponent was Kenshin Uzumaki, the Albino that had intervened in her Chunin exams.  The chestnut haired girl’s other opponent was Shiroi…. one of Hikari’s most dearest friends. Hikari had once spared with the Jounin Loli back when the Fuinjutsu specialist was only a genin. Of course, the young tavern girl had gone a long way since then, so perhaps she stood a chance now?

This entire tournament seemed…. a little bit pointless to the girl honestly. Since the girl moved into her alternate dimension, rent was no longer an issue which meant the girl had more then enough finances to fufill any desires she wanted. As for the rank….. Well, Hikari didn’t have a big desire for it. To be promoted to the rank of queens guard….. was an honor to say the least, but it came with a lot more responsibilities. While the chestnut haired woman would be more than willing to take up any responsibilities she needed to for their great village as needed, she was a little reluctant to volunteer to take on extra responsibilities.

The best choice of action would have been to just drop out of the tournament right now and not bother with it, and if this was her Chunin exam, she might of done just that. However…. There was something that made the girl reluctant to do this, and that would be that the girl heard that there was an audience. This audience would have been completely made up of shinobi of course, as there would be no way that civilians would be willing to watch a tournament with people that practiced the dark magics that shinobi utilized. That being said, pretty much everyone in the stands would be either students, Genin, or chunin, probably wanting to see what a shinobi that had obtained the rank of Jounin would be capable of, and perhaps inspire them selves to train harder, to put more effort into their training, and strive to reach greater heights. Of course…. That would all go to waste if Hikari dropped out so suddenly….

After thinking about it for some time, the girl came up with a plan, a few flashy ninjutsu, and then flee. That would be all Hikari needed to do in order to boost the morale of the village, and that she didn’t need to put to much effort into the battle, or worst win and take upon herself more responsibilities.

With this resolve, the reluctant Jounin would activate her golden eyes and enter into the arena, climbing the stairs to avoid the clear water that surrounded the arena. Activating her golden eyes, the girl would walk 15 meters towards the center of the arena, so about 20 meters from the stands, and about 20 meters from the center of the arena. To her left  she saw Shiroi standing about the same distance away from the center, about 28 meters away from Hikari, (I know that is off, and wouldn’t put us quite in the center, but I am just being lazy with the numbers). Hikari would give a soft smile and wave at her, although, it was a bit of distance between the two, so Hikari couldn’t tell if the girl was able to see the friendly gesture. Prehaps Hikari felt a little bit more safe around Shiroi this time because she knew for sure she was going to get to keep her clothes on the entire time. As for Kenshin, it appeared like the The Uzumaki hadn’t made it to the arena yet. Looks like the two girls would have to wait for the albino so they could start their dance.

Jounin Tournament: 3 way battle Empty Re: Jounin Tournament: 3 way battle

Sun Jan 21, 2018 6:07 am
With a small smirk fixed firmly upon his scarred face Kenshin would walk towards the newly constructed arena that sat in the middle of one of the less used training grounds. Normally there would have been no way that the stitched and scarred Jounin would have taken part in a tournament like this, but he had made an exception just this once. One major reason for this decision was the reward for the winner of the Jounin bracket... an instant promotion to Queensguard, Hoshigakure's equivilant of Anbu. And to make it even more enticing for him... one Hikari Namikaze had decided to take part in this little contest, which finally gave him the opportunity that he had been looking for. Finally he could pay her back for frying him with that damned laser of hers, and if she decided to run yet again... well then it simply made him winning this contest easier. Either way, it was a win win situation for the young albino.

As per usual Kenshin had his Manipulated Fabric take the form of his favourite outfit from his Chunin days, the very same one that he had worn when he had been summoned into Hikari's Chunin exams. The silver haired youth had elected to wear only one fo the two weapon pouches that he owned, and said pouch could be seen clipped to the right side of his body, attached to his 'belt'. The pouch contained 5 shuriken and 5 kunai, along with a single explosie tag which just so happened to eb wrappeed around the handle of one of the 5 kunai. He had elected to leave his second weapon pouch back in his room, along with the two smoke bombs that he owned and his bandages. Worn on his left index finger was his Ring of Suppression, which as the name implied kept his Chakra signature completely suppressed... at least until he used a B-rank or higher technique.

Concealing the Sharingan that Kenshin had implanted in his left eye was the One Way Patch that he had originally created to keep his Seigan hidden from the village. The Jounin had the implanted eye behind the patch closed in an effort to preserve his chakra until the fight actually began, and as such he had the Implanted Seigan in his right eye deactivated.

