Sand & Shopping [Mission]

For better or worse, it seemed the last couple of missions involved a hefty amount of cleaning. Not that long ago, Sosuke spent the day giving the Mizukage Monument quite the makeover and it seemed that today wouldn't be any different. Still rather early in the morning, the young shinobi of the Mist made his way to Kirigakure's shopping district. "Huh, sand" was his initial response, not really expecting the Land of Water to be dealing with said scenario. Nevertheless, regardless of how strange the situation might have been, the Hyuuga knew he still had a job to do in the end. 

As he finally arrived at his destination, Sosuke wasted no time checking things out, his first order of business familiarizing himself with the situation and task at hand. Once he had figured out the severity of the case, the Kirigakure shinobi gathered all of his cleaning tools to make sure to get rid of the sandy mess so that the citizens of the Mist could soon return to their daily shopping. With a broom in one hand and a bucket full of water in the other, the young Hyuuga prepared himself for a full day of labor, hoping to get the job done before the night would fall

Mako was upset. The day was ruined and quite frankly he wished he could just go back to sleep and restart tomorrow, but he knew that he had accepted the stupid request and he needed to complete and if Mako was anything he was a person who completed whatever tasks he was given. So here he was once more on cleaning detail, now normally that wouldn’t be something he would mind due to the fact he was an Academy student and still very much learning what he needed to do to even be considered a full fledged shinobi. Now Academy students weren’t expected to undertake missions but with his age and desire to progress quickly Mako gladly undertook these missions, but the one thing that he hated. The one thing that he would rather avoid if all possible was sand, which he understood the surprise it gave others when they find out considering he was an Hoshigaki, but his own family ran a fishing and salvage business so dealing with sand had to be a constant part of his life.

The reason Mako disliked sand was due to often he did have to deal with it. The annoyance of cleaning up afterwards, the annoyance of the feeling of having sand in places they shouldn’t be in, the annoyance of still finding it wherever possible even after undergoing a thorough cleaning just finally put Sand on Mako’s dislikes. So here he was having to clean up sand. It was like he couldn’t escape it no matter how far away he went from the shore. Begrudingly he picked up the cleaning supplies given and got to work, using his hate for the thing he was cleaning to fuel his motivation to get it done as quickly as possible. The work went by quickly so quickly in fact that it wasn’t till the end that Mako had noticed the other person doing the request with him. It was funny enough the same man who had cleaned the Mizukage’s monument so well that it was as if brand new. It was a weird coincidence for Mako and he chalked it up to maybe the man simply liked to clean and this was a passion of his. Taking his request form back to the building to get process Mako would get his rewards and make his way back home more then ready to get rid of all this annoying sand.
