The Shimmering blade could be described as a longer katana, with nearly twice the dimensions of a standard katana. Its blade is slightly curved and 120 centimeters in length, with the base of it being wider than its tip. The base, the first 5 centimeters of length, is roughly 15 centimeters in width before it narrows to 10 centimeters. The 10 centimeter width is consistent for the bulk or "body" of the blade's length, for about 100 centimeters. The tip, or the last 10 centimeters of the blade, narrows steadily until the end of the blade reaches a width of 4 centimeters. The blade's thickness is consistent to that of a katana, being around 8 millimeters. The hilt of the blade is a third of the blade's length, 40 centimeters in length.

Like most katanas, the Shimmering Blade is fashioned from the purest steel found in the world. The hilt is comprised of a wooden handle covered in ray skin, painted a jade green then wrapped and braided with scarlet red silk. The pommel and head of the hilt are made of a cast bronze, primed with a golden finish. Finally a golden design is branded on the base of the blade in a flowery and ornate pattern. Because of the massive size of this blade, its sheath is not hip worn but intended to be equipped on the back. It consists of a leather, plastic, and wooden blend.

Backstory: 
The Shimmering Blade was a sword crafted and passed down through Auron's family. As his family expanded into more generations, they became less and less in tune with the Yamaguchi Throughout the years, its purpose had been lost and it was brandished as nothing more than a heirloom to reside on the mantle over the fireplace. Yet when wielded by an awakened Yamaguchi, its potential becomes realized.

Trick Blade

• The Shimmering Blade is capable of extending and detaching into a whip due to a mechanism on the handle. By hitting the button and flipping the blade forward it elongates into its whip form at the users speed. In whip form the blade's length and thickness triple, while its width remains the same. Additionally the threaded portion of the whip is serrated, while the segmented blades are still sharp. The blade can be recalled to its normal sword nature by pressing the button and pulling their arm back. The blade due to having to retract back into place, will reform to a sword at half the user's speed.

Hey my guy, I wasn’t originally assigned your weapon but I wanted to jump on and help. So I quoted the above because as of right now, basic weapons can’t have effects akin to jutsu. (Unlike legendary weapons that do)

The trait you have right now is more in line with a jutsu, so it’ll need reworked to be more of a basic physical property. (Example - the singing blade makes noise when it is swung)
