Waiting to teach a new person (Solo, P)

(OOC: So, this started as a mission to train a new person to become a genin, but due to a misunderstanding, the person did a solo thread and just learned it all by himself. No problems, but I went ahead and made a 2k WC post, so I figured I would just modify it and repost so that my work didn’t go to waste.) It was early in the morning when the young Namikaze’s alarm went off. She would hit it and turn it off, siting up from her from her prone position on the bed. The chestnut colored haired girl would reach her arms up in the air and stretch, trying to wake up to the best of her abilities. Today was a special day, she was supposed to train a …. Slightly older academy student, on how to become a ninja. According to the mission report, he was a full-fledged adult, even older than the young genin herself and didn’t have a lot of practice but was wanting to become a genin as soon as possible. The young girl would tilt her head and wonder at this, the report said he was from a shinobi clan that was from a very famous around the world. It seemed strange to her that a shinobi from a clan like that who wanted to become a ninja was not already at least a chunin, but at the same time, here stood Hikari Namikaze, who had only been a shinobi for about a month and a half, was a sixteen year old genin. She had been a ninja academy student not to long ago herself, so she felt like she had no right to judge what so ever. Hikari would get up and get dressed (She wasn’t going to the Tachibana Wildlife Reserve today, so she wasn’t wearing a bathing suit under her clothes, just normal undergarments.) up in her normal shinobi wear. She would slip her ninja headband around her neck and let it hang there. Usually, she didn’t wear her headband so others had the ability to see, but since she was tutoring a shinobi that was wanting to get the headband, she figured that it would be a good idea to put it on display as motivation for the ninja academy student. Hikari would leave her room and start to collect the books she needed to return the library. That was the best part of this mission, they were going to be doing it at the library! Or at least the plan was to start out at Kozai Yuki national archives, when that is done, the two would then go toward the training ground and learn the rest of what they needed to learn their.

Hikari finished collecting the books that needed to be returned to the library before putting them in her bag and would sit down for a quick breakfast. She made scrambled eggs and bacon and quickly inhaled it before looking at the clock, It was 8:30 AM, the two weren’t supposed to meet up for another hour and a half, at 10 AM. It was only about a 10 minute jog from The Genin’s place to the Kozai Yuki National archives. She didn’t need to leave for another hour or more. That being said, Hikari Namikaze still wanted to get to the library early so that she could find the books that she needed. Also, she didn’t really need much of a reason to go to the library, it was her favorate place on earth! Hikari would head over to the Library, jogging from her apartment at a speed of 65. She would arrive to her location pretty early, looking for her favoratie Librarian, Suzaku. She would find him pretty quickly (Seriously, did the guy live at the library?)

The young maiden would approach the man and before she could say anything, Suzaku would respond to her, “Why, hello Mrs. Namikaze, it has been some time since I have seen you around. How have you been?”

Hikari wondered what he was talking about for a minute, but then would remember that she hadn’t been in the Library for over a week now! Since she had been in a Kunochi, the young girl had never spent so much time away from the library! She had been busy, and distracted for the last week or two, and hadn’t had the oppritunity to spend the hours that she used to here. Hikari Namikaze would respond then with a “OH, I am sorry, I am a klutzy idiot. I was training at the Wild life reserve like you suggested! I haven’t had the opportunity to come here. I am so sorry!”

That was a slight lie on Hikari’s part. She had tried to train at the wild life reserve, but with all honesty, the young Genin got stopped every time by something before she could get to that private lake that Mr. Suzaku had been talking about.
Suzaku would smile though and say, “Ah, don’t worry, I understand. You are probably the Shinobi that spends the most time here, I understand if you can’t spend a lot of time here, you have your own missions and training to do.”
Hikari would give a nervous smile. “Speaking of which, I have a mission today here, I hope you don’t mind that is why I am here today. There is a new Ninja academy student, and I have been asked to get him up to genin standards by the end of the day. He is older than most ninja academy student’s so it shouldn’t be a problem for him to learn the techniques. Hopefully by the end of the day tomorrow he will be able to become a Genin. But for now, I was looking for those books on how to perform the clone jutsu and transformation jutsu.”
The hansome librarian would smile and respond with a   “Ah, I understand, if you would not mind being paitient and waiting a mere one second…..” and would bend over and start looking in a drawer in his desk. After a few seconds, the gentleman would pull a book out from under his desk and hand it to Hikari, and say, “Here you go my fair lady, will that be all for today?”

Hikari would stare at him awkwardly, what? He had the book so handy? What was that about? “Um…. Uh… wh…. What? Why do you have that book so readily available?”

The librarian would once again smile at the surprised girl saying, “Well, you see Mrs. Namikaze, I just felt like it would be some nice personal reading for myself. Belive it or not, but it isn’t illegal or impossible for someone who isn’t a shinobi to pick up a book on chakra and read it.”

The Genin surprisingly just stared at the Librarian. “Are… are you planning on becmonig a genin? Mr. Suzaku?”

The man would chuckle and respond with a “Good heavens no, my dearest kunochi. I am much too old and loving my job as a public servant to become a solider like you are.  But with all the reading you have done, I figured it might be a good idea to have a basic understanding of basic ninjutsu, so that I might be able to assist you in the future, or if young shinobi need help with their own jutsu training, I can help them with their studies as well.”
Hikari  giggled and took the book, that would make perfect sense, “Well, that is just like you Mr. Suzaku, I appreciate the help! I Will come back soon and swing by to say hello to you! Thank you so much!”

