Haru's Byakugan Training. (Solo Training) Empty Haru's Byakugan Training. (Solo Training)

Sun Jan 20, 2013 1:13 am
(Using this for stat training AND Byakugan training, but if I have to pick one, I'll go with Byakugan.)

Haru dropped the training bag to the floor, stretching his arms. He'd had the perfect idea for training his byakugan, and was here to test it. He looked around the room. It was a huge abandoned warehouse, and however gloomy it was, it was a perfect place to train his byakugan. A small yipping sound came from his bag, which he opened. his dog, Timber, jumped out from the bed he'd made himself in the bag. haru sighed as he undid the knots the dog had tied itself in with it's leash. as soon as he was untied, he took off. Haru clicked his stopwatch, giving the dog a full minute head start, as he slipped the training weights on his arms and legs. The way he saw it, he might as well train himself physically as well as mentally. his stopwatch beeped, and haru took off after the dog, engaging the byakugan. He didn't see anything, but of course, that was the challenge. the exercise was made on the principal that all living things possesed some amount of chakra inside them, and the byakugan could detect that chakra. Essentially, he was playing augmented hide and seek. he saw the dog now, trying to hide between two crates. Haru hopped across the crates and jumped down, lunging at the dog, and pulling him out by the collar, scooping him up in his arms. The Husky yipped in protest, before Haru let him go again. He sat down and and waited another full minute before starting after the small dog again. He searched for what felt like half an hour, but even with the Byakugan, he couldn't seem to find the little guy. Panic started to set in, as Haru imagined trying to explain how he'd lost his dog to his grandparents. He shuddered. There's no way he'd let himself do that. He pushed the thought from his mind.
"I've got plenty of time, it's only been a few minutes." He said to himself. To his surprise, a startled puppy jumped out of a crate directly in front of him. Haru grinned as he chased after the dog. of course, he couldn't see through solid objects yet with his Byakugan, so the dog had been safe. He leaped onto a crate, jumping down in front of Timber, and scooping him up again. Once more, the dog yipped at him. Haru huffed, setting the dog down again and clicking the stopwatch, sitting down. With the training weights, this was actually pretty tiring. That... and haru was just never very good with physical training. It seemed however hard he trained, he never got noticable results.
"Whatever." He said as the alarm went off again. "Time to get after that dog." He said to himself.
He moved in the direction Timber had ran off in, Activating his Byakugan Immidiatly, he spotted the puppy going through one of the crates, which evidently still had food in it.
"Get away from there!" Shouted Haru, scaring the dog away from the crate. Haru ran after him, Slowed immensly from his top speed by the weights. Without the weights, He considered himself one of the fastest Genin in the sky village. He was tempted to remove them as he dashed after the Husky, who was giving him quite a workout, but that would defeat the purpose of the exersise. He pressed on, pushing himself harder after the dog. the dog veered to the left, knocking over a pile of crates. As they crashed down, Haru climbed up them, but when he reached the top, his dog was gone again. He used his byakugan and pressed on, determined to catch the dog again. He could feel the Byakugan coming into focus even more as he worked, Like he could physically FEEL himself improving. He saw the dog again, dashing between crates Haru couldn't possibly fit though. Haru jumped across the crates instead, waiting for the Husky to pop out from the cracks. finally, the dog emerged ahead of him. Haru lunged down at him, but once again the training weights hindered his movement. He missed the dog, stumbling as he landed. Timber dashed between his legs onward back towards the entrance. Haru chased after him, determined to catch the puppy again before he had to leave. The puppy led him in a complete circle around the wrehouse until they ended up back where they started. Finally, Haru managed to corner the dog, Scooping him up in his arms again, he laughed as the dog struggled to run again. This was probably the one perk of having a disobedient dog, the ability to use him for training. Haru released the dog, waiting another minute for the dog to get away, before starting after him. The night continued this way, Haru managing to catch the dog a total of seventeen times in three hours. Throughout the night, Haru felt his byakugan growing stronger the more he used it, Finally, both he and his dog were too tired to continue. Haru and Timber returned to the enterance, packed up, and headed home with high spirits.

