Taming the Flame! (COMPLETE)

Aslatiel had finally graduated from the academy, and the first thing he wanted to work on was his elemental jutsu.  During his time in the academy, he had focused all of his time into learning the jutsu that would let him graduate, so he hadn't trained with his elemental affinity at all.  So, today he was at the training grounds, ready to learn Fire Release: Fire Stream.  This was a basic jutsu, usually used to build up to a stronger one, perfect for a beginner.  First, you needed to build up Katon chakra your chest, something Aslatiel could do fairly easily.  Second, you form a half-tiger seal with your right hand, and do whatever with your left hand, Aslatiel put it in a circle around his mouth to focus the chakra through.  Finally, you expel the chakra through your mouth in the form of flames.  This part, Aslatiel found, was much harder than the rest of the jutsu, as all he could seem to muster was smoke and a tiny bit of fire, just an inch from his lips. This was going to be a long day of training if he hoped to get everything that he wanted done. Taking another deep breath, Aslatiel prepared to start repeating the process until he got it right.

Finally, after dozens of attempts, Aslatiel had begun to form an actual stream of fire, albeit one half the size of what would be considered average. Still, It was much better than when he had started.  Now that he had begun to make actual progress however, Aslatiel was also starting to become actually exhausted. Without any breaks or food during his training, he had managed to overwork himself, so much so that he had to lay down before he collapsed.  He had lost track of the time, and now he was stuck doing nothing on the ground.  Wonderful.

After an hour of laying down and some fish, Aslatiel was back at the training ground, ready to finish learning the jutsu.  Without anyone there to teach him, he had managed to get to the point of noob-level flames, now he just had to get good at it. Once again he started shooting fire out of his mouth, and once again, he was starting to feel tired again.  This time though, he had a plan.  He set up a hammock between to training dummies, laid down with his fish, and trained in the single laziest fashion possible, laying down with dinner, shooting his fire into the sky.  Or at least two meters up, in the direction of the sky.  There he lay in the training grounds, firing off fire willy nilly, not a care in the world, until he got it right. While this took quite a few more tries, Aslatiel was determined to learn it before the day was up, and continued despite the drain on his stamina. Upon getting the jutsu just right, 3 meters of flame shooting up out of his mouth, Aslatiel would fall asleep in the hammock, not leaving the training grounds until he woke up, hours later.