When the albino got within 100 meters of the arena he was caught slightly off guard by just how many chakra signatures he could feel coming from the stands. He supposed that he should have expected a crowd like this for this fight in particular, seeing as it was indeed a three way fight between ome of the villages finest shinobi. There were only a few chakra signatures worth taking note of, but Kenshin recognised none of them... other than Hikari and Kyousuke of course. It was ratheer obvious that the one stannding near the middle of the arena with Hikari was his other opponent... and their chakra signature was as unimpressive as Kyousuke's own. As the half-blood Uzumaki ascended the staircase to the arena he would suppress the bloodthirsy smirk that wanted to appear on his face... it was time to show this village just how powerful he truly was.

Kenshin would pay no mind to the small but deep moat that surrounded the arena, simply using the Surface Walking technique to walk over the water and approach his opponents. He would come to a stop 15 meters from the very centre of the arena, with the unnamed and hooded midget to the right of him, and the wannabe magical girl to the left. The exact distance between them could be determined by one fo the other two, because Kenshin really couldn't be fucked to do any sort of math right now.

He would listen to Kyousuke as the man went over the rules or the tournanment... or rather rule, as it seemed that the only real rule was no killing. The man would then explain how participants were supposed to win without killling, by either forcing their opponents to forfeit, or by rendering them unconcious, something which even the dullest of shinobi shhould have been able to figure out without having it explained. Snow would then go on to explain that a tie was a mutual loss, something that Kenshin agreed with completely. When the man began to explain just how the brackets worked the multi heaarted teen would begin to focus more on his opponents. That information was useless to them, as the Jounin bracket consisted of this fight and this fight alone. He did however hear the little tidbit that was added at the end, that leaving the arena at any point during the fight would result in that person being disqualified... and once more he felt that little piece of information should be considered common sense.

Once the mountain of a man was done with his little speech Kenshin would simply wait for one of his opponents to make the first move.

Jounin Tournament: 3 way battle Empty Re: Jounin Tournament: 3 way battle

Tue Jan 23, 2018 9:04 am
It seemed that all three were intent upon waiting. At least for a bit. Shiroi debated waiting similarly, but decided that this solution seemed more... Well, she would take the initiative in the least interesting way.

With a jump, she would climb eighty five meters in the air, and with one arm around one half length of the BoKali, would reach up and lock it in place, before swinging herself around to stand on top of it, in a handstand. From there, she would once again launch herself, jumping off of the rod, but using her arms to do the push off. At the last possible second, she would release the BoKali's grip on... whatever it gripped to remain completely stationary, and launch herself up another eighty five meters, doing a small flip to once again be right side up. She would repeat this process three more times, continually going straight up. On the last one, instead of jumping off of and releasing the BoKali, she would let it stay. She would swing around to sit on top of the weapon, and with one arm behind her, lock the other piece in place, giving her a backrest. As such, she would sit quite far up in the air, barely a spec to observers, but certainly still there, and as there was no height to the event field, still technically within it. Plus that flag pole on the side rose pretty high. She was not far above that, so she should totally still qualify.

Jounin Tournament: 3 way battle Empty Re: Jounin Tournament: 3 way battle

Wed Jan 24, 2018 11:49 pm
(Sorry, posting from a phone, no wifi access)

It would take a little bit of time before anyone actually started to do anything, the three Jounin waiting for someone or something to start things off.....

It didin't surprise Hikari to see Shiroi start the battle off, However, what she did was to start the battle off was quite surprising. She would jump, straight up (At a speed of 42, or so I am told, but if not Hikari would adjust accordingly).  The chesnut haired girl wasn't sure what this was about, but  would seize the opportunity as it presented it self.

Without forming a handsign, Twilight would form at a speed of 150 about 5 meters away from Hikari and in between the two jounin Konochi, and instantly sail through the air at a speed of 187, its metallic blade having a sharpness of 221. If left uninterrupted, the blade would catch Shiroi as she was about 20 meters in the air in the thy, diging itself into her flesh. It wouldn't go all the way through though, as the hilt would stop it, but the impact force force the girl's leg, and by extension, the owner of said leg flying with the weapon. This would in turn carry Shiroi through the air until it reached its maximum distance before disappearing. which would be about 90 meters. Draging the girl over and out of the stadium, Which would of been enough for the girl to be eliminated via stadium out. Normally, the girl would feel bad about causing so much damage to her freind, however, Hikari knew Kyousuke was around, and a wound of the size that would be left on her would be easy to heal by the Hogokage.

However, the loli wasn't Hikari's only opponent.