Haru's Byakugan Training. (Solo Training) Empty Re: Haru's Byakugan Training. (Solo Training)

Tue Jan 22, 2013 3:24 am
Haru was amazed with the improvement he'd had since his last training session at the warehouse, so he resolved to give it another try today.

Haru stepped into the warehouse once again, ready for another round of Byakugan training. Unzipping the duffle bag and setting it down, he walked across the dark warehouse purposefully. Meanwhile, his training partner, Timber, Hopped out of the bag, yipping exitedly, and yanking on the leash that tethered him to the bag, filled with training weights. Quizzically, Haru dragged a storage crate out of his path, and grinned broadly. He'd found the power switch. Yanking the lever, which was heavily rusted, Haru looked around as the lights flickered on, most still in working condition, but still a few that weren't faring as well. Shrugging, Haru walked back to his bag, slipping on the training weights as per usual. Timber yipped madly, jumping at him and nipping his fingers, before Haru finally managed to get the weights on. Pulling out his stopwatch, he stooped over and clicked the stopwatch, at the same time detaching the leash from his dog, who bolted off instantly. As his dog ran off for this strange game of hide and seek, Haru wondered to himself if this made him a bad Master to his pet. After all, It encouraged running away... He shook his head. There's no way his dog wouldn't come back home, if he DID run away...
Realizing with a start that two minutes had already passed, He started after the dog, activating the Byakugan. Of course, He'd improved on his Byakugan greatly, having increased it's range and effects considerably since the last time he'd trained. He was surprised to find his dog already in sight, apparently having run in a complete circle. Noticing Haru, Timber yipped in surprise and bolted away. Haru chased after him, surprised the dog had made it so easy for him. But just as he thought that, he rounded a corner, entering one of the unlit areas, and Timber was nowhere to be seen. Haru looked around with his byakugan again, but couldn't find anything. He searched harder, not panicking. After several minutes of searching, Haru came across an area that had signs of his dog having been there. For one, a few crates were knocked over, bags ripped up and strewn across the floor. Haru saw in the corner of his eye something move slightly, and jerked his head to look. Another yip, And timber was off from his hiding place behind a stack of barrels. Haru followed him, Jumping atop the crates for an uphill advantage. The dog, recognizing this, quickly dashed in and out of shipping crates, throwing off his master again, who merely saw short blurs of chakra disappearing and reappearing from the crates. Having lost his master, Timber ran off in another direction, out from the crates. Haru, surprised at the strategy shown off by his dog, merely thought to himself: "He's been thinking hard about this, hasn't he?".
After searching for Timber for several minutes, Haru realized that his dog was no longer here. Cursing, haru jumped off in what he figured to be the best escape route. It was unlit, long, and full of scattered debris, so it had plenty of cover for slipping away when Haru wasn't looking. Impressed by his dog's escape, Haru grinned, before realizing it meant he'd been outsmarted by a dog. He took off after him again, filled with new energy. Haru leaped over the crates, before realizing Timber expected that, and took to the ground reluctantly. Once again, the husky had left clues to his whereabouts, having ran through a puddle from a leaking pipe, and left wet footprints running around the corner. Following them to a lit section, Haru saw the footprints lead to a shipping container. He also noticed traces of his dog's chakra resonating from the inside. He quickly preformed a series of hand signs, Creating a shadow clone, Before jumping to the top of the crate, looking over the edge. The clone did the same, facing the opposite side, before they both jumped down at the same tome, shouting: "Surprise!".