Hikari would take the book and would find a table that was empty and would sit down at it. She would open the book and would start to read the book to herself. The Transformation jutsu is an E rank jutsu. It is a jutsu that doesn't belong to any of the chakra elements, so all ninja can preform it, the various uses of it come from using it as a way to disguise yourself as an object to avoid capture / set an ambush, to using it to transform into a hostile to get behind enemy lines. It could also be used to as a way to impersonate someone such as a high profile target to act as a double. If either of the two later are used, it is recommended to have an ability to change your voice also, either through some sort of jutsu, or through Natural abilities. This tecnique is done by the user making a veil of chakra over his or herself, and altering the way light bounces off them to give themselves another appearance. Hikari would flip through the book and find the second jutsu she was supposed to teach today, The clone jutsu is an E rank tecnique, it doesn’t require an element, so any ninja can learn it. It is a technique that can be used to confuse or distract enemies, more so enemies that have little to no experience dealing with hostile shinobi, such as Bandits, Comoners, or even some Genin, the jutsu makes an illusion that is the clone of the user, but it isn't a physical force, as such it is quite easy to determine which one is fake and which one is real. The clone can't interact with things, so it can't leave foot prints, make noise as it moves, and doesn't leave a shadow from any light sources. The user can complete this technique by separating their chakra from their body and making it take the appearance of the user.
Reading over the passages a few times, making sure she memorized it, Hikari was confident she could explain it pretty easily. Hikari would finish up and look at the clock, it was still only 9:30, She still had 30 minutes before the academy student was supposed to come. Well, she had 30 minutes or so to kill while waiting for student. Hikari would close her eyes and think about the skill that she had been reading about last night. It was about reading and sensing people’s chakra. This is the basic ability to feel out chakra, one can feel out chakra if they focus around them up to about 100 meters, this will allow them to detect all chakra signatures around them, and track them down. Shinobi with a fully devolped chakra network are detected on auto without the need to focus, due to their high amounts of power, they are putting out.  the higher the chakra level the eaier it is to notice it. To memorize ones chakra signature they must spend an extended amount of time with the person, that way, the user can memorize one’s chakra signature from another person. This is very useful when trying to locate people, especially shinobi.

Hikari would sit back and close her eyes, using her chakra to try to move around and find people’s chakra it was fun, she could sense the chakra of even common people that weren’t shinobi if she tried hard enough. It was quite enjoyable, trying to see how far she could go with the sensory, it was a lot like the at will rain tiger technique she wanted to learn so badly. It wasn’t quite as good, but it was a start. Hikari would continue to sit around, working on her chakra sensory, while waiting for the student.



Hikari had been waiting for a bit of time, not a lot but a bit, she didn’t feel another chakra source nearby, it wasn’t to late, but she was getting a bit tired.


The young maiden was playing around with her chakra sensory technique, She was able to sense far enough that she was able to sense some shinobi in the street nearby, but nothing that appeared to be coming into the library. Hikari was getting a little bit annoyed


Hikari Namikaze was able to sense some shinobi in nearby stores and restaurant, but still nothing was nearby. It had been some time, and Hikari was starting to get annoyed, how long was he going to make her wait?


Hikari felt like she had mastered the technique at this point, and had gone on ahead and started to look at other techniques that she might be interested in. Hikari would go out and look at a bunch of books to see if she had any interested. She would go to her normal ninjutsu section and start looking at techniques.

The first book she found was on a jutsu called the wind blade technique. The Wind blade jutsu is an A rank wind style jutsu where the user crafts chakra between their fingers and maintains it for a short period of time, during this time the user can project the chakra as a single blade from the tips of their fingers that is 40 inches in length. This jutsu doesn’t require any books
Hikari recalled reading this book at home, she like the jutsu, but it was just to close range for her, As such, she would flip the pages of the book and continue skimming it, all of these techniques she had read about before and didn’t have a big desire to take the time to learn any of them. She loved the jutsu, it just that they wouldn’t add a lot to her arsenal by taking them. That being said, Hikari would put them away and close the book. She thought for a bit and figured that maybe this was a good time to practice her other techniques, like learning how to preform tai-jutsu better. Hikari would search the library for another section on taijutsu (Yes, Hikari is the kind of loser who will look in a library for how to do martial arts, even though she knows a trainer at the gym at the training ground.)


(Seriously? Where was this student?) After such a long time, Hikari would find a section on tai jutsu, it was very small, only had a few books in it. Hikari would pick up one and start to look through it, and found a section about doing basic blocks. The book would say as following.
Blocking is a simple enough concept to understand: you protect your more vulnerable parts with a more durable part of your body. To use this technique a person may make use of either his or her leg, arm, shoulder or thy in order to block an incoming attack.
There is also a bunch of diagrams on how to do basic blocking. Hikari would take note of them and start to do another check for the person she was supposed to be looking for. Nothing, still. Hikari figured she would just give up waiting for the boy and would get out and go home for the day, she could probably do some repetitions at her house and call it a day today. Namikaze would go to the checkout line, say goodbye to her favorite Librarian, Suzaku, and would head home to start learning her jutsu.