Not waiting to see if the golden blade connected, the Akari would pull out a kunai and infuse it with wind style chakra and place it on a small plate that Hikari made with her chakra, in front of her and would chuck  it at Kenshin (Speed of  162, sharpness of 136, Who was, by Kenshin's calculation, about 35 meters away from Hikari or something like that.), before instantly starting to make the hand signs for one of her favorite jutsu, the shuriken clone jutsu. (Speed of Handsigns 120)

Once the weapons got about 10 meters away from Hikari, the weapons would multiply, creating a storm of 1000 Kunai, the cluster extending  about 3 meters high and about 20 meters wide. If left unattended, two of these kunai would connect with Kenshin's flesh, one connecting to his left shoulder, and one on the right knee. due to the location of the attacks, the albino wouldn't suffer any fatal injuries, but it would be enough to dig into the albino's shoulder, probably taking it out of the fight, and blow out his knee and make it very difficult, if not impossible, for the teen to walk.

Of course, as everyone says now, Hikari's actions might change based on what actions others take, and anything number not listed should be presumed to be its maximum possible value (Unless it would kill, in which case, lower it to something that won't.)

Jounin Tournament: 3 way battle Empty Re: Jounin Tournament: 3 way battle

Fri Jan 26, 2018 12:35 pm
The silver haired Jounin was more than content to let one of his two foes make the first move, and it seemed that he wouldn't have to wait long for that to happen. The hooded one started things off by leaping straight into the air for seemingly no reason, something that Kenshin personally saw as a completely idiotic move. Of course the other Jounin probably had a plan of some form... but really, jumping into the air without trying to gain some form of momentum seemed incredibly stupid to him. Perhaps this Shiroi was of the belief that neither he nor Hikari would try to stop her before she could put her rather strange 'plan' into action... but surely a Jounin of Hoshigakure couldn't be that dense. Actually... Namikaze was still a Jounin... and Snow was the Hogokage... yeah, nevermind.

The stitched and scarred medic would simply open the Sharingan eye hidden behind his One Way Patch in preparation for some kind of attack from either Namikaze or the smaller female. Surprisingly the first to launch an attack was none other than the wannabe magical girl, who simply created a rather familiar looking sword from light particles of all things, and launched said sword at the girl in the air. Or rather, she launched the blade at where the girl would be should she be unable to alter her current course in some way, something that would prove to be rather hard for most people to accomplish whilst in the air. But surely this strange little Jounin had some way of either flying, or altering her course mid air, otherwise leaping into the air like she had would have accomplished absolutely nothing.

Or, there was the chance that she was simply stupid, and as much as he wished he could, he simply could not dismiss that small chance just yet. Yes... he truly had very little faith in the competence of Hoshigakure's shinobi, and for good reason when one considered everything that he had seen some of those Shinobi do, and the reasons behind those actions.

Anyways, insulting thoughts aside, it seemed that the Fuinjutsu Mistress of Hoshigakure was planning to launch yet another attack, at least if the kunai she was drawing was any indication. His Sharingan would take note of the Chakra that she was currently channeling into the blade, and due to the eyes innate ability to see chakra he would be able to spot the light amount of Wind Chakra that coated the knife. And to make things even better for the half-blood Uzumaki his Sharingan would allow him to see the small disk of chakra that she placed the blade down upon. The kunai was facing towards him, and seeing as he personally knew the technique that she was currently using Kenshin had a good idea of what was about to happen. At first, he had simply been planning to block the kunai with a simple Earth Wall... but when the damnable girl finished her hand seals and cloned that single blade thousands of times he knew that such a defense would not cut it.

Hmm, very well, it seemed that it was time to showcase one of his newer techniques... the one that he personally considered to be the most terrifying jutsu in his arsenal. The sheer killing power of this jutsu meant that there was absolutely no way he would be able to use it against either Namikaze or Shinzo, and if he was being perfectly honest, he would admit that he felt like showing off a little. And that made perfect sense when one considered that the entire reason he created this technique was because he felt completely and utterly outclassed by people like Snow and Namikaze when it came to offensive power.

In an instant, when the wall of Kunai was only 15 meters from Kenshin, a pitch black smoke would seemingly begin to seep forth from Kenshin's unnaturally pale skin. This black smoke would immediately begin to spread outwards in all directions in a sphere-like shape, the speed of the smoke almost matching the speed of the wall of kunai that were still fast approaching Kenshin (135). The wall of kunai and the black smoke would meet roughly 6 meters from the position of Kenshin himself... but the moment that the kunai touched the smoke, they would seemingly be devoured by the smoke-like substance. Not even the ground beneath Kenshin was safe from the gas, as it had also been eating away at the earth itself from the moment that it had seeped from the albino's body. The only thing that was safe within this corrosive gas was Kenshin himself... and everything that he had on his person.