Timber, who had been resting in the crate, recovering from the outburst of energy he'd used running through the crates. The puppy sprung to his feet, running to the shadow clone, before turning and running back to the real Haru, and then back again. The real Haru grabbed him by the collar, carrying him back to the entrance. Tying the puppy up again, he sat down, tired. He just needed a break, that was all. He was really, really, tired. Patting the little husky's head gingerly, he closed his eyes, and recovered his breathing. Before he knew it, Timber was barking in his face, trying to keep him from dozing off. Haru kinda did that a lot... He loved sleeping... a lot... The puppy yanked on his headband, pulling him up. Haru sighed, hitting the stop watch again, and letting the dog run off. Realizing he hadn't turned off his Byakugan, He tried to disengage it, before realizing leaving it on would be better for training it. He wondered about how the little dog had executed that plan so well... He hadn't done nearly as well last time... He must have took it to heart... Haru shrugged as the alarm went off, and Haru started after Timber. He retraced the steps the little dog had taken last time, but there was no sign of the puppy. He sighed, realizing this was probably going to be very difficult this time around. He searched for what felt like hours. Finally coming across a promising area, knocked over crates and all, He looked around. Sure enough, tattered bags, knocked over crates, the whole nine yards. No footprints... but he couldn't expect that trick to work twice. He started to follow the trail he'd been left, which looked much smaller then the last one his dog had left, but mabye it was the dog starting to adapt to that, too. Sighing, he started running again, before noticing a flash of chakra. He quickly dashed after it, into a crate. Nothing. He walked out the other end, and saw another flash....no, three.
"What the heck is going on?" He said, Wondering if his Byakugan was somehow malfunctioning...No, that wasn't possible. The Byakugan ALWAYS worked. He sighed again, chasing after the strongest Chakra he'd seen. Another flash, this time just the one chakra. What was going on? He ran faster and more frantically, chasing the chakra, before finally catching it by what he assumed was the tail, and pulling the dog triumphantly towards him...except...It was a rat. Dropping it, he smacked himself.
"You Idiot!" He shouted, taking off to look for Timber again. This was turning very difficult, and Timber was clearly getting better at this. Once more retracing his steps, and double checking the crates that he'd found the rats in, he still couldn't seem to find the little guy... Even with his byakugan, He couldn't see any sign of the dog. He started to worry that the puppy had ran off, angry that he'd been caught... No, Timber wouldn't do that... He was too loyal of a pet. Searching harder and more frantically, Haru was starting to doubt that.
"Where are you?!" He shouted, Scared. What if something happened? What if... There was something in the warehouse? Passing by the entrance again, he hesitated. He was starting to get freaked out... Should he go back for help? No... He was a Shinobi, and he was tougher then that... Cracking his knuckles, he started to turn, before noticing something in his bag... emitting chakra. Half Angred, Half amazed, He reached into the bag, and pulled out a small puppy, yipping happily.
"You little... You're a mad genius!" He said, petting the dog, amazed. The Husky yipped in what Haru assumed was pride. He set him down, sitting down next to him, Exhausted.
"You scared me... Just... Just gimme a second..." He said, rubbing his face. He'd wasted a lot of energy chasing the rats on and on like an idiot. Timber yipped exitedly at him, trying to draw Haru to his feet, with little success. Finally, Haru stood up.
"Fine, one more time, That's it, ok?" He said, patting the puppy's head tiredly. He pulled out the stopwatch, but by the time he'd pulled it out, Timber was gone. Sighing, Haru started the timer. He wasn't sure if he wanted to do this any more, fearing that one day he'd actually loose the little guy. Sighing as the timer went off, he took off after Timber. He had to admit, He felt much more powerful from using the byakugan so much, Although he also felt very strained. That was to be expected. That aside, He was starting to feel the chakras THROUGH objects, not just in his line of sight, but all around him. they were vague, yes, but signs of Developing, nevertheless. He continued after timber, catching him easily attempting to leave a false trail, before giving chase. He never took his eyes off the dog, until he darted into the shipping crates again. To Haru's surprise, he could still see Timber's Chakra as he ran (At this point, I'm over 1500 words, meaning byakugan Level 3... Yey!). Shouting with joy, he jumped atop the crate, chasing after him. Within minutes, He'd caught Timber, who looked very surprised.

After that, Timber wasn't in the mood for playing for much longer, as Haru caught him almost three times as easily, and finally, they headed home, Nick in high spirits, and both of them very, very tired.

Haru's Byakugan Training. (Solo Training) Empty Re: Haru's Byakugan Training. (Solo Training)

Wed Jan 23, 2013 4:37 am
Haru was in for it today. He'd devised a workout that was SURE to yield physical results. God knows he needed them, his conditioning was NOT keeping up with his Chakra growth. Dropping his training bag to the floor, he quickly changed to his training outfit. Today there would be no training weights, he wouldn't need them. Putting in his headphones, Haru got ready to start his Workout for the day. He'd spent enough time devoted to his Jutsus, and his Byakugan, which had developed beautifully, and had decided to spend more time developing physically only. Starting to run on the track that went around the towers, he pushed as hard as he could, forcing himself to focus and count the laps he ran. The track was about an eighth of a mile long, So eight laps per mile. As he finished his first lap, he dropped to the floor and did a rapid ten push ups, rolling over and doing another ten sit ups, before jumping back to his feet and running even harder then before. Already, he was beginning to wear out, but he wouldn't let that happen. He needed to push himself if he wanted to get any better. Finishing another lap, He jumped down and repeated the ten push ups, and ten sit ups, this time adding five more reps to each exercise. Jumping to his feet again, He ran the next lap. He was trying to keep the exercise interesting for himself, by mixing up the workouts every time ("Although the last rep wasn't very inventive" Said a voice in the back of his head). As he ran through the exercise, He realized that this workout was pointless. It wasn't going to improve his performance at all, and he needed to change that. Shrugging and stopping as he finished the last lap of the mile, he slipped the weights that he had forsaken at the beginning onto his arms and legs, and heading back to the track. He preformed a set of hand seals, creating lightning shadow clones, charged with electricity, who ran alongside him through the workout. His challenge was to keep them sustained throughout the workout, no matter what. And if he failed, they'd explode next to him, which wouldn't feel all that good. As he finished the lap, He jumped down and preformed ten clapping push ups, Jumped to his feet, and made the hand signs for a blinding burst jutsu, trying to push himself by multitasking, before doing another ten push ups and starting to run again, clones in tow. Realizing another way to test himself, Haru ran across the wall and onto the ceiling, focusing the chakra to his feet. He figured he could do the whole workout this way, as long as he could concentrate on the clones. This probably looked really weird to watch, but it was training, and it was genuine hard work, however silly it looked. Finishing another lap, Haru jumped to the floor for another ten push ups, not realizing that the floor was the ceiling, and the chakra was in his feet, not his hands. He fell to the REAL floor, rubbing his back in pain. Luckily, the clones had stayed on the ceiling, so hadn't exploded as he hit the floor. Recovering, He went for another set of push ups, preformed another jutsu, and did one more set of pushups. He started to get in a pattern again, and before he knew it, He'd ran another three miles. Deciding he needed something fresh, he dispersed his clones and ran across the training area to the pool, where he ran across the water and realized that was a perfect place to train Chakra control. Focusing the Chakra to his hands, he jumped down and did ten push ups, before his feet sunk into the water slowly. Disappointed, he pulled himself out of the water (Which looked and felt very strange to him), And tried again. this time, He focused too much on his feet and his head sunk into the water. Coming out gasping for air, Haru was determined to get this right, even if it took him all day. He pulled himself up again, still dripping wet, and went down for another set of push ups, focusing his chakra as evenly as he could between his hands and feet. Succeeding at last to get a full ten, Haru rolled over, without thinking, to do a set of sit ups. He fell into the water instantly. Coming up sputtering from the surprise drenching, which really wasn't so surprising, He pulled himself out of the water again, before doing another set of push ups, then focusing the chakra to his back. The resulting exhaustion that Haru felt caused him to fall in to the pool again. Apparently it was a lot harder to focus it to such a large area, like his back, compared to somewhere small, like his feet. Feeling determined, Haru set to work completing an entire Crossfit on the water, Drenching himself too many times to count, but eventually succeeding in almost every workout he could think of, except Burpees. No matter how hard he tried, he could not focus his chakra fast enough to do those. Shrugging, satisfied with his work, Haru packed his bag, slipping the weights off of his arms and changing back into his clothes, as he headed back home. This time, he actually felt like he'd become a little stronger, and boy, was he sore! He figured that he'd finally figured it out. He had to balance it, so he was learning it all equally, not devoting all of his time into one or the other. He wondered if anyone else he knew had ever done an upside down three mile run with two clones, before doing a full crossfit on the surface of a swimming pool.
"Very unlikely." He said, laughing a little bit. He headed home, Eating dinner quickly, before passing out in his bed.