Currently Kenshin was standing in the center of a perfect bowl of earth that had been created by the corrosive 'smoke' produce by his technique, and speaking of... that 'smoke' would he lingering in the area for quite awhile longer. A perfect sphere that extended outwards 15 meters in all directions filled the 'bowl' that Kenshin was standing in, and until it faded it would continue to devour everything that came into contact with it... he truly had created a fearsome technique. Despite the Ragdoll of Hoshigakure feeling perfectly safe within his corrosive 'smoke' he had his chakra sensory active and was carefully keeping track of the signatures of both the deluded girl and the midget, just in case they tried anything.

"The smoke that devours all of creation... Miasma"
he would say simply, a dark smirk upon his face as he once again allowed his sharingan to close from behind the One Way Patch. He knew that both of his opponents would be able to hear his words clearly... unless of course Namikaze had actually managed to hit Shiroi with that blade of hers and send her flying over the arena's walls, but for some reason he doubted that.

Jounin Tournament: 3 way battle Empty Re: Jounin Tournament: 3 way battle

Sun Jan 28, 2018 11:19 am
Shiroi saw the formation of the blade, pointed roughly in her direction, and saw it begin movement. And while it was hard to track due to its sheer speed, she had a rough idea of where it was headed from those first moments. And so she stopped, locking the bar in the air and rotating around it, narrowly avoiding damage from the technique. Before unlocking the staff from the world, she would push off, effectively jumping down, though not straight but rather laterally, pointed towards the other kunoichi, and proceed towards the ground, while slipping the staff piece once again under her hoodie.

While Hikari was messing with Kenshin, and Kenshin was appropriately responding, or well, would be soon enough, though she did not personally know what Kenshin had actually accomplished whenever and if that did happen, Shiroi formed a single, powerful, hand seal.

Several things happened in quick succession. First, Shiroi's body became a rainbow of colors, placing the audience in momentary awe.

Next, her knee abruptly bent the wrong way, placing the audience in momentary disgust.

The final step was for her entire body, hair, clothing, and all they covered, to seemingly disappear. And while the astute in the audience would know the disappearance was a mere trick of the light, a trick of the eyes, anyone unprepared may not realize it as such.

And such was how she fell back to the earth, landing a roll and immediately breaking out into a sprint. Running now at her max speed, with a strength well outside the realms of normal humans, even her more average chakra stat was acceptable. And such was how she would approach Hikari, who was still looking away from the smaller girl, having only just launched her volley, not yet having cloned it. Shiroi's end goal was a swift as can be kick to the lower jaw with enough force to send her flying, but not enough force to kill, but only barely. Though a broken jaw was not entirely out of the question. The plan was simple: cartwheel to victory. To put it in more words, she would perform a partial cartwheel, ending on one hand, around which she would twist in an attempt to land her foot in Hikari's lower jaw. Should the taller girl rely on vision alone, she would notice the attack too late to respond, due to its quick appearance within her field of view, and how close it would be to her face when this happened. But who ever used only a single sense?

OOC Note 1:
OOC Note 2:
OOC Note 3:

Th chestnut haired girl would notice Shiroi suddenly changing directions and heading right at Hikari thanks to her chakra sensory. The Hiyu would land and dash towards the Akari (Speed is 170 if I recall correctly.) The Jounin would be about 10 meters away from Hikari as she finished her cloning Jutsu, and the moment that was up, Hikari would activate her Shield of Haven, a golden dome of light would surround the girl, forming at a speed of 150, so fast enough that Shiroi would still be about a meter away from where the shield formed by the time it was complete..  At this point, Hikari would presume that Shiroi would halt, after all, if she continued the attack, she would be very likely to injure herself on the golden barrier that separated the two of them.

(So... I just realized a small problem on the jutsu page. It doesn't specifically say if the shield is able to be seen through or not. So, in order to keep this thread moving along, I am going to say that it can be seen through by all because of the image that I linked to it, but if you guys want to argue that or call in a mod, we can do that as well.)

Now, in side her little bubble, Hikari waited for either Shiroi or Kenshin to make a move, since her options while inside the barrier were very limited.

Hmm, for now it seemed as if both if his opponents were more interested in fighting each other than braving the Miasma to reach him. As is he was safe within his sphere of black, smoke-like chakra, as even though it was now only half of its initial strength, it was still more than strong enough to devour anything that touched it. Kenshin would simply stand within his sphere of chakra, using his chakra sensory to keep an eye on what his two opponents were doing as he activated one of his Seigan’s most useful abilities. This ability allowed Kenshin to flow his Water natured chakra through his body, revitalizing it and giving him back a decent amount of chakra the longer he concentrated on it.