Haru's Byakugan Training. (Solo Training) Empty Re: Haru's Byakugan Training. (Solo Training)

Tue Jan 29, 2013 4:04 pm
Haru pulled his covers over his face, not wanting to wake up. The blaring of the alarm clock made him wonder why he'd bought it in the first place. Reluctantly, he came out from the covers long enough to slam his fist on the clock, before realizing it was already 1:30. He slowly sat up, jerking the bedsheets off of himself angrily. Noticing he was awake, Timber sat up, wagging his tail excitedly. Haru sighed and scratched the dog's head, before standing up and getting dressed quickly. Walking down the hall, his sister sleepily pushed him out of the way to get to breakfast. In this family, breakfast was always made around this time of day, because that was when everyone woke up. Haru slumped into his chair and began devouring a plate of eggs and bacon, before drinking three cups of coffee. Finished, He stood up and checked his watch. Training time. He made his way back to his room, grabbing his training bag and heading back to the training towers. Relieved that this time, there was nothing to stop him from getting there quickly, he punched the button on their suite's elevator and headed down to ground level. He didn't fancy using the bridge this time, so he figured he'd just stick to the streets. As the elevator hit the ground floor, he stepped out and went out the doors.

Quicker then usual, Haru found himself in the familiar lobby of the training towers. Checking for unused rooms with the attendant on duty, he headed up the elevator. Stopping at the right floor, he stepped out quickly, jogging own the hall to the room he'd been assigned. As he entered the room, he dropped his bag to the floor and set up several training dummies. The dummies were special models, complete with artificial chakra lines and pressure points, perfect for training the Gentle Fist. Kicking his shoes off, Haru repeated the familiar cycle of putting on his training weights, and turned to face the targets. Activating his Byakugan, he made the gentle fist fighting stance and readied himself to begin. He looked to his right hand, and focused all of his chakra into it. Quickly, his fist began glowing blue, filled with chakra and ready to fight. Eying the chakra lines concealed inside the dummy, he targeted a pressure point on it's right arm, testing his powers. As he made contact, the dummy concaved on itself slightly, before returning to normal.

Haru grinned as he repeated the strike, one after another, gaining speed with each strike. Guided by the Byakugan, He hit nearly every pressure point in the dummy's body, a total of sixty four strikes. with the final strike, the dummy completely destroyed with the final strike, caving in on itself. Smirking, Haru turned his attention to the next dummy. There were two, standing side by side, looking very tempting to be struck. Haru dashed at them, using every bit of his speed to reign blows on the target he had chosen of the two, preforming the art known as: "Eight Triagrams, Sixty Four Palms". The art amounted to a flurry of gentle fist strikes. Shouting as he want, Haru counted the number of Strikes he landed aloud.
"Thirty Six, Thirty Seven, Thirty eight-" He went, beginning to skip numbers because he was striking too fast.

"Forty four, Forty five, Forty- Crap!" He shouted as he missed the next strike, ruining the Technique because he had missed one of the strikes. If he'd done that in real combat, It still would have wounded an enemy Shinobi, but the results would not be as desirable as a complete Sixty Four Palms. Sighing, he began again, Counting aloud as he reigned blows faster and faster, a blur of motion. "One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six-" He cried as he struck, causing the dummy to shudder with energy. "Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten!" On and on he went, each blow causing the dummy to cave in on itself slightly, Even faster then before. The Byakugan was coming into focus, and his hands were ablaze with chakra. Once again, as he neared the final strike, He faltered and missed the finishing blow, the dummy a crumpled heap, unusable.

Sighing, Haru moved on to the other dummy he'd set up seamlessly, Without interrupting the flow of motion. He would master this technique. He had to.
"One, Two, three-" He counted, striking the neck, shoulder, and arm. "Four, Five, Six-" He continued, Striking the other side with the same blows. Quickly, He gained speed again, Each punch bringing him closer to the finishing blow, as he reigned strikes on the dummy, and felt it crumple under every blow. He felt powerful, like he couldn't be stopped, as he felt the final strike hit home.

He felt very satisfied as the dummy fell, crumpled, to the floor, and even more so when he realized he'd done it, completed the final blow of the Eight Triagrams, Sixty Four Palms Technique. Knowing that he was no where near finished, Haru set about getting more dummies out. Preforming the technique correctly once was not enough, he needed it ten times out of ten, every single time. Against a dummy, He'd be expected to be flawless, if he expected to preform it correctly on a living, breathing, Shinobi. Sighing, He dragged another dummy into place, as he set it up for another fight.

Activating his Byakugan once more, he faced the target, Readying himself in the gentle fist stance. Breathing deeply, he struck at the target, Rapidly gaining more and more speed as each strike hit home, not bothering to count aloud. He'd know when he finished the fight. Each blow seemed more powerful then the last, Each strike crippled the target more and more, and by half way the dummy was starting to come as mangled as the last three. A look of determination on his face, Haru struck the final blow, Sending the target flying towards the wall, and shattering a window. Surprised, Haru quickly packed his things, not wanting to get caught having done that. Without another word, he dashed out of the room, back home.

Haru's Byakugan Training. (Solo Training) Empty Re: Haru's Byakugan Training. (Solo Training)

Fri Feb 01, 2013 5:36 am
Haru felt himself repeating the all too familiar repetition of dropping his training bag to the floor and donning his training weights. Today, was testing out a technique that his grandfather had told him about. He hadn't thoroughly explained it, but Haru thought he had the gist of it.

The way his grandfather had explained it, The technique was a secret taijutsu that is orally handed down only within the main house of the Hyūga. It utilises the chakra control gained through Gentle Fist training to release a lot of chakra from all the chakra points on the user's body. It is also a defensive manoeuvre to compensate for the Byakugan's blind spot, because the chakra released blocks any possible sneak attack on the user. After releasing chakra from every chakra point in their body, the user then spins rapidly to parry the attack, creating a spinning shield of chakra around them, and knocking away any nearby attackers. The move can be used in almost any situation where the odds are against you. However, this technique only works when rotating, since the chakra itself is not enough to stop a physical attack thus if they cannot spin, the user becomes vulnerable.

Haru had called ahead and ordered special shrunken launchers, designed to hurl plastic, dulled shrunken at the trainee, like a pitching machine, but much more painful... potentially. He would utilize the revolving heart technique to block them all. This training session would be good work for him, because he would be practicing his Byakugan, his Gentle fist, and a new technique, all while improving physically. As he set up the first machine, he worried about the chunin exams. There were some good people competing, which caused him to compulsively Cram/Train. He was worried about it, and it was always eating away at him, ever since he signed that form.

He felt like he'd developed significantly over the past few weeks, but some of these benin had been training much longer then him. He'd read the files of some of his fellow applicants, and they were defiantly more up to the task then him. He wasn't exactly defenseless himself, He thought as he set up the next machine. He still had a good skill set, and he always had the byakugan going for him.
"Wait." He said aloud. "There are other Hyuugas in the exams." He concluded. He felt much less special as he set back to the pitching machine. At least he was being modest, and not overconfident. He'd half wanted to ask for another training session with Shinji Uzumaki, who'd helped him master Taijutsu (for lack of a better word), But he figured the former Jounin would be very busy with his duties as Tenkage.

So, He'd had to go back to working out alone, devising training methods that were effective as well as efficient. He'd rigged these pitching machines himself, anyways. Finishing the final machine, he walked to the middle of them, and assumed the stance. The Machines would pitch a shrunken every ten seconds, so he had time to prepare. Haru closed his eyes and took a deep breath, concentrating, before opening his eyes, which seemed to grow much more intense then before: This was the Byakugan, The all seeing eye.

Not that it helped Haru (Who'd spent too much time preparing) foresee the three shurukin that nailed him in any side of his chest. Winded, he fell to the floor, before realizing another barrage was coming. He quickly stood up, before Assuming the gentle fist fighting stance. He focused, inhaling, and readying himself. As the Shurikins launched, he exhaled, releasing his chakra through his chakra points, and spinning abruptly. Haru felt invigorated by his success, until another shuriken caught him in the face. Confused, he stood up quickly, turning off the machines, before standing back between them.

He'd done something wrong, and he knew it. He'd Released the chakra, but it didn't feel like he was doing enough. He needed more. He looked to his chakra points with the byakugan, studying them all, allowing trace amounts of chakra to flow out of each, as he memorized the flow, teaching himself when and where to let his chakra escape. He started at his feet, touching each point, which sent a shiver up his spine, as he worked his way up to his head, checking each point.

Ever the multi-tasker, Haru let his mind wander back to the exams. He'd heard that the written exam was ridiculously hard, even harder still the next two challenges, the forest and the duels. He wondered if he'd be assigned a temporary team, or if he'd have to work alone. He didn't fancy taking on a team of three higher skilled ninja alone. He figured there would be some kind of advantage for him to be had. Haru wanted more then anything to pass these exams, but he knew it would be tough, the road would be hard. They were the Chunin exams, after all, they weren't supposed to be easy...

Haru finished checking his points, feeling he had a thorough understanding of what he was doing. Standing up, he turned the machines back on, quickly setting the timer and running back to the middle, taking his stance. The machines launched, and haru released his chakra, letting it flow around him, engulfing him, and deflecting the shurikin. It played out perfectly. He now felt extremely tired, however, he'd used a lot of juice in preforming that move. He took his stance again, as the timer neared zero, and readied himself for another barrage...

Once more, the shurikin launched at Haru, Who repeated his technique flawlessly, except he'd incorrectly used his chakra flow, not mustering enough, and taking another blow to the head. Haru sighed as he stood up, and tried again. Haru cleared his mind as he counted down, making sure he had enough chakra in his reserves. The shurikin came again, but this time, Haru Executed the technique perfectly, causing the shurikin to fly away, and stick into the wall. Amazed, Haru slumped onto the floor, trying to catch his breath. This would defiantly cover his blind spot, and shield him from major attacks by stronger shinobi.

Haru had promised himself that whatever happened in the exams, if his life was ever endangered, ever at risk of being lost, he would withdraw immediately. It wasn't worth THAT much to him, and he could always try again after he got stronger. If he gave up his life pursuing a fight that he couldn't win, however, then he'd never become a chunin, that was for sure. He wanted it bad, to be sure, but he had to set himself boundaries, to make sure he didn't go too far.

He was proud of himself for mastering another technique, and doing it so quickly, but he'd need more then that to make it through the exams. He'd never know what he needed to learn if he din't try it, but he was determined to get it right the first time. Satisfied with his late night training session's results, Haru took off his training weights, setting them in to his training bag, and changed back into his street clothes. He needed to get home, to rest, before exams. Deep down inside him, Haru knew he'd probably fail the exams his first time through, most people did, but he'd make sure to give it his best, and figure out his strategy for the next time around.
